[Q] Get 3.0 lockscreen w/o rom flash - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

is there a way to get the sense3.0 lockscreen without flashing a rom

I don't believe so but **** why not flash a custom rom?

There is an App called agile lock. Try that.

How to root vibrant

Anyone know a simple and easy way to root my vibrant 2.2.1 froyo, z4root 1.3.0 didnt work for me....roms, kernals, all that stuff is way over my head, just need some clear and simple easy to follow instructions to root, any help would be appreciated

Super one click root.
Search on google, first link it comes to xda.
Use that. You need to have a computer though..
All you do is enable usb debugging connect usb click root it pushes update.zip to your phone
Then it installs super user app on your phone.
Then click test or something and on your phone superuser should ask for permissions
Z4root app
Simple..install the apk and root straight from your phone without need of usin usb and that

So i said factory reset will work bro, if you reset the phone that wiill make it work
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
SuperOneClick works, but it was also the exploit in all those bad apps Google pulled and your pc will think it's a virus.
If you use the ALT METHOD in the noob guide you can have a leaked froyo+root, and then flash a custom rom or stock froyo + root.

Rom manager question

I bought my atrix already rooted and it has gingerblur 4.5 on it.
As im not really knowledgeable on roms and such i have mainly 2 doubts
My first is on using rom manager over my already romd phone...is that safe or a recipe for bricking my phone.
My second is on going back to stock...not familiar with the process im told it is necesary for the gingerbread upgrade.

You have a bit of reading ahead of you. First of all you need to unlock the bootloader..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154600
Don't be fooled gingerblur is NOT A FULL ROM

Can phone update while running unnamed?

I tried to get the new PTA update from art but the installation failed twice. Are any unnamed/custom rom users having this problem?

* OTA update
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
NEVER a good idea to do an OTA update when running a custom ROM. Also, I believe the "Update phone" option is removed from UnNamed.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
So how would I remove the rom to install the new update? Also, unnamed leaves the update phone and even keeps on the 24 hour rule

I think you can restore a nandroid of stock rom and proceed as normal.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using xda premium
UnNamed is already running the kk6 2.3.6 update...so why ota? :/
..maybe I'm missing something with your question. Sorry.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
In my phone info it says I'm running android version 2.3.4. Maybe I missed a rom update?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
UnNamed 2.0 and above is updated to 2.3.6. If you are using an older version of unNamed all you have to do is update to newer version and you're good to go.

Did you try looking in the Dev forum? How did you flash unnamed if you are this clueless?
What I meant to ask is that roes unnamed update or do I have to manually download 2.0?

You're joking, right?
houston, we have a problem...
OP you need to manually update yourself and yes UnNamed ROM gets updates...if that's what your asking. But the other thing you need to do is go back to the basics of learning what you are doing. The questions your asking are things you should already know if your gonna be Modding/flashing your phone. This is how people brick their phones .. there's more than enough info at your fingertips right here in xda. You just gotta read, and if you don't understand something, ask and read some more!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using xda premium
Every time a new ROM is released for unnamed, you need to download it and manually update it. There is no ota.
If you're lucky your phone will get 1 OTA from AT&T over the lifetime of your phone if you are stock. Custom ROMs, like UnNamed and many others on this forum on the other hand gets goodies pretty much once a week. If you keep up with that ROM's thread, you won't have any issues. You will find that as soon as you have a problem, there is likely a solution in the thread already. The search button should be your best friend. Most people are more than happy to help, unless you are asking them to spoon fed you the solution.

Chimera theme?

Can anyone port the inverted chimera rom theme to a flashable zip since when I was using it, it seemed really good looking. Any ideas on how to make one myself? Or any very similar themes?

(facepalm) use the search button, making flashable themes is ridiculously easy and has been enumerated countless times. Secondly go post on the TP forums or their facebook for help with that ROM, I can almost gaurantee you that next to no one on XDA is gonna be running it.

can some one help me out with this one look at the notification bari cant figure it out wats wrong here oh ya and i. Running blackstar XI
You flashed a theme or mod for the wrong version of ROM that your running. Go back and get a theme for BS XI and it will solve your issue. Be more careful next time and read everything before you go flashing stuff.

Possibly the Novena mod on the BS rom? They are in the same thread and it's a little confusing in there.

Yeah, this is a great example where taking the time to read is critical. After a while it's very easy to get too comfortable and start assuming things. The next thing you know, something is messed up and not sure why. It happens to everyone eventually. The devil is in the details. OP, could you do us a favor and add " Solved " in your thread title please? That way, anyone that has a similar issue (and there will be) can refer to this thread to and see how the issue got resolved? Assuming your issue is now resolved of coarse.
