I just installed an OTA that contains certain security fixes but found out the screen capture (power + home) no longer works. Anyone experience the same?

Yes I've completed the update, I also have 1.22.708.5 and screen capture still works the same as before for me.
Have you tried a factory reset?

Yeah I tried applying RUU + OTA update and screen capture is there. Since I am not using custom ROM I need to find out what did I done to the phone hahaha...
Can anyone tell me which apk is responsible for the screen capture function?
EDIT: I give up, I redo all the changes to the ROM after RUU + OTA and power+home capture is still here. Case closed.

New update lets us non rooted Evo's take screen shots by holding the power button down and pressing the home button Saves to your gallery....I loved that function about root when I had it so just thought I would share

I've had two lockups first when I was updating some apps from market it did quite a few then locked on updating diversion game
Second time I went into quick settings and task manager pressed refresh and it locked
I'm using stock firmware
I've read that some US versions have the "black screen of death" as its being called but can't find out about UK version
Any.idea what is causing it ? What will stop it happening ?

I posted something about my new evo that i bought that was having these random freezes also. I ended up having to get a replacement to get it fixed.
Ah presume yours is US version as you mention 4g I might email HTC to see if still problems with UK version .there US stuff on Google re US version but not UK Thanks

Pls check your hboot before, if you are a very lucky guy you could got hboot 08
To check hboot, shut down your phone complelty:
- uncheck fastboot in settings->power and power off your device
- are just pull the battery ^^
Now press volume up, hold it and press the power button and hold it too.
Wait a few secs and on ht second line should be your hboot version.
if it's 08 at the end, come back here or google "Revolutionary.io"
I got EVO 3d from Rogers and I had the 1.49.0008 bootloader so you should be able to get full s off and root

Hi all. I'm seriously of dumping the stock ROM for a modified one, but what bothers me is the 3D functions,like pics,vids,and games.
Can someone list me any custom Sense ROMs that still have 3D?
It is the point of the phone after all.

All Sense 3.0 and Sense 3.5 have 3D working, expect with Sense 3.5 3D games that use real 3D will not work. I'm running Mikrunny right now, works good for me, I can watch 3D and capture 3D.

I was tried using Mikrunny, but a little bit uncomfortable since it didn't came with a twitter + Facebook for HTC sense, do you think I can make the request for this to dev, mate? If the dev can provide it, I'll flash Mikrunny again, eh..

Yes it does, it has Twitter for HTC sense built in, and Facebook for HTC sense is integrated into the regular Facebook account setting on Sense 3.5

Are you sure? Last time when flashing Mikrunny I didn't find peep (twitter for HTC sense) and stream (Facebook for HTC sense), can we install the Apk manually?

They are both integrated into the friend stream app and widgets, I'm using them myself .

I'm currently on Mikrunny again and this is confirmed. I thought the same thing when I first flashed but noticed by contact list pics and friends stream worked fine. After you sign in with the account you use, it will authorize the HTC Sense services for the ones you use during that time as well.

No and don't even try to flash because you can do serious damage to your phone. You need to go to LG development for LG ROMs

you could try using the clockworkmod wifi hotspot, you can download off the play store (cant link because i have not done 10 posts) you can search this; ClockworkMod Tether (no root)
but it is not wireless

Try Wi-Fi tether. People tend to have better luck with it.

If u r running ics with WiFi tether change the device profile to generic ics, check the WiFi reload box, check mss clamping box and check the routing fix box. And change the channel to eleven. Hit thanks if it worked.
It would help if you actually described the problem you are having. But you should try flashing another rom, preferably stock, to see if it's rom related or not.
