[Q] Flash version not supported - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I've been trying to view some Video Lectures in my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (GT-P7500/16Gb) and I get this error:
"Your version of Flash, 0.0.0, is not supported. Flash version 10.0.0 or later is required. To view the videos, please, upgrade to latest version of Flash.
Alternatively, you can try the HTML5 player, which only has basic features. In particular, you will not be able to view the in-video quizzes. The video speed buttons will also be disabled."
The version that I have in my device is Adobe Flash Player 10.3.186.7, the Android version is 3.1, the Base Band version is P7500XXKG7, Kernel version is 2.6.36.3 and the compilation is HMJ37 P7500XWKG9.
Does anyone know why I do get this error? It seems that the video I'm trying to see doesn't find the version of Flash Player and it says that the version is 0.0.0.
On the other hand, I can see other kind of videos without problem, in fact the same video in my computer (laptop) works fine. These videos are Video Lectures provided by Stanford University, so I'm not talking about videos made in low conditions whatsoever...
If you have any solution for this issue...
Thank you and regards,

If you're viewing it from a web page, be sure it's in desktop mode and not mobile view. That may help.

Firefox doesn't have Flash support. Try using Dolphin HD (or even the stock browser). Also, it can't hurt to set your User Agent to Desktop.

I've found the solution!!
Thank you Maris, your words make me think that I didn't check the settings for that page.
In the top right corner there is an option to display a pop-up menu, and there is an option for settings in that menu. Ther you cam activate the complements, I did it and from that moment on it is working fine.
Thank you again.

[Q] epub converter?

Found some previous ebooks in other formats I want in epub. I have no access to a computer so my normal tools aren't available. Also tried using WWW.2epub.com, but that isn't working either. Anyone know of a tool or android friendly site that works like 2epib.com? Remember, I don't have access to a computer at the moment and won't for a while.
Sorry, 2epub.com is the only one I've used and its always worked. What problems are you having?
Tapping on browse opens Adobe Flash Player for a quick second then shows a black screen with the word upload at the top and "No files were found" in the center of the screen. I am running Axura 2.2 rom... is it possible it's just because it isn't opening a file manager???

[Q] [Help] Cannot play video on web pages (only if is from youtube)

Every time I try to play a video inserted in a web page (as the video posted in facebook when accessed form web browser), it appears an error message "this video cannot be played".
- In the facebook stock app, when clicking on video, a messaje appears: "The requested page does not exists"
- I can play the video only if it it comes from youtube
- I cannot install flash player for android ICS (my system is Jelly bean 4.2, but it shouldn't care), I get a parse error. I also have tried to install it from a folder different from the download folder, but without success. I have read in the forums that if I copy the apk to another folder (e.g. mnt/odb) and try to install from it, I will succeed, but those folders are banned for writing, so I couldn't copy on it.
- When I press and hold the video, the only options available are "copy image, save as background, and so on"
- I have installed MX player and Vplayer, hoping that when i open the video I'd be prompted to choose among the players installed, but, it always opens it with the stock player.
- I have accessed the pages in the mobil and desktop mode, but without success. In desktop mode I was told to update the flash player to play the video (I cannot install flash player)
- I have tried photon browser (it includes flash player), I could install it externally, but it behaves in a strange manner: it is not compatible with my device,
- I also tried boat browser, lighting browser (it can activate/deactivate flash player, but it is not installed in my phone), puffin is tricky (not available all day long) so i didnt tried it, firefox crashes after using it shortly.
My system: generic chinese smartphone (ALPS mini S4), android 4.2, 256 mb ram,118 flash ROM, SD card 4GB, CPU cortex A9 single core
The phone performance is pretty well for an unbranded phone.

you need Downloader Browser-Plugin 1.0
Have the same problem with my new "Vodafone TV" box and couldn't find any solution in the internet. Tried loading the browser plugin suggested above but same error message! The downloader app just simply won't connect to the net, period!!!
So, anyone has a solution, or as the op said, can anyone suggest an alternative?
Pitching in, as I'm a new Shield user with the same issue. Here's the page from AFTnews explaining the issue and the work-around; includes an installation video.
aftvnews.com/browser-plugin-now-available-for-downloader-app-on-android-tv
In short, browser capability had to be removed from the Google Play version so the app could remain in the store. The dev provides an APK at browser.aftvnews.com to add the capability back in. Should be the same APK as rainman74 linked to above (Downloader-Browser-Plugin-v1.0.apk).
However, the AFTnews' recommended action of pointing the Download app's browser to browser.aftvnews.com did not work for me; I received the same web access error message from Downloader.
To get around this, I loaded another web browser (Puffin for Android TV), entered the browser.aftvnews.com URL, and Puffin downloaded the APK. I needed to relaunch Puffin, then select the APK from Puffin's download list to install. Once installed, Downloader was able to access the web.
Hope this helps.

So what do you actually enter at the Downloader http:|| screen?
Good question. I may not have been clear, but I was not able to download the patch APK through the Download application.
Instead, I installed another web browser application (Puffin TV, available in the Android TV's play store) and put the browser.aftvnews.com URL in there. When the Puffin TV web browser loaded the URL, it automatically downloaded the APK from the site.
Once the APK was downloaded, I returned to Puffin TV's main menu and selected the file from the download list. When I selected the APK, it installed the APK to patch Downloader. After that, the Downloader app was able to again access the Internet through its browser.
Note: if you are installing Puffin TV to install the APK, you will need to tell your device to allow Puffin TV to install APK's. By default, Android doesn't grant permission for applications to install APK's. That's OK; you can do so under settings and my guess is your device will tell you how to do so.
