HI all
Yesterday I've installed MiniCM7 Pro latest version. It worked, but I've ran into a problem which I can't find the right setting for.
I've caused this problem myself. When I click on my home-button, a pop-up appeared on my screen asking which action it should take for the home-button. I had 2 choices: SE home screen, and menu-list.
I ticked the checkbox "always take this action" and selected the SE-option. It should've been the menu-list though. Whenever I quit an application with the home-button now, it goes directly to my home screen (which I find very annoying).
Where is the setting located to adjust this?

Thank you so much, that did the trick indeed! Couldn't find it trough all these topics here on XDA.

So I have a habit of sliding the phone open and then pressing the hardware messaging key, and no matter what, it never seems to work. I press the button, and Ill see the today screen, but no messaging window. I have to slide it back closed and open again and everything sorts itself out.
I've tried looking, but haven't seen anyone complain about this particular problem. Anyone else fret about this? any solutions?
no one has this problem?

Kind of annoying thing, using black Satin... But i'll try schaps now to see if that goes away...

Im on WM5.
Vijay, I don't want to disable orientation permanently. Just sometimes, I want to start messaging, so in stanby mode itself, ill open and start it up. thats what confuses the 8525, thats all. I have to close the phone, and then slide it open again for it to regain consciousness!
Its no biggie, but i was just wondering if any1 else had a similar issue.
FINALLY... WHAT YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR

I've come to notice that no one REALLY knew how to fully disable screen rotation on WM devices.
Some offered 3rd party apps to get the job done, some only knew how to disable automatic rotation, but when the device went into standby and woke up again - the screen rotated back. So that didnt really work.
So if you're as desperate as i was about screen rotation,
this is what you need to do:
1. Get dotfred's free taskmanager HERE, and run it.
2. Go to "Devices" tab, and look for "MIS1:" device (oem_misc.dll)
3. Long-Tap on it, and tap on "Stop"
4. Long-Tap on it again, and now choose "Set Manual"
5. Go to "Notifications" tab, and look for "Notifications\NamedEvents\VCPowerWakeupEvent"
6. Tap on it to make it selected
7. Disable it
(In dotfred's taskmanager, there should be a button for disabling it, but for some reason some devices couldn't see the button icons, although the buttons are still clickable. Under the notifications list there is an empty light-blue line - the buttons are there, eventough you can't see them.
The disable buttons is somewhere i the middle of that light-blue line, just tap the center until a message box popps up and asks if you'd like to disable this notification - Tap on yes.)All those steps are a one time deal - they stick even after an SR.
This has been tested on htc universal and works great.
The screen will keep its orientation even if you flip your screen, take out your built in keyboard, or turn the device off and back on.
The only time your screen will revert back to the original orientation is when you soft reset your device.
Hope this helps

Ok I'm not sure if this is a bug or an option that can be turned off, but either way its f'n annoying. When i double tap a word to select it, it gets selected but then the menu comes up as if I long pressed the word. So I have to hit the back button. It wouldn't be such a hassle if auto correct wasn't wrong (most of the time), but it is.
Also, since the text edge glow came out I've found it easier to double tap a word to bring up the "select text" option instead of long pressing and tapping "Select Text". But having to hit back makes the cursors disappear. So I can't do that now either.
I haven't seen anyone ask about this. And yes I did search for it but either no ones' asked or I didn't word it right. I've been keeping up with Wolf's thread since it started and have not seen anything in there either. Even asked in there but was ignored. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Btw, it did this on Wolf's v3 and still doing it on v3.5 now. As well as my MMS's being stuck on "sending" with both GB versions I've installed, even though I have correct AT&T apn settings input (unless theyre different now and no ones posted the new settings). Thanks again.

I have arranged the icons on my Samsung Galaxy S2 to my preference.
However, every time I turn on the phone (after turning it off) all the icons kept rearranging itself.
Can anyone please tell me how to solve this problem?
Thanks
You have to clear data from touchwiz. Go to settings, manage applications, and funds touchwiz. Worked for me.

Hi, sorry for not getting back earlier.
Go to "settings", then press" applications". Then press the second button, "manage applications". Once in there, press the second button called "all", scroll down to "TwLauncher", and once in there, press "Clear data." You will have to setup your icons again, then it should work right. Mine was doing that, and that's what helped me.
Let us know how you go.

Anyway, it's better than nothing.
many thanks for the tips

GoEx also allows you to save/backup your page/icon layouts. I've restored mine successfully after ensuring the app linked to a each icon was restored first.
Use AppZorter
Hey Friends,
i noticed, that unlike other phones, I am having the issue of having to tap twice on the screen to get the phone to react.
More specifically, when I am scrolling up (for example the whatsapp contact list) and I tap on a contact shortly after the scrolling has hit the top the app will not go into the contact despite the tap.
I have to wait 1-2 seconds and then tap for it to actually register the tap itself.
I am having a similar tap issue with the nav bar below. I find myself often tapping twice on the circle to get to home. Somehow the hits are not registering in time/correctly.
To my surprise, there are apps (e.g. the home drawer) that react on the first tap.
Anyone with similar issues?
anyone?

I'm having similar issues but went to settings/ smart assistance and messed with "touch disable mode and glow mode"
Also try settings/ language and imput/ pointer speed.
I'm giving this a try for a couple of days before my return period expires good luck!
Case closed?
I thought i was the only one since i hadn't seen anybody post about it
I finally decided to remove the "tempered glass" which after removal I realized its not tempered glass, but a very thick screen protector (don't know what brand, I got this phone from a friend). So I was hoping that the screen protector is the culprit and YES, after removal my touchscreen sensitivity is better now. I wouldn't say it's performing perfectly, but it's much better than before. No more typo every now and then lol.
Edit:
Still getting trouble (just less frequent than before) especially when im typing fast, the letter S and A usually missed out. For example, i typed "missed" but result is "mised". And spacebar too! So annoying
Also like OP, nav bar sometimes i hv to tap twice.
i have problem with navbar not responding for about 1.5 sec after doing some stuff on homescreen. workaround for me was to switch to different navbar style after phone reboot. after next one delay returns. reported it to huawei and we'll see what happens. im on 8.0.0.129. to reproduce just tap anywhere on screen and then rigt after try to press any button on the navbar.
Same here, had touch issue since day 1. Sometimes it ignores space, sometimes I have a hard time using gesture with OnePlus gestures and so on. Gloves mode help a bit. Probably some digitiser are worse and the software can compensate only so much. I mean you can always use the warranty...
All you have to do is install this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.home.button.bottom and set it up. Even survives a reboot. Only thing is you push it, not slide up. All other gestures stay the same.

Hi Justin, thanks so much for all the help so far on this forum. But whole installing this app you suggested, I might have stumbled into a native fix for the "third party launched breaks swiping home button" thing.
Like you, I went into adb and deleted stock Oppo launcher in favor of a custom one (I'm using nova), and I too encountered the swipe home button problem where the phoje just goes to this greyed out screen. But while fiddling with the navigation settings, I chose the other swiping method (the one where you DON'T swipe up and hold to bring up multi task), aka #4 "back to the left" option. And after choosing that, my swipe navigations work normally even when running nova. Home swipe works fine.
Maybe the bug is just for the "back at both sides" swiping options?

Thanks a lot for that. Makes everything so much better.
You are the hero dude!
Hi, I have changed my default launcher without using an app, or using adb to remove the default launcher.
After installing the launcher, I've gone to settings, app management, default app management. The option to change my default launcher is there.
All the gesture options, and navigation buttons work, with no black screens or anything. I'm pretty chuffed.
Thanks

That's only available for the global model us fools who purchased the Chinese model are screwed and we cannot change this in settings.
How do you change the type of gesture navigation, I can't find those settings
How?
