i dont think u can install a2sd on stock gingerbread 2.3.4... all u can do is install custom gingerbread rom that support a2sd script by default or install stock froyo, then install a2sd script by urself.
you can install a2sd in you stock gingerbread rom. i am using stock gingerbread rom and i have apply cf root with DT a2sd script.

Kernel Number

HI all,
Have just tried flash my rom to 2.3.4 gingerbread rom (S5830DXKPB) from samfirmware. its working fine however my kernel version still show my old rooted kernel version 2.6.35.7-perf-CL5145579 [email protected] #1. Is this normal? how do i change the kernel num reflecting the 1 that its should be now?
don't use that lousy kernel, try ketut's cfroot kernel!
which 1 should i choose from this thread? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1158197

if ur using stock rom, the latest is b82-ex-fixed.zip. but u wont get bln support unless ur using stock rom DXKPB. if u want bln support on stock rom other than DXKPB, use cf-root b-80.

No, bln works for KPH KPN KPO too just needs a patched services.jar provided in the thread. Anyway he's using KPB so no worries.

Wow , that's weird .
Thats y but i believe the kernel is already flashed as i hv superuser, tweak, and cwm in my app drawer. Just that i got no idea y it does not reflect the changes.
Wonder is it because when i first flssh the stock gingerbread from samfirmwsre, i did not wipe data and factory reset.

MESA has autoroot so it should have been rooted. Next time, flash kernel, then flash rom straight after.
