Hey guys.
Well, my Xperia X10 boots great without an SD card - but when it's in the phone, it won't boot at all.
Well... Do you have any idea? Thanks in advance

Is there a way to backup my apps data in a situation like this? Should I copy its contents, format, then paste them back?
Thanks

Hi,
I recently encrypted my phone(Xperia Z) without SD card in it.
Now I have added a 64gb Sandisk card to my phone. Its working fine.
My question is, will the sd card also be encrypted?
How do I make sure that my sd card is also encrypted?
Cheers,
Amit

hi ricky,
:crying: I did a factory reset yesterday and then encrypted the device with SD card mounted.
After completion of encryption, I removed the SD card and tried accessing files on my PC, they are accessible!
Am I doing something wrong here?

nope, thats the only possible way i know of sorry!
unless I am completely wrong I do not think the Xperia Z and ZL support SD Card encryption. I have a ZL and been testing with Exchange ActiveSync since my company requires SD Card encryption. I have not been able to get it to work unless I turn off that one policy. I can't understand why Sony has gone this route. Almost all the other vendors now allow encrypting the SD Card.

not only sdcard will not be encrypted but you should know that your internal memory (internal SD) has never been encrypted, you might think your files r encrypted inside the phone but they are not! only /data folder gets encrypted when the phone uses android's native encryption.

You can connect your phone on your pc and format sd card. Otherwise try system->storage. There should be something about microsd card too mate.

When you plug on your phone to your pc, go computer. You should see the microsd if i am not wrong.
Does your pc has SD Card Reader?

There is some custom roms that have strange behaviors with sdcard, But the stock is not very normal to have problems.
Try back up data in your microSD, and format, and scan your sd card

cant format my sd card both in my device and in PC
Hey guys
Recently I'm having a strange problem with my sd card
I noticed that even when I was deleting files, they used to come back so I decided to format my sd card
If I mount it as usb storage from the computer, the format works but as soon as I reboot, all the files reappear and the card is formatted back to exfat.
If I use the adapter it tells me that the storage is write protected
Please please someone help me
Thanks in advance
If this is helpful:- I recently updated my phone from XXUGMJ9 to XXUGMK6
Download the sd format tool and wipe the card again, if still the same then throw it away.
