My tab has been rooted for over a month now and everything seemed fine until a few days back.. i used it occasionally for a few mins daily and this morning it had about 20% charge left (i had last charged it about 4 days ago).. when i connect it to my charger it doesn't charge! it says MTP connected
it gets charged very very slowly when i switch of the tab.. (like after about 2 hours it had 36%!!!) through the original charger..
there was no problem until now and suddenly this happens.. i tried to wipe battery status in the CWM but it doesn't do anything! and my two laptops dont even recognize the tab anymore.. i have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and samsung kies but no use.. can someone tell me another way to transfer files so that i can unroot the tab again and take it to the shop? since i am unable to transfer the nandroid i made someweeks back i am now stuck! please help me out!

yesterday i got my phone back as it should get repaired (which it wasnt as it was not a warranty case) and so i rooted it and reinstalled cm10. all went fine and everything worked as it should.
installed a few apps and sync was all good. no force close or errors in general. During the night I kept it connected to my notebook (in standby) so it gets charged.
Bad surprise: I woke up and it didn't react at all. Black screen. nothing happens when removing the battery putting it back in and plugging in the usb-cable. no touch lights or whatsoever. no recovery, no download mode. just nothing at all.
i do have a wobbly usb port on my phone but yesterday it charged just fine without any interruption. just data mode wont work perfectly (loses connection and connects again) actually it always charges fine. so i dont think it is because of the usb port.
so what shall i do? i didnt use the phone overnight, it wasnt connected in wifi. just idling and now it isnt responding anymore...
hope that somebody can help

Does anything happen when you charge it with the normal wall charger?
Any way to try with another battery... just to see if the phone is really bricked or maybe there is no juice left in the battery...
also clean out your USB port with a toothbrush.. I had a similar issue with USB connection.. cleaning it out resolved that...

thank you for your tips.
nothing happens with the normal wall charger. trying another battery will be possible tonight and i will report back.
did the cleaning. didnt change anything with not charging but maybe if the phone will boot with the other battery it might have helped ^^
i read the other bricked thread and that was quite disapointing. still have warranty on it so maybe i'll send it directly to samsung rather than amazon.
thanks anyway for your help.
just might be interesting for cm10 users. I mean I did absolutely nothing with it. or maybe it was nand failure. idk

I am from India and I have bought a Samsung galaxy S3 SGH-I747 16GB Blue unlocked T-Mobile phone with 2GB RAM on line from Ebay. The phone is working fine till I put it in to washing machine. After 10 mints I came to know the phone is in the washing machine and I took it out and removed the battery open the parts, wiped the water and keep the phone in the sunlight by covering my kerchief around 2 hours. After 12 hours I have set the parts and put the phone in to the charger. Immediately I have received the message "Charging paused. Battery temperature is low" message. Any how I keep the phone in the charger and connected it to USB of the PC more than 8 hours and finally it charged. The audio speaker and mic is not working but hear speaker is working after fell in to water.But the battery backup was not there and battery drained in hour. Then I have buy one combatable battery and using it. It is also not long lasting and stand by only 4 hours even without using the phone.
On the other part I try to upgrade to JB 4.2.2. I rooted the phone successfully. First I have taken backup of the OEM ROM and tried with upgrading to JB 4.2.2 with cm-10.1-20130411-EXPERIMENTAL-d2att-M3. It's failed. Then I tried with aokp_d2att_jb-mr1_build-6. It's installed and working fine. But it's not JB4.2.2. Then I searched for compatible another ROM and fine Hyperdrive RLS13 Universal S3. I have reflashed with procedure and installed Hyperdrive RLS13 Universal S3. It's working fine but "google play store" is not working. Then I tried with another ROM CARBON-JB-v1.7-d2att. It is also working fine but not JB 4.2.2. In between I have restored the OEM from backup two times. The I found Samsung I9300XXUFME3_I9300OJKFME1_ILO. tried with this is not installed. Then I revert to CARBON-JB-v1.7-d2att. Then I found Liquid-JB-v2.4-OFFICIAL-l900 and installed it. The installation is completed and when I restarted the phone nothing happened and I have waited for 1/2 hour. After that phone is even not powering on. I tried by removing battery and keep the phone idle for hours, insert the USB cable with PC and removed the battery and re inserted it. Nothing happened. No power indicator light is shown and I removed the battery and inserted the USB with connected PC. While inserting the USB cable, the power indicator is just flashing. But the phone is either not charging nor power on. Please help me to get ride of this problem.

Hello guys, I have a galaxy S II i-9100g and installed jelly bean 4.1.2 (or the latest one, I don't remember the exact version) and had it working perfectly until a week ago, the phone started to crash, even if the battery was full (PS: the phone had charging issues, it used to charge in the wall, then later a month or two, it only charged when plugged in the laptop).
A week ago the phone crashed. It boots but gets stuck at the Samsung galaxy logo, and I was near where I bought it (never checked at that time if any of recovery mode or download mode were working), so I asked the dealer about the problem, he said he can repair it, and gave him the phone. A couple of days ago, I called him and asked him about the status of my phone, he said it isn't repaired yet, and the problem is still unknown, he said that they tried flashing a software, but nothing worked, he also mentioned that they have tried another battery on it without any success!
Now that I got the phone back, I tried charging it but nothing appears on the screen! I even tried going to recovery mode or download mode, but nothing happens! Odin does not recognize it also.
Can someone please help? It's out of warranty!
By the way, the phone had charging issues, it worked on some chargers, and didn't work on some! And I used to hold the cable against something so it pushes it up, otherwise the phone won't charge
So do you think the problem is where the cable goes in the phone, or a software problem, or either both? Any help would be appreciated, and I'm giving away thanks to all the replies! Thank you!

Anyway,you can try a working battery in it,and a usb jig and get a new usb port,and it all that fails search for jtag.
And if still nothing then a new mb is on the cards.Heres a link that explains what I think

My Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is running CM 10.1.
More and more frequently it would not recognize a charger connected. I would have to reconnect and it would eventually charge. About a week ago, it just would not charge. I tried connecting to a PC, tried the official charger from Samsung, tried a second charger, nothing. During all of my tinkering to fix it, the battery eventually ran out. I figured the battery was dead.
I ordered a replacement battery and installed it myself. The tablet booted up just fine and showed 60% battery. I connected a charger, it started charging. I wake up the next morning and it is not charging and sitting at 68%. So it did charge some. I got it to charge again for a couple of minutes, but now it has been a couple of days and it will not charge and I am now down to 7% battery.
I tried factory reset, that made no difference. I have the Samsung keyboard dock and it works, That tells me that the connector on the tablet is OK right? Does anyone have any ideas here?

Hmmm.... I have the same problem here. And I still do not know how to resolve it.

I'm not sure...but I have heard of phones shutting down when they had power left because the battery stats were off around 15 percent.. Maybe it won't let it charge because it thinks its full. You might try to reset the battery stats in recovery.. Just guessing here.. I'm not sure this can be done on this tab / rec...I heard it being done on an E4GT.. I do think I seen that option in my twrp rec though.. I've only flashed about five ROMs on this device so I haven't dug around in rec that much.. But I know its in cwm on e4gt

in november 2012 i bought s2 and after 10 months my s2 turned off without any reason.. i tried everything but my phone was not turning on... infact recovery and downlod mode were also not working... many posts on xda told me that my phone is dead and need a motherboard replacement... but the hilarious moment was " my phone turned on exactly after 48 hours".... i was too happy and i forgot everything that what happened with me...
then in october 2013 my s2 again suddenly turned off without any reason
everything was black and again exactly after 48 hours it turned on...
now today my phone is again turned off... and i hope it will again turn on after 48 hours...
can anyone of you plz tell me what type of fault is it????

Are u using stock rom? How did that happen in the first place? Maybe some screws need tightening or something.

Did you ever let the phone fall hard on the ground and are the battery contacts still good? What ROM and kernel do you have installed.

not at all... my phone never fall never contacted with water... first i was on biftor rom v10 but after 1st time issue i changed the rom to stock jelly bean but now my phone is again turned off... it has been 6 days passed and my phone is not turning on except going into download mode only when it is connected to pc usb

about 2 months ago i put my phone on charging and i was out for some personel work... after 5 to 6 hours i came back and removed my phone from charging and i logged into facebook app, after 5 to 10 minutes my phone turned off and then it continues till yet
now whenever i connect it to the charger or pc usb i get an empty grey battery icon with 3 seconds intervals... i have tried a fully charged battery of another s2 of my friend but still failed to boot up... my own battery works fine on my friend's s2 that means its not the battery fault

Is the battery the original one that came with the phone?
Do you checked the voltage of the battery?
I recommend you to try with another battery when the phone will die again and see if it can start wiht another battery!
