Does anyone else find that with the motorola usb drivers installed, when listening to music with WMP, if you connect or disconnect devices via usb, wmp pauses briefly?
I have tried fresh installs and the motorola drivers seem to be the only thing i can find causing it. Thanks

So I've been having an issue with Motocast with my Mac. I installed Motocast on my Mac, using both the installer from the phone and the one found online (after the one from the phone didnt work). When I plug in my phone and go to the gallery and try to sync it with my computer it says It isn't installed on my computer. Am I missing a step? Anyone else having these issues?
So I battled with the MTP drivers forever and gave up...at least Windows 7 was able to communicate/see the device. Then I installed winamp...
Now Not only does Winamp not find the HOX+ under devices, but windows doesn't see anything on the phone. It shows up as a driver under My Computer..but no communication with it is possible. I simply get a message saying the device is not present or has stopped working....
Anyone else have trouble?
i was having the same issue. what i found was that i had both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports on my laptop, (windows 7 x64) which i wasnt aware of. switched over to USB 2.0 ports and it mounted as a cd drive, prompted to install software and installed all drivers. kinda crazy, but thats what i did.
hi. the problem im having is that i cant connect my phone to transfer files such as music and photos. i can use apps like airdroid and kies but want to discover the problem and have an easier way off organizing my files from computer to phone.
i recently flashed cm-9-20121209-NIGHTLY-galaxys2.zip then installed gapps-ics-201204929-signed.zip from internal storage.
thats the only two things i have done.
a window used to pop up when i plugged in the usb and it would also appear on 'MyComputer' folder. but neither happen now. I still get the connected sound when i connect the phone. I have tried different usb slots on my computer and have tried turning my phone off and on and rebooting it.
do i need a special driver for the cyanogenmod rom? thats the only thing i can think of!
anyone have any suggestions?

As you can see in the title I have a problem with my samsung galaxy s2. Until 2 days ago, everything was working fine. My phone was connected to pc via USB cable. As I was working as it was poping up with the autoplay.
My brother did walk on the room and "took it in his legs"(if you know what i mean).
Problem:
Now the phone is only charging at PC via usb. I am not able to do it to connect via usb storage or any other way. I did buy an usb cable but in vain.
What i have tried:
-buy a new usb cable
-reinstall usb drivers from xda/samsung/google/kies/
-clean the usb
-clean the usb from phone
-#7248... method
-tryied to connect on virtual machine with windows 7(hoping for autoinstall autoplay)
-update windows media player
-debug onn, debugg off
I am using Win XP sp3. Also after unistall and reinstall the drivers i get the message with usb not reconized and windows asks me to search the drivers for Multimedia controller and multimedia video controller.
Note:
Multimedia controller and multimedia video controller are asked by Windows only after I connect phone to pc when reinstalling usb drivers.

Replace USB board/port (but you need to get the correct part - search for similar threads to get the info you need; this has been discussed here a lot this year).
What version of Android are you running?
If it's 4.22 or 4.3 then go to Settings/Storage. click 'menu' and change USB settings on the phone from MTP to USB/Camera/PTP
Then it should show up as an external usb device.
XP is bad at recognising MTP (media device) so just set it to register as a Camera or usb storage in settings.
I am not using android 4.22 or 4.3. I am using android 4.1.2 and i do not have that option.
Until i will get another comments i will order a new USB board.

I recently got a moto z droid force from bestbuy for the $240 deal and I can't seem to transfer files from my 2013 rMBP to my moto z. I am using Android File Transfer (AFT) as its needed when using a Mac. I want to transfer my music over but I keep getting an error that says
"Can't Access Device Storage. If your device's screen is locked, disconnect its USB cable, unlock your screen, and then reconnect the USB cable."
The device was already unlocked and I tried reconnecting the cable many times. ATP opens up but as soon as I try to transfer anything from my mac to the motoz i get the same error message. I had a moto x before and would run into this problem often which was very annoying but I was hoping it would be solved for the moto z. I have tried enabling and disabling usb debugging, set default usb configuration to MTP, and fully UNinstalling AFT and its directories and REinstalling it to no avail. I've this up on google and nothing has worked so far. As a last resort I may be able to transfer my music to a windows pc temporarily but I would rather not rely on that as then every time I download new music I would have to transfer the data to a windows pc.
