Question concerning over-clocking - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Does anyone know if it's possible to push the CPU beyond 800mhz (without melting the device that is)?
If so, how?
Thanks =)

[Q] Flash for ARMv6 Devices

Recently I've been seeing people porting Flash 10.1 to the LG Optimus One P500 .
I was just curious if anyone ever thought of porting over to our lovely device .
Once again , this is out of curiosity , please don't murder/assasinate me .
+1 about this..hoping..
There is official info that qualcomm work on Flash support for our devices, so we need to wait If someone have any new news about that let's share whit us

Underclocking Ace

Is there a way to underclock the galaxy ace to save more battery on stand by? I'm using ics final and it has OC but I'm wondering if you can go lower than the 122Mhz limit.

I would recommend Juice Defender Ultimate.. it has its own clock control where whan you lock the screen you can set the max clockspeed to make sure it doesnt over work unnecesarily. I cant truly explain it to you.. You should try it yourself. Plus it has its own governor control.

I'm afraid, you're wrong. Ace's higher CPU clock speed doesn't meant it's better. N900 has Cortex-A8 CPU which is ARMv7 based processor (frequency range 600MHz-1GHz); we have ARMv6 based one. Also PowerVR SGX530 in N900 can achieve double framerate of Adreno 200.
btw. Isn't that wrong forum to ask that kind of question?

Linaro

Sorry if someone else already asked for it but i read about an android version «Linaro» which doubles the performance of the phone. Here is a link http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/0...e-and-now-parts-of-it-are-being-added-to-cm9/
Can our devs include that into our cm9 or is it not compatible with our ace. Thanks

how can some toolchain which compiles android platform be made specifically made to target specific architecture ?? as i read gerrit it just specifies it produces compilation using gcc4.7 instead of older ones which in some cases produce optimizations
yeaah
it seems like we must wait and see

Fair enough
Btw still wondering why rom compiled with optimized toolchain can give massive perfomance boost while kernel in the other had doesnt make any much different no matter which toolchain, which optimize flag used. Theres even a thread by ezekeel complete with benchmark result and whatsnot, explaining that optimize toolchain for kernel is just a myth :/

You can try removing some Samsung bloat from your rom you'll find it in /system/app
There are lists here on xda.
There is a bloat removal tool in original development sub-forum.
