Yes, depending on how the movie was encoded there are certain types you will not be able to play without la/dropped frames on the GT.
Out of all players I tried, diceplayer seems to be the best.

Having said thst, I find even Dice Player struggles with 1080p, but 720p is very smooth. Unless you are using HDMI out, you are not going to notice the difference on the Gakaxy Tab 10.1's screen.

Doesn't seem to have decent hardware acceleration like the international version but i can't find any player that play video without losing frames. I play a lot if.video and i have the international note which handles video far better so i thought perhaps i.can.find a better player. Anyone?

Dice player did hw accelerated 1080p for me.
I also tested it w/ the HDMI out on the MHL, and it was fine.

See now that's weird to me. I have dropped frames on MX on hardware mode and software mode works but the quality is definitely not as good.

Based on what I read above I eagerly downloaded MX Player. It was in no way as smooth as Zimly media player.
I picked up Zimly initially just to play music, I don't like bothering with playlists, I just wanted something to shuffle tracks.
Since I don't want to start another thread. I'll just ask it here ..
Is there a video player that can play mkv files WITH subtitles? Like Anime videos?
Thanks in advanced.

att galaxy note. so far i found bubble media server to be top. i purchased it for 5bux in market.
using it with a netgear ready nas ...so far video streaming has been incredible.
there are a few tweaks needed prior before anything will play.
just make sure u check unlimited bandwidth and all should go smooth.
I am trying to use my Touchpad with CM9 installed to watch movies with Flixster. But when I load the app and try to stream my movies it tells me that it has detected that I have rooted (Dah) and can't stream movies.
How can I fix this to allow me to use this app?
Side question to. Apps in the Market say they will not work with my device even though they will. How do I get the Android Market to allow me to still stall apps that say this?
Thanks
you mean with the google videos app? i dont think flixster plays movies. they do previews.
Try OTARootkeeper. Why the h*** does almost every android video app think that if you root you are trying to pirate content.

Flixster allows you to stream and/or download movies using Ultra Violet. I'm having the same problem and I'm running CM10.

Actually I just downloaded "Hide My Root" from the Play Store, hid SU Binary, & now Flixster is working for me. Success!

Hey there
I just want to ask, what music player do u guys use?
Right now I'm lil bit confused wether to chose playerPro, powerAmp, or just stock xperia s music player.
For me, quality of the player, the equalizer, and browsing the musics trough folder option are the most importants
I just want to know, maybe there's better music player than three above I've just said.
Just share ur experience here.
Thanks
Sorry for my poor English...

I use Google Music. My music is well organized however, that helps. Sony's stock EQ/ClearBass uses the AudioEffect APIs, so it works fine. I often suggest people should organize the music instead of browsing it by folder. Use a tool like beets.
Is it on the market? Beets?

I use PowerAmp.
And Equalizer (free on google play) to better Bass Booster and Virtualizer sound.

No, it's a PC app (OS X/Linux, not that simple for Windows, but possible). It takes your music, and organizes it automatically with a very flexible set of rules and auto-tagging (like TrackID) for unknown songs. It also tries to match your albums to confirmed data and shows if you have tracks missing or something.

OK, so it turns out installing beets is not that hard any more. http://readthedocs.org/docs/beets/en/1.0b14/guides/main.html
Update: Just imported another bunch of music. Here's how it all looked: http://rghost.ru/38476473.view

Every time i download it from PS, it always say that my phone memory is unsufficient..
But if i download other apps, even larger size, everything's okay..

I'll recommend you to use PlayerPro. It has many advantages when you compare to others. It's smooth and cool. I have bought it 1 month ago and until now had no problems. Beside it is not expensive..

I'm using DowbleTwist Player, good combine, but little beat pricy
iam using N7 Player(full version) .Is very good player with lot of features
I think the stock player is as good as it needs to be.
The Sony stock player is not that bad at all. As of now I am testing NRG Player which looks very promizing. Very nice and cool UI.
Besides this, you could have a look at Mortplayer. It's a nice player with lots of features. I am using the variant Mortplayer Audio books, best of its kind if it comes to audio books.
The only problem is the stock player can't browse trough folders..

The only 2 I would suggest are Winamp and the stock music player. I was previously using Winamp and even though I had no problems with it, I decided to go hack to stock because it looks great and does the job for me

Does anyone have the problem, if connected via bluetooth to a car hands free and play music through the car stereo via the fone, the music keeps cutting out all the time?
Oh and MIUI player is what I used to use on my X10
if u want serious listening (lossless, decent speaker/headphones/earphones). try neutron music player
else: poweramp, winamp, or even stock.
btw, i use neutron and poweramp

Yes it does. If you look in your app drawer it even has an app for it. Click on the app and it'll play a video showing you exactly how it works.

There are numerous threads that exist already on this topic... MX Player devs are currently working on an update for the N10 but as of now, BS Player is your best bet.
Oh sorry i did not see that when i made the thread .But thanks for the heads up..

Just wondering, bsplayer is better than vlc? Never used bsplayer.
MX Player not really hardware accelerate (certain MKV file got sound issue and can only software render) for Nexus 10 at the moment. I am using BS Player now, it work nicely at Nexus 10.

I still get the 'DTS unsupported Audio Codec' error when I play HD mkv files on MX Player.
The videos plays just fine, but I don't get any audio.
BSPlayer on the other hand works perfectly. I would use that.

You can add the codec to mx player.
Either way, bs player or mx player. competition is good.

BSPlayer works fest for me, MX Player is a bit slower and has problems with some files.
This is in newest update already. I like MX's Interface Bettler though
Even with the update MX player still slightly stutters with mkv files I have tried 720p and 1080p
For me MX better (smoother) plays mkv 720p on software decoding.

Just know that SW decoding will drain your battery much faster than HW.
