i am running miui cm7 and i still have touch screen lag.. is there any gingerbread roms for the optimus t that will get rid of that?
It will never be 100% gone, but use Franco or Fserve's kernel which will minimize it.
i am using francos but phone is still laggy

Where are you seeing lag? I only experience lag when I play high end games and I use the same setup.

Check the development forum.
i currently use mik's CM7 rom, with franco's tweaks. Has excellent performance for me, battery lasts 24 hours with hardly any use (just SMS messaging and about 30 minutes of angry birds) and around 10 hours with heavy use (calls, SMS messaging, 3g in constant use for instant messaging, music playing)
The two others that I hear are very good are devoid.franco and openOptimus, both running froyo. I haven't had much experience with them, I always reflash within an hour because I like cyanogen so much. Both seem to have significant performance gains over stock.
If you use apps2sd make sure you buy a high class microSD, it really does make a difference when loading data.
Also pretty much every P500 can be overclocked at 730mhz with no issues.
thnx guys tried cm7 didn lyk it sorry , switching to open optimus , hopefully its good
Sometimes when I'm playing angry birds I get a lot of lags, the game becomes slow... Is there any way to solve this? That doesn't be removing the background cause I don't like it without it. I'm using 2.3.4 vivo. Thanks

the same for me. my solution is to turn off wi-fi since the ads are the ones causing the lag.

Yeah, same here. Havent played it since i got FirstUA though, so i dont know if it still does that.
Just thought id put my 2 cents in and say I've flashed every Rom on my p500 and gingercrust V1.3 has to be one of my favourite roms to date.Added the patch with no problems. It's basic fast and has everything you need. I've flashed the latest goldleaf and the battery is real good, well I'm happy.
Thanks for an awesome Rom and look forward for further updates keep up the good work team.
I've heard good things about it, but I have yet to use it...I'm not to sure if s2e would work with it, than again it does have cm7 framework

1st:thank you for opening this thread.
2nd:this is the second day with this rom and so far so good. But I have 2 problems : I can't find out how to change the ringtone and i can't update su binary.
Other than that,it's good.
Glad you like it.
The su binary, you can update it by update superuser on the market. The ringtone can be changed as usual, there is not any prblem with it.
It's also one of my favourite Rom. Faster than any other Rom.

Try it you will not regret it. I did replace the ring tones with dex ICS tones using root exploring I like that radiation tone sounds kool. Should I run a app killer with it? I do find after a days use it dose start to slow a little so I just do a fresh boot and she's good for aother day, but saying I find this with a lot of roms I've flashed.
This rom best smooth, saving the battery good in the rom that I ever used
you are a fan of this rom^^
SR...MY ENGLISH SO BAD
ok, satisfied with his performance of it, I was a fan of it

Who can I turn off the key light guide liked - in other rom?
Any major advantage over Mik_os..???
&
i have a question..
if i flash another ROM, other than a full Titanium Backup, can i backup all my userdata and apps using clockwork mod??
if yes then how?
I have the Multiollaboration CM9 ROM and really like it, but i couldn't get past a certain bug. The browser was unreliable at best, it would force close almost every time i used it. When i switch it to landscape it would freeze on me, and dont i could forget about zooming. I am wondering if anyone can confirm having the same/similar issues as me, or is there a browser i can use that will work fine?
All browsers are like that as of right now, as for me. Stock browser works well but opera isn't working for me. Landscape is a known issue in browser apps though. You could wipe and reinstall if worst comes to worst

Or install 2d fixerv2.zip on jokersax thread if you haven't done so

I am running jokers latest with 2d fix on faux 1.45 kernel. browser does crash when switching to landscape. but that is it. hardly never when not switching. maybe wiping and clean install is needed.
XScope is working fine for me on Jokersax CM9 with Faux 1.0GHz 025 kernel. No problems with freezing or FC in landscape.

I have not. I will try that right now.
Hello!
I updated a ROM and my phone started lagging for no reason. I did a mega wipe and fresh installed the ROM and there is still lag. I even mega wiped and tried another ROM but I'm still getting lag. It usually happens when you open up apps or go into the settings. I'm not too sure what is happening. On stock kernel the lag is even worse and I haven't touched anything. It's a clean install. What could be the problem? Does anyone know? I can't see anything running in the background that might be causing it and I definitely installed the ROM in the right way.
R: Strange Lag After ROM Update
Woah...weird... it might be the kernel, try a good one(siyah) but most likely it is the rom's fault...
Which rom are you using?
Remember the s3 does lag once in a while(often for some) if you do not tweak it and take care of it...though custom roms usually fix 50% of this problem because they remove bloatware and unnecessary processes running in the background.
also the touchwiz launcher is a heavy one...might try a different one...

I was using Anono Rom v24 and I had to switch to another kernel to get it it to run smooth but the lag is there when you open apps. The same goes for Android Revolution. I've tried using Perseus and Boeffla but still laggy as hell.

R: Strange Lag After ROM Update
Siyah kernel is good man, use that. As for lag reduction i suggest rootbox(light rom) or jellybam(good rom) or foxhound(good as well but heavy).
Then check on the cpu with cpu master app and try to play with tweaks until u get smooth android experience (thats what i did....dont forget to do nanadroid backups every once in a while...)

Thanks. I'll try your suggestions.
