How do you get UEKME? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Right now I noticed I'm running UEKMB. Just wondering how I can upgrade to UEKME? I wen't through the software update in System Information and it doesn't boot I can't seem to find any stock flashable .zips either, only custom roms. Any help would be greatly appreciated, since I actually prefer the stock TouchWiz over the custom roms

flash in CWM:

stock touchwiz UEKME.
you may not need to wipe, but if things go awry, you should wipe.

[Q] Signing Issue on [ROM][XXLPH]Thebyani Rom V3.2_ICS for SGS2 (ICS Style)

When I install this rom, [ROM][XXLPH]Thebyani Rom V3.2_ICS for SGS2 (ICS Style), I get an error that says Signature Failed, Installation Aborted. How can I fix this? I tried renaming the ZIP to update.zip
Although the instructions to install that ROM don't appear to say that you need to do those things from CWM recovery, you do. Not stock recovery, which seems to be what you're doing.
However, if you're struggling at this stage, I would strongly advise against flashing any leaked, buggy, unstable ICS ROMs.
I actually managed to install it on a phone which had already been rooted before

How to flash Stock TMo ICS leak without starting from scratch

I have the new radio because I flashed the Tmo Stock ICS leak. I am still S-On and using 4eXt Recovery and rooted. Everything was working great so I made a backup. I then flashed Revolutionized-Senseless ICS Rom and that also worked great so I also made a backup.
I've decided i prefer Sense UI 3.6 so I tried restoring my Stock backup nut somehow cannot. My question is...is there a zip file I can flash through recovery that would give me back Stock Tmo ICS without having to go through flashing the leaked ph85img.zip, then flashing a recovery, then rooting it and then setup.
MD5 checked on the Stock backup but would still not flash. Any help would be appreciated.
My guess is, and I havent dug into this, that Revolutionized changed the radio or some other basic architecture that the stock ics needs. Im guessing youre going to have to flash PH85IMG.zip. Once you have that flashed and rooted, you should be able to flash back to your other stock backup so you have all your apps and stuff installed again.
Perhaps if you could offer more specifics on why you cant flash back to your stock backup such as error messages or what happens when you try to flash it?

flashing jb roms

Hi, I'm coming from an epic 4g touch (Sprint s2) and trying to figure out how to flash a friend's att s2. He already has a custom gingerbread ROM on there, but wants to upgrade to cm10. Since I know it's fairly easy to brick if flashing the wrong ROM, can someone give me a quick rundown of what's needed to upgrade? I'm not familiar with hellraiser or any other terms specific to this phone, but I've used odin many times. If you can point me to a ROM with cwm that I can odin, then go to cm10, that'd be appreciated. Thanks
Download rom. Reboot into recovery. Wipe data/ factory reset. Flash rom. Profit.
Make sure you flash a rom for i777.
Also, a nandroid backup before flashing is always a good idea.
Let's also hope he has an i777 and not a sky rocket

[Q] I want to switch from stock ICS 4.0.3 to CM. I'm a total noob, need help.

Hi, this is my first post. I'm a total noob in customizing phones and since my phone is quite old, all the information I can find is years old, talking about file versions that don't exist anymore, or became outdated since there are so many different versions of android.
I have been trying to find a good guide to help me do the correct steps to follow to flash Cyanogenmod. I might try the latest 12.1, and then see if I like it.
This is what I have so far:
- international i9100, I live in panama if that's relevant to any help I need
- stock ICS 4.0.3 (with XWLP7 kernel)
- used superoneclick to root, it installed CMW PhilZ touch 6.0.1.7 (I think, can't remember the last digit.)
- used "galaxy s unlock" app to unlock the phone
I downloaded this: philz_touch_6.07.1-i9100 from d-h.st/hUX, sorry I can't post the links correctly for being a new user.
I just made a backup before i will attempt to load philz touch 6.07.1. I read that I need to have a kitkat compatible recovery, is this one compatible. Can I simply flash it or do I need to do anything specific before.
I am trying to follow the steps explained in wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_i9100, but the warnings scare me a bit, can someone please explain the workarounds, thanks.
So, what I'd like to know is the specific steps for my version of android to make it migrate to CM12.1, and what to do about the warnings (should i find a custom kernel, do i need to backup anything else, I read also that the recovery I have doesn't backup efs, so how can I do that?)
Thanks a lot for taking your time to help me out.
@milen_506
So when you reboot into recovery, you have philz recovery?
If yes, all you need to do is install a newer recovery such as the one from this post. Once you flash it, reboot straight back to recovery(you will get a bootloop if you try to reboot into the system). This newer recovery is compatible with the latest versions of android and gapps, so just need to have the rom .zip and gapps(if you want play store/services) .zip ready to flash before you upgrade this recovery. Do a nandroid backup before you flash the new rom/gapps
There are several ways to backup efs, HERE is a link to one option
And as far as custom kernels, you are probably better off sticking to the kernel that comes with the rom unless you are comfortable adjusting kernel settings and you know what you are doing. It would be easy to mess things up if you didin't have a basic knowledge of the changes. Also with cm12/LP roms on the S2, custom kernels are only starting to be developed and are a little unstable for some users at this stage.

Samsung Galaxy Note3 SM-N9005 Android 5.0 - no recovery

Hi All... help...
I have a Note3 SM-N9005 which is rooted. I have been trying to get CWM installed.
I started by using ROM Manager and this just didnt work at all - the recovery partition stayed stock.
So I downloaded the Samsung Note 3 (International) recovery image (6.0.4.6) (non-touch) from https://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager.
I used Cygwin to convert to a .tar file and then flashed to PDA using Odin.
All looked OK and Odin passed the install - however when I tried to reboot into recovery my Note3 just gets stuck in a boot loop - the only way I could get it working again was to re-flash using Odin and when it reboots it starts and works normally - but if I reboot into recovery mode it just keeps re-booting!!
Any thoughts on how to fix this or whether the best option is to flash a whole ROM with CWM already packed? Alternatively - any ideas on where I can get a CWM file which will work on my Note3?
Also - now this has started getting messy, any advice on backing up EFS (just in case )
Thanks in advance
So you reflashed the whole stock firmware via Odin and recovery still isn't working? Very strange. Rom Manager sucks and has for years now. Why didn't you just grab either CWM or TWRP (which I find way better for most phones) from the subforum for your phone here on Xda?

Hi es0tericcha0s
Thanks - TBH I have only just replaced my S4 with the Note3 and just set everything up - so didnt want to reflash with a custom ROM so followed the instructions for installing CWM... and failed I did install TWRP a while ago and couldnt really get on with it - if you think it is better I might reflash the whole phone with a new ROM and give it a go.
I think I did download a CWM img file from here and when I flashed it to PDA the phone wouldnt boot at all - from memory I am sure it came up saying it couldnt boot and enetered "Odin mode"... I will have to back up my important stuff and try again tonight.
Any recommendations on a good ROM to play with? Need a stable product ideally as I dont get much time to play
Thanks
I would just restore the entire phone with the stock firmware file and start fresh. TWRP here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2494245 As far as roms, I haven't played with the international Note 3 in awhile, but I typically recommend stock based roms for less potential issues (I personally prefer CM based roms, but I have more time and experience with dealing with possible problems than most). I would take a look at AllianceRom if you want to customize a lot on stock based http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2571255 or Omega http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2470441
As always, you should read through some of the stuff other active users are saying about it to make sure it fits your needs, but those development teams support a lot of Samsung devices and usually provide solid updates.

Thanks es0tericcha0s - I downloaded the TWRP tar and flashed to PDA - all worked first time... I will give it a go and see how I get on, when I get more time I will do a clean flash too!
Good deal. Lemme know if you need anything else.
