I tried non-sense for a while, but the Sense Smoothness, Widgets and syncability have me coming back, especially with 2.3 and sense 3.0
BAMF 1.63 was very solid when I was running it. Running the beta 2.0 they have now. I haven't had too many issues with it but nothing like their 1.63
I have Das BAMF Remix 1.6.3 and things have been running smoothly as well. Sense/Stock was also smooth and stable, but I have heard that some custom kernels/ROMs can improve battery life (and hearing some complaints about the Thunderbolt's battery life, I wanted to make sure I optimized it to the best of my ability).
I am running cm7 and it is fairly stable but a bit of work to get working. I can't wait for more updates.

Well before I rooted my phone I love sense but then rooted it I been looking for a no sense. I try bamf and its so good I had the no sense but then try cm7 didn't get 4G working I went back to bamf it took me about a day to get 4g back I was running 1x, after that haven't try cm 7. I like it but the keyboard is so tiny.

BAMF 1.6.3 has a de-sense zip you can flash with it but there are not many no-sense ROMS out yet. The CM7 is in the alpha if you want to try and work with that for a while.
I cant wait for a full stable AOSP ROM to come out but for now I am using BAMF 1.6.3 de-sensed.

Senseless GB roms

Sorry for the question but aside from Gingerbean, are there any other GB roms that are desensed, specifically bamf or gingeritis? Thanks.

CM7 alpha is a GB rom I believe just runs off of special radios
CM7 runs off of any Froyo radio, I do believe.
Yep, I'm running cm7 right now with surprisingly no Bluetooth,WiFi,4g or GPS issues. Just wasn't sure if there was a reason to move over to one of the newer GB roms now that the new radio is out. Comments?

I am using BAMF 2.0 with the new radio and the 3.0 kernal and everything is dandy for me I'd say go down that route if you want GB there is just less themeing options right now but it's a new beast for sure.
If you don't want the bloat, stick with CM7.

[Q] rom recommendations

Hello! i just recently rooted by thunderbolt for the first time and i was just wondering if anybody had recommendations for roms that i should try out? also for those roms, in general, is it ok to flash to my phone using clockwork mod? thanks!
cm7 for a more stock android feel or miui because its awesome
Clockwork is fine. Many great roms, imo's lean kernels work great

I really like cm7. Check out Thundershed: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/13354-romcust1-27-2012-thundershed-v12-cm720-rc1-android-237/
If you really like sense there are some good roms with that too like skyraider or BAMF
Shiftsense with imo lean sense kernel is a rockin setup.

ROM

I have a rooted Thunderbolt with CWM recovery and Das Bamf sense 3.0. Is there a ICS ROM for the Thunderbolt? If so, which is the best with sense and beats audio?
And is there a way to get the NFL app from Verizon to work with root access? Thanks,
Kyle.

Pretty soon R3DS is going to have an ics build up and running. As of now I don't think any of them are very good. You could try protekks build but it doesn't have working data.

Thanks, disconnecktie. I think I'll wait. My current ROM is stable and works well. I just got TWRP and ICS on my kindle so I wanted to update my phone ROM too. Suggestions on a sense 3.5 w/ beats audio ROM that works properly?

InfectedROM Eternity is good from what I have read. I haven't used that one yet but it seems to be a solid ROM.

CM7 to "stock" GB for GPS?

Hi all
Currently running CM7 (7.1.1) on my Tbolt. If i remember correctly, CM7 doesn't work well with the GPS, so I'm looking to go back to the "last" official build from Vz for the Tbolt.
Can anybody direct me to what I should download/do? The reason I am doing this is because of the GPS functionality. I'm going to be doing a bit of business travel here in a bit and I need a GPS.
Thanks
Any sense rom will work fine. Try cm7.2 over at rootzwiki.

I think the first rom I had was CM 7.1 and I think I had a GPS issue too. I liked the ROM it was fast, unlike das Bamf which I'm running now. Is 7.2 less buggy. All the ROMS I see look outdated.
7.2 is a lot less buggy than 7.1. It runs great of you ask me. The gps is still finicky but there is a way to get it to work by getting a lock with a sense rom using gps status and then restoring a nand of cm7 2.
