Is there any way to enable Widescreen (16:9) camera resolutions on the Ace. I would like to take 1280 x 720 shots, as I would prefer not to do post-processing. Thanks.

Hi everybody,
Does anyone knows if there exists some apps to make movie in HD quality (720p) like for the desire????
Thank you...
That is not possible on Wildfire.
The camera isn't good enough.
Maybe is not good, but for example Nokia N5230 make a good video (640x480) with the 2MPx and Wildfire make 352x288 with the 5MPx.....Why?
When HTC updates to Froyo, camera will work at 720p

Oh really... Got any sources?
There are no sources its just a rumor.

I highly doubt it will get 720p recording anyway
Maybe VGA, but no way in hell 720p. The 528mhz processor can`t process that.

I don't think that a software can do what the hardware supose to do
Maybe the overclock might help jksss
You can record on qvga and qcif resolutions on cm6, I don't know what resolutions those are exactly

Polish support HTC confirmed this information.
An overclocked Desire with a processor twice the speed of the Wildfire struggles 720p only just getting up to 20 frames per sec.
HTC promised the earth for Froyo on the Desire as well.
If you want quality video then buy a dedicated quality video device, like a camera for instance!

It's just their sensor. The sensor on the XPS also seems to be capable of burst captures and stuff, but I didn't test it yet.

It's not a screenshot, it's a snapshot in the same resolution as the video is, up to 1080p. I don't think the One X does that differently.

@fata|i3y
your request similar to "can we make our screen bigger ?". our cam fps is very poor for video recording. that's hardware limitation. event if it's possible the result will be more like watching slide show than watching video.
LOL...a slow motion camera for a 2MP camera? How Many frames per sec will that be? stop dreaming man we cant do much for SGY

copy that to pc
install sony vegas pro
n make the video slowmotion
the strongest fastest of all. Galaxy s III, can it record 60fps ??
i just need to know: is there a way to get more than 30fps on an android phone (like an app or a tweak) ???
long time ago i remember i had omnia HD and i could record (Slow motion)
but now it must be as easy as it can be to do so by a powerful phone like this.
29fps in 1080p

Ok here is the question ,
recentlly nova thor U 8500 seem like quite popular for midrange phone as the phone below use it
s advance , ace 2 , sola , xperia U / p / go
However , the only device which are able to record 1080p video is xperia P .
I wonder what make P different from other device ?
The clock speed and chip is totally same on s advance / p / u / sola
Been searching through web but no people even mention it .
The camera sensor. Obvious huh.

I am sure. The problem is not in the CPU speed. It's not that your sensor can't record 1080p, it's that it's unreasonable. When your device gets CM9, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to have 1080 too.

Haha, no.
If I stick a 2MP camera on a 512MHz MSM7227 single core device, I won't even get 720p.
And megapixels don't matter all that much, its what's in the camera sensor that does.
well 720p means just the resolution with ration 16:9,right? 1280 * 720 = 0,92 MP, 1080p = 1440 * 1080 = 1,6MP. 5mp camera is enough for both of 720p and 1080p. But I think why just P because the RAM. P has 1GB of RAM. You know, recording 1080p need a lot of processing, maybe 512GB RAM phone able to do this but I guess has a lower bit rate and graphic quality.
Hey, Xperia s can record at 1080p as well...
