I tried to install Mango andit failed. Now I need to go back to 6.5. Under settings about it shows total storage 52.84. available storage 17.26. Where did my memory go?I have MAGLDR V1.13 installed. I am totally at a loss. I hope someone can help me. I can't put 6.5 back via usb or sd card. I think the memory loss is my problem.
No, I take it you installed mango without an sd card?, and if you did, then the sd card probably wasn't detected.
Anyways, reboot and hold down the vol down key before htc logo comes up, and then install any wm 6.5 rom.

Hi,
I upgraded to the 4.01.00 build of 2003. I decided after a bit that I missed the stuff I could add in from the kitchen and also for some reason when I tried to install something to the SD card it would just create a cab file on the card... So I manually started the cab installer from the location and it automatically installed the software into main memory?
I went back to a new brew of yorch's kitchen using 4.00.16 with hopes that this would be resolved...
I dont seem to have any problems accessing the SD card.. the data is transfered over fine... although I set Activesync to use the sd card it only ever copies the cab file and then shows the program not installed.... if I go to the SD card I can see and run the cab file copied over by activesync... but it only copies it to memory
I thought cab files installed relative to your current location (i.e) you run an install from the SD.. it gets installed to the SD.. run it from the main memory and it gets installed to the main memory.. etc.
But I'm totally confused as to why activesync refuses to install anything onto the SD card itself.
Has anyone else recieved this problem? know how to fix it? any ideas?
currently it appears I can only use the SD card for music/files or whatever I want to store rather than install other programs...
cheers for any help,
Ian.
I would uninstall your current version of activesync and install version 3.7.1. If you have 3.7.1, I would do a reinstall. It sounds like the issue isn't your SD card or the ROM that is loaded.
upps, on my XDA I everything works fine ...
I mean installing software to SD card and running the software from SD card, others things are not that smooth .... but the above mentioned is ok
I do use WM2003, version 4.0.21 T-Mobile ROM
regards,
monika
Just thought I'd add how I fixed the problem...
I stopped using this
http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/fg/dockware.htm
everytime I hard reset my device the first thing I'd do was install 3 programs...
Iliumsoft Dockware Pro
Tillanosoft Small Menu Plus
Omega One Battery Pack 2004
On that build (4.01.00) of the ROM Dockware would pretend to install by activesync... but it wouldnt even copy over or anything...
After doing that, the rest of the software would follow straight into main memory whither I asked it to or not.... the exception to this case was a few programs like Resco explorer and a few games that did install to the card.
Everything else just copied the cab files over to the sd card.. and then when you installed the cab files from there, they went into main memory.
So.... I hard reset the device and didnt install DockWare at all.... every piece of software installs fine now without a hitch...
Strange huh?
MOTD: dont use Dockware on later builds of 2k3 heh
While upgrading to WM 6.5 something goes wrong.
My device did not loaded the new ROM but erased the old one.
If I power on it I see an O2 image.
If I go into bootloader mode (press the two - keys and reset) I see the HP bootloader for about 2-3 minutes (it does not load the new ROM from SD card) and then it display the O2 image.

I've tried but nothing happens.
I see only the O2 image and do not read anything from SD
Your card might be no good for flashing, i have 3 mem cards, one only works, the smallest one what is 256mb. My kingston 2 gb doesn't flash.
I used this miniSD to install ARIEY HP68XX ULTIMATE 2009 ROM without problem.
Then I tried an update to ARIEY WM6.5 ULTIMATE FINAL and I pressed the wrong buttons and I found myself in this situation.

android build..?
back up all your data from your sd card, then reformat your sd card and try again. I should work....
Yesterday i was helping my gf to install android on her hd2, i encountered exactly the same problem as you. Then reformat sd card, install android again. It works smoothly without any problem.
Hope it helps.
thx for advice...i try it...
I have the same Problem...
no matter what I do, it does not work
It always freeze or reboot new.
I have formatted my SD i think over 100 times
What i do wrong?
I have hspl2 and the newest Radio ROm, but it doesnt work
EDIT: I tried all Android builds noone works
Did you do a task29 to format internal memory, then install back energy rom. Only install android. Have you tried that?
@ whizzkid_cool
I dont understand, what is task29
And energy rom? is that a custom Rom?
Still Doesn't work....

Did you copy the complete Android directory (so not only the files) to the root of your SD card?
All you have to do is read
It could also be your SD card. I had exactly the same issue with an 8gb card I recently purchased. No matter how many times I formatted it I still couldn't get Android to run fully all the time.
I have since got a 4gb SD card and Android, all builds, now runs without any issues whatsoever.
Just a suggestion that it may not be something you're doing, or not doing, but an actual hardware issue!
You might also be making the same mistake I did.
When the guides on this forum said to copy the Android folder to the root of my SD card, I thought it was referring to the "/" directory that I saw in Windows Explorer. (What is actually the internal memory of the HD2)
I was putting Android in the wrong directory. I should have been copying it over to the Storage Card one, which is the actual MiniSD Card. That's the root directory.
Just a thought.
same problem...
Hey guys
i tried everything but i have the same problem
it´s only the green screen from HTC. I hope it is not the SDCard
I have the goatrip 6.0 final version and tried it with many Android builds, most of them were from Mdeejay
Please help me without android i think the hd2 is boring for me
Hi, can anyone help - I've been using Android mattc leo+ Froyo w/sense RC1.5b for months.
Today, when trying to make a call the screen went very bright, and all the colours were reversed. I then hard rebooted into windows mobile, and tried to use exceller android launcher to reboot Android, which gets stuck and then reboots back to WM without going into Android.
Can anyone help?
You might want to make a backup of your SD card and then reformat it with Fat 32. If you have been using the SD card build for months it has probably scrambled your SD card lol. I suggest you use the Panasonic SD card formatting software (Google it). Also do a full wipe and format, and use a card reader to do the formatting if you can.
Hi all,
cause my HD2 was getting freeze, I decided to flash it again. After few attempts I am in phase, that I can´t successfully finish any ROM flashing.
I tried official ROMs 1.66.405.2, 1.66.479.2, 3.14.479.2 and also unofficial.
Now I have HSPL 3.03 and flashing always ends up with error mostly in 1% or more %, because of "communication error" or "image file corruption" or "old version of DFT". Flashing from SD card does not work, it goes directly in SPL window..
Phone is still under warranty, but I´m afraid they will refuse it due to installed HSPL.
Does exist some another app like TASK29 or low-level formatting tool?
Any idea what could I try? Can it be cause of corrupted flash memory?
Thanks.
Mira
Don't freak out all is not lost you just hit a bump in the road. Did you reflash HSPL after trying to flash via SD card as flashing a official ROM via SD card will revert you back to SPL.
Yes run a Task 29 on your HD2 and make sure you right click it and run it as administrator. You have to have HSPL to run a Task 29 though so make sure you have HSPL before you run it.
I have used HSPL4 app so at this time I have in phone 3.03 HSPL.
Flashing from SD card didn´t work, window with instruction does not appear.
With Task29 is the situation same. Mostly it does not finish successfully and fail after 19% due to reasons mentioned above. I have only one account in WinXP with admin rights, so this is ok I think.
Just to be sure here you copied the RUU_signed.nbh file to your SD card and renamed it LEOIMG.nbh and then powered your HD2 on while holding the volume down button down right? Just double checking is all, plus you might have to reformat your SD card using Fat 32 if you try it again and get the same results.
It does not matter if you have one or more admin accounts on your computer and it does not matter if you are using the admin account still right click it and run as admin trust me on this.
Also go to myphone.microsoft.com/getstarted and download and install the latest version of ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center wich ever one you need according to what version of Windows your computer uses. I tell you to do this to make sure you have the latest USB drivers for your HD2.
- yes I tried it exactly this way, they were 1GB and 4GB microSD formated as FAT32
- as I said, I do not have possibility run exe file as admin, however it was working fine in the past
- I´m using now latest version MS Activesync 4.5.0
still no change

Try Googling for "Panasonic micro SD card formatting software" downloads and install it (it is free) and format your card with it. Sometimes the windows format utility just doesn't do the job. Then place the leoimg.nbh file on your SD card and try to flash it.
