The only problem with this is that the Evo 3D is a Wimax phone, if they officially support it i still don't see them putting in the Wimax 4g bits so technically it still wouldn't be a "full" release.
As Wimax users we unfortunately are the great minority, and wouldn't make sense for them to support us officially

I'm not sure who posted that poll, I haven't seen it because I got rid of my Facebook a while ago.
But I was under the impression that the official developers are strictly Chinese and speak no English. The majority of the miui developers that communicate with them do so in Chinese through whatever channels or dev boards.
Also, Facebook is completely blocked in China, along with G+, Twitter and pretty much all other social networks accept the one their government uses, So I think its safe to say as it may be someone close "or thinks they are close" to the developers it is not the developers themselves running the pole.

Agree is should go in general. Cyanogen said that it wouldn't be until maybe January for an alpha of CM9.
As for asking for your specific phone, give it time... it hasn't even been a month since ICS source was released.

In the meantime, CM7.1 would be nice - but will they just skip over 7.1 for new devices and focus on 9?
Just as a heads up, Max Krivonos posted that he stopped working on CM7 for the amaze and is going straight to CM9,
Double edged sword. Great for CM9 but no CM at all for a few months.

I've thought alot about selling this phone due to the lack of having a huge community support (face it, it's no Sensation, Desire Z/HD, Evo, etc)... The hardware is good, the replacement? Obviously a Galaxy Nexus, if there is a solid CM9 port for this device, I would probably just save myself the trouble and keep using this, This has everything that the international GNex would have, except for the huge high res amoled screen. Please Koush/Max!!!! (I would think quite a bit could be borrowed from the Pyramid builds, with the obvious exception of the NFC/camera)
Uh... How long has the phone been out?? Let's face that first before complaining about the lack of development... It'd be nice if there was but its not going to happen over night...

Be patient my friend! I think the reason behind (kinda) lacking developtment for this phone is because there will be an ICS came out soon for it in early 2012 and most Devs are waiting for the official Amaze ICS release rather than wasting their time to built rom that would only last for less than two months
On that perspective I am really thankful for Xboarder for his effort to brought us something to satisfied our addictiveness of flashing meanwhile
I am more thankful to Max Krivonos, and Keyan Mobli (Scepterr/kmobs), Max is probably gonna be the maintainer for the Amaze for CM9 and is currently the maintainer for the MT4GS, kmobs is the maintainer of the Sensation for CM9 and has it to a point where he's said "So I'm now using ICS as my daily driver"... There is hope, but if you're looking for CM7/9 or any REAL AOSP build, don't expect xboarder to deliver that, I don't think he compiles anything, he's a themer/kanger/(insert less offensive term here). There is hope, but I'm dying to see some actual AOSP builds, GB or ICS.

Well, I'm by no mean a tech guy or whatsoever in that manner. All I can do is follows instruction to flashing Rom and stuff so when it come to judging who done what I have no idea eventhough I'm very much understanding what kang is ...
Perhaps when Max and whoever on CyanogenMod team came over and gave us some ICS or CM9 goodness, 'til then, the very few peoples who get this Amaze forum go on as it is and gave us something to played with is Xboarder56, Mike1986 and NRGZ28 .... and for that I am appreciates their times and effort putting into it
Heck, I even thanksful those themer like Alexia Whitehurst, killathenoob, TheSneakerWhore for uploading their theme file even though I myself know how to extract files from rom and uploading onto UOT kitchen
Those guy are ways better than those who did nothing .

Just trying to keep options out there during our "slow" (see:new) period. Development takes time--Hell, I'm stuck on a macbook until I can save up for a notebook. Once I get that, I'll be able to do real theming/modding. UOT framework feels like a cop-out right now, but it is all that is being offered and we need the activity to draw more people. I have a to-do list of mods I want to do, but until I get my hardware back, it isn't happening.
Ultimately, it is patience. This phone is very new--ICS is around the corner.

I also am thankful to everyone helping out during our slow period. Although I can't wait for some true aosp action. I absolutely hate sense. It's pretty, but I just prefer aosp

its not easy building a device tree but i did build one i still got to find all the libs to get it to compile right but thats the device tree it will compile cm7 just doenst boot all the way right now but it does compile working recoverys
There is no spectrum thread, so figured i'd ask this in the Q & A. How much would it cost to pay one of the known developers on this site to port a rom over to the LG Spectrum. I know others have ported the MIUI over to other phones as there was someone that did it for the EVO 3d on this forum. Any Devs up to the challenge and what would it cost via paypal? Can PM me as well if not wanting to discuss here. This phone just isn't given enough props for how good it is, in my opinion.

I will help fund as well! I love and Miui and would love to see a ported rom possibly my Mt or neph in coordination with the Miui team!
I'm working on porting MIUI to the Spectrum as we speak. My time is limited though, so I'm not sure when it will be ready... Hopefully sometime soon.

anything else come from this? ive found a chinese dev that does miui for the spectrum. but its setup to run on china telecom. weblexa if you could get this build and atleast tidy it up some it would make my life alot easier... ive been screwing with it for a couple weeks.. got it to stable... just cant get a flashable version that works like it should

We need an official maintainer. We absolutely have people working on bringing JB/ICS to our devices, we just don't have anyone who has officially taken on the job yet (though I doubt that will stay the case for long). Several notable members are still working quite hard on it.
Unfortunately, because our phone is specific to Sprint, even though it is for all intensive purposes a One-X, we have a smaller audience for this device than the official One-X. That paired with the fact global/GSM phones tend to get a lot more developer support than CDMA ones explains why the One-X has a much wider variety of development for it.
In short, give it time. It will be worth the wait.
I know Kushdeck & Toastcfh are working on CM10 now.

Hi! first of all i really appreciate the work you did with the 3D working on sense 4.1, then i just wanted to share my point of view.
it's not a copyright problem in my opinion, simpy some people works hard on something, and for respect if anyone wants to use their work should ask for permissions before using it, and then adds credits. Team Venom did a great job, a whole customizable sense with their own hub and good performance, so it's normal that many many people look at their work!
you didn't even credited team venom nor mwakious nor whoever you picked files from! that's a lack of respect here! you could have started a "clean" rom from ruu, and just fix it to show here that you (or idogx, i'm not sure who is the creator of the 3d fix) could do a perfect sense 4.1 rom! or you can create a guide, showing how to get 3d working! if you do/did this, anyone that would use your fix would give credits to you and recognize you/idogx/whoever as the "guys that got 3D fully working on sense 4.1"!
maybe that's different from the way you are used to do in other forums, but this is how we work here: respecting also other people's hard work, i hope you'll understand

respect? hell no. its all about licensing. or do you remember all the respect chad goodman got for his work? at least i don't. the problem is, android is distributed under the Apache License and the kernels under the GNU GPL. if google had decided to take the GPL for android and not apache, we wouldn't have any problems with devs not want to sharing their work, because they would get a ****storm and a report to the violations board.
the best would be just to release the fix, so every dev could use it and we don't get any copyright discussions. if you say "Android is open source" then this fix should be too.

I just read somewhere that team Venom is busy and an update to Viper3d will be done in the future. Now, the person that made the fix could apply to work with Team Venom as it is open now to moderators or whatnot. And he will get the pass to implement the fix and take the credit for it. And we could make an exception to the rules when it comes to Evo3D with full 3d and sense 4.1 maybe this guy can do it for sense 5.0 in the future don't hold him back pls we need 3D

Would be nice if they allow it.....but sense 5 and 3d cannot be possible AFAIK. Since we had 3d working on sense 3.6 which is ICS, it was possible on sense 4 but we dont have any official jellybean with 3D so getting 3D working on sense 5 isnt possible for us and we dont even have Sense 5.........
OK, sense4.1 3D camera is moded by idogx? Does idogx grant you permission to post here?
Lemme just say this: Just because Android is open source when it comes Google, doesn't mean it has to be once a dev gets their hands on it, whether it be HTC, Samsung, LG, even a developer here, just some food for thought.

Androids linux kernal is open source. Big big difference. This argument in invalid. If it were as you say, the we would see mandatory releases of touchwiz and sense source codes. Htc and samsung can keep those proprietary. If a developer TRULY felt the need they too could make any original code or branches proprietary. So if your going to kang original work from somebody give them the courtesy of asking.

These 2 roms by team nocturnal (correct me if i'm wrong) are simply amazing. When our phone finally receives android 4.3 with possible sense 5.5, will these roms get updated to 4.3 as well? I will have this phone for over a year to come as I am just a poor teenager who stumbled upon rooting and the android developement world with an LG Optimus S, and upgraded to the Evo 4G LTE in may of 2013.
Will major developers like NIN and sinistertensei still be developing for our phone?

Well we all know amazing roms don't always come from xda. Why don't you ask them personal via Private message. We don't even have sense 5 from HTC and most people doubt we'll see it from them. (As a OTA)

HTC has broken their promise's before, but with the update planned to go into sprint testing in mid january, It's very likely we will see it.
You do make a good point however, I just typed this on the go earlier.

As previously stated by another member, there's really no point in discussing matters like this, when the ROM's are not hosted on XDA.
It's better to post your questions on the Developers own websites. Just Google them. They're pretty easy to find.
