[Q] Anyone working on an AOSP ROM? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

Just wondering if anyone plans to develop a pure AOSP ROM.
EDIT: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1694367

Bump

CM7 is about as ASOP as you're going to get.

[Q] Gbread theme for aosp 2.2.1

Anyone know where theres a working framework-res.apk for the gingerbread theme? I found one a while ago but google likes gingerbread aosp instead of the theme
I don't know and I doubt that there's sth like that, but devs are working on gingerbread, so why not try the early builds? they're really fast and overall stable - than you'd have gingerbread-feeling

[Q] Deblur procedure?

Anybody knows if this works on the Atrix?

Many developers tried to deblur stock ROM on the Atrix and always ran into problems. Blur is very deeply integrated, meaning it's easier to compile an AOSP rom than deblur the official rom. And that's exactly what developers are doing at the moment.
See the CM7 thread.
On so many levels I can't wait to see the final "official" version of CM7 and compare it to the stock...
The biggest problem with Blur is that it is all the way down into the framework and if you start removing stuff, some of the "markers" will be broken. AOSP is the best way to deBlur but until then you can always install a semi deblurred custom ROM and freeze what you don't need. That's what I've done and in day to day tasks it feels like an AOSP ROM (sorta). Unless you drill down into settings, you wouldn't know my phone was running Blur at all.
oh... interesting. I guess I'll wait for CM7

[Q] What is so great about MIUI

My question is, this...
1. what is MIUI I understand it is based off of cyanogenmod 7? So does it take features away, add more features? is it purely aesthetic changes?
2. Are there benefits to MIUI over CM7 weeklies (besides looks).
3. I've never encountered MIUI before so any info would be great!
Its not an aosp rom so it's not based on gingerbread.it's a complete rework of the framework. Its actually developed from ccm7 but cm7 is only used as a base. Miui is a completely different experience. Also miui has its own custom themes! Which is awesome.

Interesting, well once we get the front camera working I may sample MIUI and see what it's about! thanks!

[Q] Sense IME on AOSP?

I am wondering if anyone has been able to make the Sense IME (keyboard) available on AOSP ROMs. I am aware that there are ROMs out there that are Sense/AOSP smashed together. But that's not what I am looking for. I do not have the HTC One, sadly. But I love the looks and I am looking forward into getting one. But for now, I want to know if anyone would be willing to extract the Sense 5 IME and plant it into a pure AOSP ROM. I am afraid of framework incompatibilities and other things that might make it not work. Thanks in advance!
