Are there any good task switcher replacement apps out there these days? One of the things that annoys me most about the stock task switcher is that GMail never shows up in it. I know Itching Thumb had a pretty cool WebOS-style interface but it seems to be abandoned.
Any good recommendations for CM7 replacement task switchers?
Bumping it!
To answer my own question, I tried a ton and my favorite was Smart Task Switcher ... and it's free!

Did you really repost this from General to themes and apps.... I answered this in the General Sub-Forum post.
task killers are bad. how are people still not understanding this?
if you want to close apps, just click the mutitasking button and x them out.

I use the running applications setting from the application setting menu I have it as a shortcut on my desktop It works well for me.
I really like the asus task killer, it shows the apps that are running, how much they are using, you can kill one or all at a touch of a button...
HOWEVER
it is slow
i cant find any way to exclude some apps (like ADW launcher)
it constantly changes sizes so when you kill an app you have to wait for it to redraw
does not see all processes
Does anyone know any similar apps? I really like the widget, i know theres lots of task killers out there, im looking for one with comparable widgets.
Also on the topic of killing apps, it seems a lot of apps are running without me wanting them, like music or maps. why do they keep popping up when i dont use em?
I had the same issues. Grabbed es task manager and like it a lot so far
Just wondering, does anybody use any apps to "enhance" their multitasking? Such as PowerStrip, Smart Taskbar, etc.
Eclipsed from my DX2
Not really, since the stock ICS multitasking is pretty solid.
Don't really switch between apps that much on my phone, most of the time it's just the browser+xda+music player.
I use the shake TaskXP for MultiTasking app on my android phone. It has a task manager and Multitasking switcher.
I am looking for a lockscreen replacement that does not act as an app. All the lockscreens that I have installed from the Play market, act as an app, and as soon as I kill background apps (long pressing the home button and clearing running apps) when I lock my phone again, and unlock it the lockscreen is gone. Why is this not happening with my stock lock screen? This is getting annoying. Why do they even have lockscreens in the App store if none of them work?

Hi all,
So I am trying to figure out how to set up a shortcut or widget to create a new task in Business Tasks. Specifically, I'd like it to open the new task pane and then open the mic so I can speak the new task information. I've used Tasker some, but am just having no luck in making this work. Any suggestions?
