I'm honestly not entirely sure what you're asking here (which may be because it's late and I'm tired, so if I'm missing something, I apologize...), however, if you're asking if a 32GB microSDHC card is compatible with the Eris, the answer is yes.
If that wasn't what you were asking... I can probably answer the question, because I have (and use) a 32GB microSDHC in my Eris. I'll just need a bit of help in understanding what the question actually is.

Hey guys my buddy gave me a 16gb micro sd from his droid x. I guess something happens with those things and corrupts the sd card. Anyways, I was wondering if you guys knew a way to fix sd cards so I could use it in my atrix. Thanks!

You can get a USB adaptor ($2 - $5) that turns any SD card into a thumb drive. Then just plug it into an available usb port in your computer and reformat the card. Should work unless there's actual physical damage to the card.
I've found that there's an added bonus in that it's faster to move stuff (photos, movies, etc) to & from the card when I have a full-size laptop screen, mouse and file manager to work with.
Awesome guys. I think ill try the usb method and if that doesn't work im guessing ill be going to Wolly world!
Thanks guys!

Hi, i know you didn't have any files on the sd card you needed but I thought I would mention this software for anyone who recently went through what I did. My girlfriend came to me upset that her card suddenly had no photos on it, so I googled corrupted sd card and it came up with some opensource software called testdisk/photorec. It found almost all the pictures and made me look good...

its called asda over here but steeling a new card isnt much of a fix now is it lol

Try to use disk tools to exam your SD card and format it?
I was planning to get 32gb sd card for my x10i so i was wondering will it work with it. Reviews around the web say that max card cant be bigger than 8 or 16 while some say it can be 32 :s
Anyone knows which one is true or where i can get that information in the phone. I dont want to waste all that money if it wont work.
Thx in advance and sorry for bad english

I am running a 32Gb class 4 SD card I bought off Amazon on mine right now. Great as I have 20Gb on it so need the space. Only thing I find is it adds a little time to your boot up as takes a little longer to loads your apps that are on SD. If you use apps2sd that is.

I need more space for music so I don't think it will change my boot time. Either way I don't mind I'm glad it works
Thx for reply

Sandisk 32gb class 4 working just fine here from amazon. Be careful if you are thinking of picking up a cheap one off ebay. The place is riddled with fakes. 32gb support was added in firmware update so if your at 1.6 you may want to check.

I have a 32gb card from my inspire I would like to use, all my music and some videos. It also has my titanium backups. Can I safely put this card in without messing something up?
It should. Don't see why it wouldn't work. Lol
Don't know about the titanium backup apps. But music and vidoes should be fine

The Titanium Backup(s) should work fine...but it does depend on each individual app and if it is compatible with your new SGSII. In general, Titanium Backup works on the SGSII. I wouldn't recommend "restoring" system apps from your Inspire, however. That may cause issues.
I seem to remember seeing a video of a 64gb SD card being properly read and used on a GSII.

And I have read that the SGS2 "officially" supports SD cards up to 32GB...so it sounds as though the OP would be OK with the 32GB card. Frankly I'm surprised such an advanced phone doesn't support cards even bigger than 32GB.

Does anyone sell a micro SD card that's bigger than 32gb? I'm fairly sure the vid I saw said that the 64gb used wasn't available to the public yet.

I've seen SD and CF cards that are 64gb but not micro SD.
Off topic: I see you're in Sherwood. I'm across the city in Maumelle. Nice to see a fellow Arkansan on here.

Actually, as soon as you put the card in your phone, a message pops up stating "All Your Base Are Belong To Us - HTC".
Only joking, you won't have any issues whatsoever whether it be the phone recognizing the card or your titanium backups. Obviously, you already know about having the phone detect the location of your backups. That would be the only thing to take into account. As someone stated earlier, make sure you don't restore any system apps because that can cause issues. Also, you don't want to replace any apps that are on the phone with your backups because that can cause issues as well.
All in all, you should be safe for whatever you are trying to do.
Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of Galaxy S.
I just moved my Micro SD card from my Inspire to my Galaxy. The card already had backups, titanium backups, apps, music, etc. All read on the S2 with no issues what so ever. I had it loaded to nearly 25 gigs and it took a matter of seconds for my phone to scan it.
Hello All,
I apologize if there was a thread about this in the past I tried searching but wasn't sure how to exactly word it. I was wondering about sd cards and partitions, I believe that the max size the atrix 4g is 32gb internal. What I was wondering is it possible to take a 64gig card partition it into 2 32gb partitions and have the phone be able to read those separately?
Thanks
Most android devices support 64gb microsd. Feel free to try it, btw is not the internal. Internal is 16gb for all of the device needs, os, webtop, etc and the external, the one you are mentioning.

Well I read like the default specs and it said it supports up to 32gb external but that was written I think before 64gb cards. I'm running cm7 so that may help too. Would just hate to spend the money if I put it in and it only recognizes 32 lol.

I've selected only the first option (new files on SD card will be encrypted) and let it sit over night. The "Wait until SD card encryption is completed" Continue button is still greyed-out. Is that normal?
That is a question for your carrier.
Edit: Not that anyone at XDA is incapable of answering this question.

A question for the carrier? How so? Isn't the GS3 doing the encrypting? This is for local storage no?
Good question. I'm sure it depends on the card read wrote speed. I didn't do my 16 gig cuz the phone advised me it might take a while. Anyone encrypt their? How long did it take? What size card?

Well, my 64GB encrypt is going on day 2 at the moment...
Damn. That's crazy

Going on day 3. Something has to be wrong. Anyone else done any other SD card encrypting?
Touch the card and feel if its getting hot. Ive noticed with these micro SD cards (and probably all mem cards) that when you do a lot of read/writes, like your doing right now to encrypt it, the cards get real hot, once they get hot enough the card effectively stops working.
I hate to say this but probably on day 1 your card stopped working and its been frozen ever since (well actually overheating would be a better term). Its probably not dead though, Ive had some cards get mighty hot to the touch, enough to burn but they kept on working, so I would't worry about that too much.
I would't encrypt the card honestly. I like to keep my cards from being written to too many times to a minimum as much as possible...
