Disabled. It will only slow the Aria down. Its for low end devices with really low ram. If you're having problems with ram then you can try adding compcache starting low. I personally never had
any memory issues on the aria.

I'm using Lean Kernel... Drastic change on my battery life. Everywhere between 11-15 of use. And that is OC'ed to 1.4. Only profile I have setup is a Screen Off 380 throttle down.

That's probably why you're getting good battery life.

So I use my phone quiet a bit like almost constantly and I usually struggle to get 5-6 hours out of my phone.. I had done an avs antivirus pro scan and deleted a few useless sprint apps (using avs antivirus pro if you go into tools and tuneup) then I did a battery calibration the next morning when I had 100%,(which I had done before) ive now been today gotten a little over 8 hours! (actually the final time I got was 8 hours 8mins and 8 seconds )
Just a tip dont know if this will be consistant for everyone post back your results if you try it!
(this photo isnt quite at 8 hours but that 1% of battery life lasted quite a long time!)

Best I've gotten so far. That was during an average work day, heavy usage before and after work with moderate usage while at work during smoke breaks and such.

Or you could just turn off mobile data expect when you need it.
I'm going to see what I can get with it underclocked to 750mhz(second core disabled) and mobile data turned off.
This is on Rock rom, with the 1.3ghz rom from it, and I uninstalled moto portal and task manager.

You posted on the kernel thread that underclocking to 750mhz disables the second core. I tried it on multiple kernels and it gave me similar results on all of them, in battery life and benchmarks.

That only worked on that one kernel.
I'll be making another soon

The worst observed battery life was about 3 hours when using the phone in a poor signal location and doing lots of web surfing. Max battery life observed so far was 37 hours just about 5 days ago.
I had good improvement after killing Sprint apps too. I still need a bigger battery through....

Keep in mind you would drain your battery life a lot faster especially if you keep using your phone even on non intensive task such as txting.
The cpu cores would be always turned on instead of being in sleep state where it is drawing almost no battery

Thanks for that. I know I am well aware of that I will turn it off when my charger isn't near me or when I'm not doing a lot at once..

I'm no developer, but I read online that Sprint's ota update brings visual vm update and battery improvements. Think it's possible to use those battery improvements in our Roms or kernel? Just curious.

I would be very interested in seeing their battery stats after this "improvement" to see where AndroidOS is. It would be nice if someone could solve that riddle, wrapped in an enigma and covered with a heaping portion of mystery.

No, I think he was trying to say it isn't anything we should worry about because whatever their update was, we already got it earlier...and we see no Android os improvements.

It says some small fixes, but specifically mentions battery improvements. I figure any increase can't hurt.

You'll get nice gains with ROMs using dark modes available in settings or inverted gapps. I prefer the one click option in settings. May help narrow your search.

aaaaand again.
folks I have come to the conclusion that this CLASS OF PUNK is merely trolling. he has some simple issue for anybody else, yet it is pancreatic cancer to him. he has one of these issues almost every week, and I have responded every week. you will never get a response as to your suggestion helped or his issue being resolved.
from everything I gather, he is just making things as difficult as possible for himself. most of his issues could be resolved by him actually reading the Super Everything Thread. i dont think he wants to be helped.
I know this is a thread about helping people, not a thread about how many thanks you can get. but it is a courtesy to let people know that you issue was solved.
Dude i thanked the first guy who gave me a reply and alot of times when i don't respond is because i am working sorry for any convenience And as of now still i get little more battery juice the jellybamsandwich gave me around 3 hrs of battery juice so that's a plus sorry guys for not responding

I've been using straight CyanogenMod 10.2.2, hibernating all my apps in Greenify (app), set the cache to 4096k in SD-Booster (app), and use the "Ultimate" setting in Autokiller Memory Optimizer (app), and my battery life exceeds 24 hours.
Wow are you a heavy or average user? And I tried something new last night I odexed my apps and I can realise a major difference now with the speed I still gotta check back on the battery life though I just took it off the charge lol but I gotta good feeling bout this
