anyone know how to restore the homescreen via titanium bckup?
My phone was updated to gingerbread, and have been able to get contacts, and messages back with titanium backup thourgh contacts and sms in titanium backup. but which one is the homescreen?
there doesn't seem to be a backup for homescreen anyone know?
Look for something that say "launcher"

Before I updated my X10i to 2.1 I used Backup & Restore from SE to backup everything. And when I now want to restore it all, the only thing that is restoring is my pictures and SMS messenges!
Where the **** is my phone contacts and apps that the Backup & Restore app should backup?!
I'm very pissed of that my contacts and apps is not here when I restored them.
May they be on the "phonecard"? And where should I look? I'm talking about when you plug the phone into computer and u get phonecard from the phone.
What kind of **** is this SE app?

Titanium backup or mybackup (must have root for both)
try both and see what you like, if you want to backup your rom and kernel too, use nandroid
to save apps there is AppSaver, u find it in the market
for contacts i use google contacts in gmail, for sms "SMS Backup & Restore"
and for calls "Call logs Backup & Restore"
i want to restore my sms from gmail with one by one option is there any way to do it pls......i know there is backup to gmail application but it restores the whole messages....i want to restore just a couple of them....is there a solution.....??? thank you in advance....

If possible what app can I use to backup my homescreen settings (I've spent a lot of time on one recently)? I have Titanium Backup, but will that do the trick for this? Should I look at a different backup utility such as SGS?

Your homescreen is the Launcher2.apk app. Backing it up via Titanium Backup will backup the current layout and how you have everything set up.
HOWEVER, due to an Android limitation, it will not backup any widget placement/settings you have. There is no way around that unfortunately.
Your best bet is to make a nandroid backup via CWM and then restore that if need be. Of course that would be a complete restoration of everything but it's the only way to back it all up.
Don't know of any way to do this. I know with Launcher Pro you can backup screens and settings, but widgets are never saved.
After installing a new rom to my Nexus 5x Titanium backup become my default SMS app and i did not realize it. Iwas expecting an important SMS then i realized that TB got it but nothing was shown. Is there a way to recover it?
