Unlocking 2011 XPERIAs’ Bootloader without losing DRM - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

As some ones of you including me still have not unlocked the bootloader at unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com simply because not willing to lose the functionality of DRM and the TrackID, here comes another solution.
***WARNING***
The following operations may harm your device and your warranty may be void.

[requirements]
A 2011 Sony Ericsson XPERIA device with a still looked bootloader (this should work on all the 2011 XPERIA models but I have only tested on an XPERIA ray)
[referencing links]
Reading all the links below before conducting any operation is strongly recommended.

SETool Test Point Cable For Arc - Neo - Play
unlock st18i ryay
sk17 testpoint and request for help.
[unlocking your bootloader]
Find the test point of your device (see the referencing links, you may have to register an ID at support.setool.net to view some of the attachments)
Download s1tool from this thread and extract the 7z file
Turn off your phone
Connect the USB cable shield and the test point with a paperclip or some other wire
Attach the USB cable to your PC, when Windows finds a new device, disconnect the test point and manually install the driver contained in the s1tool.7z archive
Run s1tool.exe, click “Patch SEMCBoot” then follow the instructions on the screen and your bootloader will be unlocked
After the bootloader is unlocked, you can flash custom kernels or do something else like rooting your phone etc.
I am using an XPERIA ray* and I have unlocked my bootloader then rooted it. The TrackID works and no side effects found yet. Currently I have no idea about how to relock the bootloader so do this at your own risk.
Below is my s1tool log:

Yes jinx13 used setool, and did a full unlock. My phone is fastboot enabled, network unlocked, and bootloader unlocked. I have edited my post so it is clearer what i was referring to.

I am back, but I need some help ( X10 Spares or Repairs offers welcome )

Right I have another x10, problem is someone tried to scam me on ebay and the x10 that I have doesnt seem to work, it appears that no matter what firmware I flash or what sim I put in it wont get signal.
I have no idea what network it was on, but when I put my three sim in it allows emergency calls.
UPDATE
The phone appears to be sim locked, now i dont need this phone as i have a sgs. I don't have the time to mess around getting it unlocked, it is in perfect condition other than being sim locked, it has two battery's, screen us perfect, usb is perfect, casing is perfect it is just sim locked.
I will be selling this as spares or repairs, pm me if anyone is interested

Ok done that what should it tell me ? it only tells me the firmware version etc ok it says setool2 simlock certificate
does that mean it is simlocked ?
Welcome back Chiefy.
Try using the S1tool in the bootloader unlock thread. (Click here to download it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=713763&d=1315496032)
Post the log output when you're done.
What might have happened is that the scammer unlocked their bootloader the wrong way, lost signal permanently, and then tried to get rid of their x10.
It's not too likely, but it's a possibility...
EDIT: Oops... Sahib beat me...

Ok read this thread and unlock bootloader using qsd8250_setool2.cmd
Turn off antivirus if not if deletes some imp files to unlock bootloader...
If unlocking bootloader also doesn't get network and u don't like it u can also relock it...
Downgrade to 2.1 or downgrade kernel...
Downgrading 2.1 will be easiest(i have done that)
Hmmm...
Your bootloader is locked, and it is Sim-unlocked using SETool2.
Unless this person re-locked it, it's probably not the bootloader.
EDIT:
I was about to suggest that ^^ Haha, too quick for me, Sahib
right done that should it work now ?
No, just enable USB debugging and Unknown Sources.

If answer on number 9 in that FAQ is YES, then answer on your question is yes.
If the answer is no, then you will need to pay for unlocking.
the unofficial method dont work's on phones after 12w14 (i got 12w16.. -.-)
bit . ly/IRVk78 , took me 3h to find this... and i got the same message (qcReceivePacket: can't get packet start.) when i try it.

[Q] WotanServer Unlock - Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) Problem

I purchased an unlock credit for my SK17i(TP method, using a clip).
So I can unlock it and the bootloader since its operator locked It doesn't fastboot...yet...because:
I do the following steps:
Remove the battery.
Start up Wotan X Unlock Tool.
Select the SK17 Xperia Mini Pro.
Login, credit detected.
Connect tp to GND (battery conector) and insert USB while holding it.
Windows detects the phone and installs drivers (Zeus).
The wotan asks to remove the Test Point, I do so.
It then says : "Loading qc loader".
And it just stays there, nothing else happens.
I have tried grounding in diferent points, tried different drivers, different ports...heck, even 3 different laptops and nothing, it just stays there.
If I remove the USB cable it just says "Invalid STX" and I have to start over.
Payed 15€ por it and it doesn't work....
Any solutions?
Sounds kinda obvious but contact support, it's the best way to find a solution, I had some issues unlocking my bootloader also and they solved my problem.
Did you find a solution to your problem? I have the same problem with my Xperia Pro...
Worked only for models with specific date, check wotan FAQs.

well, i had the same trouble. my solution was unistall the driver, to connect the phone with TP reinstall the drivers... then try it again ans worked.
I guess it is new version
it is like Wt19i old version was unlocking smoothly
now news versions cannot be unlocked only by network
waiting for wotan server devolpment and setool also

Sadly unlocking the bootloader will invalidate your warranty which ever way you do.
Samsung are offering an unlocked version of the GIII..... with no warranty (at least in the US anyways)

First, check that your phone is allowed to be unlocked. Dial *#*#7378423#*#* on your phone. Tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.
Download the “fastboot” package. This is a software which will unlock your phone’s bootloader. Unzip it and place the folder on your PC’s desktop (or anywhere else).
Download the “fastboot” drivers. Install them accordingly.
Head over to Sony’s Bootloader Unlocking page. Click to confirm that you are sure! Accept the legal terms.
Put your name, your phone’s IMEI number and your email ID in respective fields. Your phone’s IMEI number is found by dialing *#06# on your phone. Write that down by discarding the last digit (phone’s IMEI numbers are 14-digit. Sony Xperia devices will give you a number with 15-digit once you dial *#06#. Just ignore the last digit). On the next page, you will be given an unlock code. Write this down as well.
Turn off your phone. Wait for 30 seconds. Connect your phone to the PC while keeping the volume up key pressed. Your phone’s LED will lit blue (indicating fastboot mode).
Head over to the location where you kept the previously unzipped fastboot folder. Right click while keeping pressed the SHIFT key on the folder and select “Open command prompt here”.
Type fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version to ensure your have entered bootloader mode (you will get version on java example, 0.3)
Type fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY (replace KEY with unlock code you got from Sony’s website earlier)
Voila, your phone’s bootloader is now unlocked.
Hi guys this is my first post and i too have the same problem with the bootloader on my mini pro2, i managed to root my phone the other day using this method:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695514
I thought it would unlock my bootloader but it didnt and the reason i rooted my phone was to overclock it but i am now told i need to unlock the bootloader too to allow me to overclock it, i have exactly same problem as op so i am asking if anyone knows a way to unlock it even though it has bootloader lock set to NO
Also if i do manage to unlock the bootloader will i have to root my phone again or will it still be rooted?
If the bootloader unlock is not allowed, it is due to sim lock...you can unlock it using wotanserver or omnius or you may find some help in the local shops(try at ur risk i'm just suggesting) and if you rooted the phone and then unlock the bootloader you will still have the root(like me :laugh...just see the stickies for more help and guides by mihahn...
Press THANKS if I helped....

Yes, they can be unlocked. Actually it is the only way to remove SIM-lock (and unlock bootloader at the same time), if I am not mistaken.
