For some reason when I flashed MIUI the touch screen didn't work... I made sure I wiped data, cache, dalvik cache before I installed... is anyone else having this problem? Thanks in advance

Dear forum,
I got an question about full wipe and deleted dalvik cashe.
I am as an lot here playing with 2.2 Roms for the X10.
I read in some threads that there is an solution for the flashing screen after installing an 2.2. rom. It says do an full wipe in Xrecovery and an Dalvic cashe so the screen flashing is history.
When i do an full wipe (after of course do an back-up) does that result in complete disappearing of all my data and aps or can i with restore fixed that?

Full wipe flash ROM twice
Same issue as OP, proposed solution doesn't help
The flash twice method has never worked for me. But what will always work without fail is flashing 3.1, booting into it, reboot to recovery, wipe cache/dalv and flash the newest.
Sent from my CM7ed out Mopho!
I wonder you someone can help me with my little problem here. I'm having FC with S Planner, tried clearing the data, wiping cache and dalvik but still wont work.
Hi,
I would try to flash the rom again (after another full wipe).
Give a try.
Cheers
Just rooted my SGS3. Was wondering if I wiped the dalvik cache, would I face any problems?

At opposite, sometimes it can be resolutive (e.g. after flash a custom kernel, to try to solve an unknown problem), but at bootup you've to wait until DK is regenerated for all the applications and system components.
