Hi there
I am having a choppy video playback in HQ mode on some clips, (using very good WiFi) and the video quality and resolution, seems to be not very HQ. I compared the HTC Sensation and iPhone4 with the same clip, and both of them were superfine in video quality(very noticeable), and flawless playback! The problem with choppiness is present only in 2.3.4 firmwares(everyone i've tried) not in the 2.3.3! Tried every Youtube version and flash player too, with no luck! Is it just me with this problem, and some solution ?!

I just got my Vibrant, and i love the video quality, but I'm a pitcher so i'd like to slow down the video to see more in depth, is there a video player that can do this? thanks
Maybe its just me, but I've been having some odd issues with video playback on my new Tablet S.
Basically, anything that the Tablet natively supports works just fine. But anything that requires using a Software Decoder (like MX Video Player, or QQPlayer etc) goes weird. The audio and the video will become unsynced as the video playback framerate is much lower than the original file while the sound plays at the normal speed, sending it far ahead of the displayed video.
Does anyone have any suggestions on better ways to play non-supported video files?
Dice player has worked for me without any problems. I've heard of problems with sync on MX but who knows, give Dice a try and see if it helps...
MOBOPLAYER.

I'm using BS Player lite, had no problems with avi or mkv.
I've always experienced stuttering HD video playback on all my devices. I've used dice player and Mx player. The hardware and software acceleration used with my gnex, never could I get HD video to play stutter free. Hoping for some better results with the GS3.

I've have watched a few 720p videos in the stock video player stutter-free. I even tried the pip feature, and the phone wasn't lagging when changing homescreens while the video was playing in a floating window on top. I have also streamed some hd movies in the plex app without any stuttering.
Playing 720p stutter free works on my 2 year old vibrant too. I guess you should check 1080p high profile videos with high bitrate video and audio. Also i wonder how sg3 handles multi channel audio formats like AAC, AC3, DTS etc
Sadly Snapdragon GS3 , doesn't handle HD videos to well , worse then my GS2 , specifically 60fps HD videos , it skips and stutters horribly ,my old International GS2 plays them smoothly. Kinda bumped about it , im guessing Samsung SOC has beefier hardware decoder.
But, if all your 720,1080p videos are only 23~30 fps you will be fine.
When I get it I'll mess around with encoding some videos to play well with it. If anyone finds a sweet spot with encoding videos with handbrake post some details please. Thanks.

Hi,
I am running my SII on 4.0.1 and I am very frustrated with its performance on video recording and playback (the problem existed on the 2.3 OS version too).
Bascally if I try to watch a clip on YouTube (does not matter if I am on wifi on 3G) the movie will start showing nicely but very quickly the sound will continue to run smoothly but the image will freeze and then will jump back to sync with the audio and then freeze again etc. - so you can't see a nice smooth playback. It does not matter if the video is fuly downloaded.
If I record a movie using the camera - I will get a choppy video with freezes. This is really frustrating and I wonder if other have experience the same problem and more importantly if there is a solution for this annoyng problem.
Thanks in advance,
Itay
