hi,
in my case , 10.1 , with stock rom 3.1...tw ..etc
,if you look at bottom bar you will notice an usb icon ?
if i tap on either icon ,the "usb device connected "message appears ,tap it and after second or 3 ,a notice says" usb device safely remove "!
(if you don't do it this way and take usb off , i noticed it says" USB device removed unexpectedly"
or/
either, i tap bottom right hand corner and notification menu appears and then tap on "usb device connected" notice etc .
nb ..your "Notifications " has to be enabled ( next to wifi, notifications gps etc..)
is this the same in your case ?

I sent my phone in for repairs since it wouldnt boot anymore (the product of a botched KDZ update by me). LG managed to fix it and its been working fine until I got home and found that USB debugging and USB mounting has disappeared... o_0 I couldnt find the little android icons on the notification bar when I connect it to any computer. The LG PC suite couldnt find the phone. and even though I have USB debugging or Mass Storage only set to on, I cant find the icons or the options that normally were there at the notification bar...
On a sidenote: The error "The application LGMITS Service (process com.lge.lgmits) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." pops up once in a while... I dont even know what application that is... I havent opened anything like that. o_0
Is this LG's way of telling me that I shouldnt mess with my phone anymore? I was planning to install the JIT enabler and custom recovery at least and then install apps to my sd.
Or is something still wrong with my phone? I'm going to call them up tomorrow to ask about this but I would like to ask the community's opnion too...

I haven't english on my phone so, maybe I give you not exactly valid information and may be this menu disappeared as well.
So go to home desktop, press menu button, go to application --> developemnt --> USB Debbuging. Is there this menu?
The LGMITS force close was a bug in firmware version 10a for some Optimus One users. Upgrade to 10c removed the problem.
Correct me if I am wrong...
You seem to mean the PC cannot detect your phone.
So you dont see the debugging or usb connected icon on your phone notifications.
But you activated them in Settings. So the options are there but it just doesn't work?
Was at least an unknown usb device detected by the PC?
Firstly, though unlikely might want to check if its the usb cable itself the problem.
Connect the cable from PC to another phone...see if it detects a connection
or try a spare cable if you have one with your Optimus One and PC
If cable is not the problem,
and there is totally no detection of usb connection on PC and phone, you might want to check with LG...
USB Debugging is set to on... That part I know how to do but I remember when I set USB debugging and Mass Storage on, there will be 2 icons on the notification bar when you plug them in to a computer (regardless if PC or mac). An Android icon which looks like it has spider limbs and I forgot what the other one was... And in order to set them on or off, you just had to drag the notification bar down and click Mass Storage. That brings you to a screen where the Android mascot has a USB cable for an arm... I dont see these icons anymore.
The PC saw a USB device when I plugged it in... And it even said something about an LG device. But I still cant access the SD card from my PC or Mac without Mass Storage on... I dont have another phone that can use the data cable but the phone charges with it on the PC/Mac/ wall charger.
also: I looked into the internal menu and it says I have SW Version Info: LG-P500-V10b. Not 10a... and how do I upgrade this if my phone is inaccessible? =c Even the PC suite says that the device isnt responding...
You can delete LGMITS.APK and dex in System/App
for detect phone try turn off mass storage while cable is unplug then connect it to PC again
10A = NEU zone
10B = asian zone
10C i found both NEU and SEA
all rom use same kernel version only interface/language is differ
have you solved this sir??
i have the same problem
I loaded Vegan-tab 5.1.1 and everything is working great, except that i can't see my tablet as an external device anymore while connected by usb to my computer. I do see the sdcard & sdcard2 files from the ifilemanager.
Is there a way to fix this?
I noticed something similar and it turned out to be me. I was expecting the "USB connected" message when I plugged it in. However, when I looked at the top bar, there it said "USB". I pulled down the bar, clicked on USB CONNECTED and I was back in business.
Possible for you as well? Something to check...
Me too
I'm having a similar problem with Vegan 5.1. The tab is connecting and I'll go to select "Turn on File Sharing" or whatever the option is and everything will appear hunkydory. However, if I attempt to transfer a file it will hang up for a while (on the PC side) and then eventually the connection will be broken. If I look, there is a file of the right size on the internal sd, but I'm not willing to fool around with them in case they're corrupted.
Somebody please help! I've had a good search and can't find any recent posts on this topic.
My trouble shooting advice :
A) 5.1.1 has a pull down menu that you have to "active USB"
B) I installed android USB drivers on my PC just in-case so i wouldn't have connection issues.
C)May need a "powered" USB port like Portable HDD .. example: (MAC keyboard USB port isn't powered).
Vegan by default after install leaves system in USB debugging mode. Go into setup/ applications/development and turn it off.
Sent from my VEGAn-TAB-v1.0.0b5.1.1 using Tapatalk
Thanks. That solved it.

This was great info. Thanks
Whenever I plugin SII via USB on windows xp , it shows hardware not found.
Are there any specific drives required for Window?
There are USB drivers that you can install via Kies : install kies, then in the "Tools" menu click on "install drivers".
I installed them right away because I knew I'd use adb with my phone, so I don't know if you have to install them in order to use your phone as a UMS device (I hope not, it would be a pain when you go to a friend's)
edit : Just tested on another PC, you shouldn't need any drivers, but once it's plugged in, make sure you pull the notification bar and you should have a notification telling you that USB is connected, from here you can activate UMS.
Hi
I have found a seperate set of drivers for windows, if you look / search for samfirmware.com (you may need to create an account if you do not have one already)
Then look for 'toolbox' listed at the top of the scrrn then select 'firmware' on the drop down list then 'FW Android'.
Scroll drown the screen until you see Samsung Galaxy S 2 and click on the blue link next to it.
Now scroll down the new page a bit further and with luck you should see
"step 2 - samsung flash programs" then click on that, this will then take you to the flash programs screen.
We are nearly there , at the top click on " B series - Android" now scroll down and you will see " download driver" and also " download ODIN"
Now all you have to do is scroll down to the I9100 line and the drivers will be the Samsung USB ones and I can confirm they do work.
I hope this helps.
I have an ASUS MemoPad ME172V that I have rooted successfully.
Afterwards I had and issue with Windows 7 recognizing the tablet when plugged in and allowing access to the microSD/onboard memory.
So I installed the USB drivers for it - downloaded from ASUS.
The device was showing up on my Devices/Printer window as "Unknown" - but had an icon with ME172V under it.
So now what? I need access to the device and the microSD card!
Well, I solved the issue and I wanted to share since I did not find a thread on it.
You need to set the tablet a Media Device to allow file transfer.
To do this - do the following:
- Go to Settings, then Storage.
- In the upper right corner - click the "three square" icon
- This opens "USB Computer Connection" - click it
- Now the window should say - Connect As - select Media Device(MTP)
Hope this helps!

Well what you're asking for is hell of difficult. Even if those were "hidden", it would cause trouble because they will still require an action.
An add-on won't be enough, you're asking to rework the whole Android system just to remove that feature and all the dependencies that goes with it. I don't think it will happen. Unless some dev as angry as you with that feature created and maintain up to now a ROM where that feature is gone, you won't find any dev to do that.
And even if it's annoying, it's a security feature. USB sticks if mounted right away can sometimes inject malicious code. This prevent the USB device connect to your phone from getting access to your phone without your permission.
Plus that's a historical feature of Android, that notification existed as far as I can remember (Android Eclair 2.0).
In short, if a miraculous add-on don't exists yet, I don't think it will exists someday.
Have a good day tho

Hello
Hide message and icon and notification, when connected USB to computer - yes xpode module
Why not xposed module, when USB OTG connected to telephone?
May be you do not make xposed module, and not this module do not make?
