Trying it now and it does not work.
So the lock screen doesn't work or the flaw isn't there?

I was wrong. Mine does it. Click lock button, wait on screen to go black, then HOLD lock button.

Yea that works. Thanks
It's a UI bug, not security flaw. The lock screen shouldn't be there (hence no unlock pattern needed) unless you let it sleep pass the timeout period, the default timeout setting out of box is 5 minutes. When you set it to 'immediately', the real lock screen showed up and worked.

If You do not know or has not seen it yet their is a App in the Market that replaces you stock lock screen with a custum Honeycomb lock screen.
Its Called Ripple Lock
I have been trying it for a couple of days now and its ok so far and its FREE
If both lock screens show up just go into ripple lock and stop the app and restart it
Market LINK
I like it but hate the fact that it keeps showing both lock screens. Tried stop and start but still does it.

Yes it is a pain i would say 8/10 times its ok,,,,, The Developers are aware of this so Hopefully they will rectify it.
working a treat here on SD2.0
weird that the paid version isn't compatible with the streak according to the market..
thanks for the heads up mate, trying it out now!
I have not tried this but using No Lock and then using the replacement lockscreen has been posted in other threads as a solution to the double lockscreen problem.

I use no lock with widgetlocker and it works fine, did you open up the no lock app and make sure locking is disabled?

Update I uninstalled both apps. I reinstalled no lock first then verified that it worked. After that installed ripple lock now it works like a charm.

Seems a bug : When on the Lock screen, the Home screen button can be pressed while on the default Lock screen, this can't be done.

I use the Screen Off and Lock app to turn off the screen without fumbling for the power button. For some reason it doesn't work properly on the S3 - it turns off the screen briefly but then the screen turns itself back on.
Does anyone know of a homescreen widget or app which will turn off the S3 screen?
I also install it, on my device its set the screen off, then it came back for a second and then off.

Yes, that's exactly what it's doing on mine now.
Unfortunately, it will only work properly if the lock screen security > none
Tested with Swype, face and pin. Obviously the screen security prevents it from staying off.

That's exactly how my settings are - the screen still switches itself on again momentarily after tapping then Screen Off and Lock app. I've now tried a couple of the other free "screen off" apps and widgets and they do exactly the same thing, so maybe there's some sort of issue with an API in the S3?

In the menu I posted, select "none", then it will screen off properly. The app (and others) obviously have issue with TW lockscreen with any setting other than "none".

Why not? Read my previous posts.
With lock set to "none", the app works properly, with any type of lock, the screen will flicker from off to lockscreen on.
This proves the app is not totally compatible with SGS3 TW lockscreen.

Maybe im just stupid but i am using widget lock for my home screen customization and i am trying to not have the original lock screen with my security. So my widget lock screen will show up then i swipe and my samsung beans rom 5 standard homescreen with pin is their. Its like you have two homescreens this is retarded and i see no way to fix this? Am i retarded i know this has been problem in past but i cant find no recent chat about the issue?
thank you
Try going to your lock screen settings and changing your lock to swipe.

Or set the lockscreen style in system settings to "none" even.

Right.
Go to settings>screen lock and set screen lock to none.
But I want there to be some type of security to get into phone. Or is this not possible

If you disable the lock screen in settings and then use the widget lock, i think you will just have one lock screen.

But there is no security like pin or pattern in widget locker right. So then I have no securoty

Hello I was hoping someone would be able to make a transparent pattern lockscreen for me. I don't want to be able to see the dots at all I want it completely transparent
also I am using twisedumbrella's aosp rom
Sounds like a terrible idea to me. If you mess up that pattern lock enough times it will completely lock your phone down. At least that's what I thought.

well I use the same password and pattern lock so i'm so used to the location of the buttons that it wouldn't be a problem. plus if you can't get in you can unlock it with your gmail

You can download an app in the playstore that removes the the pattern feedback that you're drawing to unlock your phone.
Basically, all it shows is dots.

I prefer the dots so that I don't mess up the pattern. Lol. Mine is kinda complicated, even with the dots.
(Always remember to wipe your screen off so you leave no prints. I enjoy unlocking my friends phones for fun and watch them freak out on how I knew their patterns) Ha.

Yeah the dots are very helpful but I think I would look really cool if you could just draw your pattern on a blank screen and have it unlock
I'm using the pattern unlock option . But before that screen come up another screen pops up. How do I get rid that screen so that when I hit the power button it goes straight to the pattern unlock?
