Am i retarded i know this has been problem in past but i cant find no recent chat about the issue?

Try going to your lock screen settings and changing your lock to swipe.

Or set the lockscreen style in system settings to "none" even.

Right.
Go to settings>screen lock and set screen lock to none.
But I want there to be some type of security to get into phone. Or is this not possible

If you disable the lock screen in settings and then use the widget lock, i think you will just have one lock screen.

But there is no security like pin or pattern in widget locker right. So then I have no securoty

So what can I do to replace my lockscreen? I'd like something like WhisperCore which forces me to wipe away my fingerprints in order to unlock so that others can't unlock my phone by looking at the smudges. Is there anything like that out there?
I'll just leave this humongous thread here:

Wow that is a hell of a lot of lockscreens but I'm looking for a specific feature which they all seem to lack. With whispercore (for the nexus) you have a feature called sumdge-resistant screen unlock patterns. So you draw out your pattern as normal but instead of simply unlocking you are brought to another screen with stars all over the screen. You wipe your finger up and down the screen to highlight the stars. Once they are all highlighted your phone unlocks and you've successfully wiped away your the smudges from your pattern. Honestly if I'm not forced to do this then I'll probably forget.

Yeah I read about that lockscreen on these forums. It was the reason I decided to ask.

Anyone know of a lockscreen or widget that will allow me to control my Google Music app without having to slide unlock the phone. I see that the photon allows you to do this with the stock music app but not with the Google music app. Much thanks.

I'm a fan of no lock.

Widget locker does that, and more its what I choice to use
has anyone explained yet how to replace the lock screen via root to the aosp rotary one? I am interested in completely replacing the blur lockscreen
Using Widgetlocker and the darn stock Motorola lockscreen keeps popping up from time to time. Anyone know how to disable it or freeze it in TB to keep it from coming up? Very annoying to have 2 lock screens to mess with.
Is there any why to turn off the first slide to unlock screen that shows before the one you place your pattern into?
I just want to put in my pattern like I did on my Epic 4g, then have it unlock. Don't see a reason to double lock it...odd.
+1
Was trying to do this also. Even when using Widgetlocker I still get the vanilla lockscreen popping up from time to time. Would like to just use the pattern lock instead.
Definitely a bug. Was this not resolved with the OTA?

Nope. I have the OTA and still have the double lock screens. Pretty annoying...
My wife's evo shift does this too. I think it's a GB issue.

"No Lock" from the market might help, It'll turn off the Stock lock screen only but if you have another lock screen app from the market enabled, it won't disable that one. It's the only "fix" i've found so far.

so to clarify... if you download the "no lock" from the market and you have the pattern lock and the default slide lock (that currently can't be disabled) the "no lock" will remove both the slide and the pattern lock? or just the slide lock?
I still get double lock and silent bug after it's.

Not 100 % sure, I disabled the stock lock app and use the sense 3.0 lockscreen that I downloaded from xda. No lock will for sure disable the Stock lockscreen though.

I am currently using No lock to disable the Stock lockscreen so I don't get double lock screens (using widget locker) but I still get the stock lock screen when I boot my phone.
How did you manage to disable it without this app?
Apparently there is a flaw in the pattern lock screen.

Trying it now and it does not work.
So the lock screen doesn't work or the flaw isn't there?

Yea that works. Thanks
It's a UI bug, not security flaw. The lock screen shouldn't be there (hence no unlock pattern needed) unless you let it sleep pass the timeout period, the default timeout setting out of box is 5 minutes. When you set it to 'immediately', the real lock screen showed up and worked.
I use the Screen Off and Lock app to turn off the screen without fumbling for the power button. For some reason it doesn't work properly on the S3 - it turns off the screen briefly but then the screen turns itself back on.
Does anyone know of a homescreen widget or app which will turn off the S3 screen?
I also install it, on my device its set the screen off, then it came back for a second and then off.

Yes, that's exactly what it's doing on mine now.
Unfortunately, it will only work properly if the lock screen security > none
Tested with Swype, face and pin. Obviously the screen security prevents it from staying off.

That's exactly how my settings are - the screen still switches itself on again momentarily after tapping then Screen Off and Lock app. I've now tried a couple of the other free "screen off" apps and widgets and they do exactly the same thing, so maybe there's some sort of issue with an API in the S3?

In the menu I posted, select "none", then it will screen off properly. The app (and others) obviously have issue with TW lockscreen with any setting other than "none".

Why not? Read my previous posts.
With lock set to "none", the app works properly, with any type of lock, the screen will flicker from off to lockscreen on.
This proves the app is not totally compatible with SGS3 TW lockscreen.

I went into spotify and checked the box that says "device broadcast status" and I now have lockscreen controls.

I'm using the newest version of Spotify and I was able to get lockscreen controls without changing any options in the Spotify app by using a pattern lock. I have not tried this with PIN or other types of lock screens, but the controls show up where they should and function properly when using pattern lock. They do not work at all with the TouchWiz standard unlock screen from my experience. This is sadly the only way I've been able to get them working without using a third party lock screen app.
