can the EN key be removed from the samsung swype keyboard? I would love this KB if the EN key was not taking up space!

Click to collapse
Easiest way: Choose another language for swype and deselect English. -> EN will be gone ;-)
Or long press the button left of the globe (SYM / ABC) ... will switch into number block mode -> Globe button disappears!
Ok, just kidding ... the globe is a fixed part of the swype keyboard and needs at least one language selected to show up.
If you select more languages in swype keyboard languages, you can switch from one language to another by clicking on the globe.
So, I do not have a real solution ... sorry!

how to change keyboard key besides the smiley key and the enter key back to english? thanks
Not sure what you mean because to enter smilies you need to go to menu Insert smiley.
To change the keyboard language long press in the writing area and choose the keyboard you want.
Hope this comes close to what you want.
Hi,
I am new to android and i am a multi language user.
I installed several multi language keyboards but none of them fully changed the keyboard layouts i am looking for.
They all gave me the options to type diffrent language in regular text boxes but none of them allowed me to change the language of the keyboard in which i see when i press the "phone" button, the keyboard that pops up for quickly searching and dailing from the dialer application. the 12 key keyboard (with "abc" "def" ... on each key).
How is it possibale to change this keyboard to a diffrent language layout ?
Thanks !
Hi.
When you use more of one language you can change keyboard language by a slide on the backspace button.
Do you know a library which give a button which can select something by a slide?
Thanks
Anyone know what the globe key next to the punctuation key is supposed to do on the on screen keyboard?
probably language change
I have never owned a samsung, but i presume people already using the S2 would be able to answer this.
on the HTC, you could add extra languages and change them with a designated button on the qwerty keyboard. I have seen photos of the SGS3 qwerty with a 'settings' button on the bottom right.
Does that mean that in order to change from a language to another you have to press more than one buttons while typing? Or is there an easy way to flick through languages?
thanks
