I like SE x10 mini Pro stock keyboard
I am looking for it. I want to use it on my new Android.
What files should I need to copy them?
Best Regards
Suquashiinputmethod.apk afaik
Sent from my U20i using xda premium
thank you for the quick reply.
That was my first thought.
I copy to /data/app and /system/app and it does not seem to work
What phone are you on now?
Guess you're interested in the T9 keyboard?
Sent from my U20i using xda premium
yes, thats it.
I'm on Huawei Ideos X5
I hate querty keyboards.
I have tested Go Keyboard and Smart Keyboard. None is as good and simple as standard's SE Input Method
Didnt get it working yet.
Any other help here? Clearing dalvik cache did not help also. I have MIUI with Ginger 2.3.5 on the X5
I think you should ask at some Huawei Ideos X5 forums
I found "Smart Keyboard Pro" is just as good, maybe better than stock SE one.
You can also set it for XT9 in portrait and QWERTY in lanscape, plus easily change theme.
thats the one I am using at the moment.
Go Keyboard is good also
to make the SE standard input work u need to have all this installed
- System\app\SuquashiInputMethod.apk
- System\etc\permissions\com.sonyericsson.suquashi.xml
- System\lib\libZiEngine.so
- System\usr\zi\ (-> entire folder and contents)
- System\usr\keyboard-config\ (-> entire folder and contents)
Except that the keyboard-config folder assumes the h/w keyboardlayout of the U20i, so you'll have to adjust that to match the output of the huawei keyboard first i think.
Or try to completely leave out the keyboard-config folder and see if it defaults to the huawei layout for lack of better info.

Thanks!
What a great post.
I will try it ASAP and I will tell if that worked!
Thank you!
I copied all those files to huawei ideos x5
i also added the framework/com.sonyericsson.suquashi.jar
it worked!
but now there is a resolution problem:
se x10 mini pro > 240x320
huawei ideos x5 > 800x480
is there any sonyericsson device with 800x480 resolution to get framework/com.sonyericsson.suquashi.jar

Arc and play is 800x480 right?

Totally forgot about the framework file it wouldn't have worked without it.
no clue really on how to fix the resolution tho, my guess is that it should be somewhere in the xml files contained in the layout folder of suquashi.apk

numbers sometimes are backwards, and i can see the headline in gmail (but i can read the mail in Hebrew)

assuming that you already rooted your phone
1. Google for "android israel pack" , use the first link on Google: "israelpack - Project Hosting on Google Code"
2.use the direct download link
3.copy the IsraelPack_latest.apk file to your SD card.
4.use the application installer (on your phone) to install the pack.
5.on the pack download the Hebrew fonts.
6.restart the phone.
that's it...
worked on my phone, x10mini.
URGENT. Installed israelpack - everything in Chinese now
Rooted Motorola DEFY (2.1) and installed israel pack as described. Selected only the fonts option. After reboot, everything is in Chinese fonts. How do I get out of this? I tried to uninstall israelpack but the buttons have text in Chinese so I do not know what to click on.
Need help badly!
Thanks
Update
Update: somehow, after rooting the phone and installing israelpack, I got some malware into the phone - everything was displayed in Chinese and ads for new cars were shown at the bottom.
In my attempts to restore defaults, I also unplugged the battery and ... the lovely English fonts came back!! And when I go to a website with Hebrew text, the text is displayed correctly.
All in order now but I wish I knew what malware was installed and how to get rid of it FOR GOOD.
I stumbled in a way to make dualtouch work on my x10 mini
My thanks to slade87, doixanh and nobodyAtall.
Cause i'm very very noob in android the only way i managed to install this was:
-X10 mini rooted
-Root explorer
-download multitouch.zip from this post
-copied files cy8ctma300_ser.ko and x8gesture.ko to /system/lib/modules
-copied files android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.distinct.xml and android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.xml to /system/etc/permissions
-edited file hw_config.sh in folder /system/etc
-wrote
# dx: our modded touchscreen driver
insmod /system/lib/modules/x8gesture.ko
insmod /system/lib/modules/cy8ctma300_ser.ko
sleep 1
-Rebooted the phone
DUN!!
Sooorrry
As posted by moedjs, it is really not needed some steps in this tutorial , now it goes this way.
-X10 mini rooted
-Root explorer
-download multitouch.zip from this post
-copied file x8gesture.ko to /system/lib/modules
-edited file hw_config.sh in folder /system/etc
-wrote

easy man. it's great dat u enabled dualtouch on ur cell. but a kind kind request, please post these in the "general" forum....dis sub thread is only for the "development".
try out an custom ROM available in our forum. OUR DEVS ARE THE BEST. most of the ROMs are stable, have an upgraded version of android and have dual touch enabled by default
next time onward please post this kind of posts in general forum.
I think that this is the correct forum because this is a development of android's x10 mini.
Another thing. This is real dualtouch as x10 mini pro has or is the simulated pinch zoom?
Dual touch will never work, it's a HARDWARE limitation people! RTFM!! Fake dual touch is all we can ever have. Research that module you tried installing... its been around for a while... again RTFM!! The mini devs are actually sick of explaining this to people because they don't RTFM!

no, it ISN'T!!!!...dis dual touch module is out for AGES!!!!and we have an "actual" original thread dealing with this.
this thread is a simulation of that and should find it's place in the general forum and not here!!!!!...and one more thing....
xperia x10 mini is not capable of supporting more than 1 finger!!!!it can NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER HAVE ACTUAL DUAL TOUCH ....it is just a digitizer calibration which fakes the display driver with another "fake" "virtual" interaction point!!!!
sorry if i bothered anybody, did not mean 2.
Erm..
Read:
YOU CAN NOT HAVE DUALTOUCH ON A DIGITIZER THAT ONLY SUPPORTS SINGLE TOUCH + PINCH ZOOM!
WE CAN NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER HAVE REAL DUAL TOUCH UNLESS SOMEONE SWITCHES THE DIGITIZER FOR ONE THAT DOES SUPPORT DUALTOUCH.
CAPICHE?!
It worked
Thankx man it worked on my mini thanks..............actually i had dual touch but u made it easy by editing all files.......
ehm......... fake or real dualtouch??
muito obrigado melhorou meu fake dual touch
I noticed the improvement!
Thanks for sharing!
Something better than nothing
First, sorry if i didn't clarify everything at first.
This is a fake dualtouch (like it was already said in this thread, xperia x10 mini doesn't support dualtouch by hardware) and that i only managed to get it working.
I wanted to share the way i made it work because the info i collected wasn't clear to make it work.
This is a fake dualtouch like slade87's Dualtouch for the mini pro, for me works very good.

Then you're wrong :/
The digitizer is manufactured by Synaptics, with the main touch screen controller labeled as T1021A 1 0942 AC0P876.
this IS multitouch capable hardware, but software limited due to kernel dependencies

this is a myth. discussed in many places. its not possible to confirm/negate this until spl/boot miniloader is finally ready and you can hack around with a custom kernel.
but: in my country a kernel dev gets something like 60-100$/hour so better work 3 hours and buy the new xperia mini.
so good luck with this i got now an xperia mini with an custom kernel
Mine has multitouch! ???
am i in the wrong device forum?

Hello,
I installed MiniCMv7 on mini X10 mini pro. As i have a hardware AZERTY keyboard, i used mini rom manager to change it, and it actually works. But i would know if it was possible to edit it, in order to get those character : à; é; è; ê; ë; ü.
I know it is in a xml file in system, but i don't know what for a file... Thanks !!
I have MiniCM7-2.1.8 on my X10 mini pro, and now I am stuck finding the correct way to enable the QWERTZ keyboard layout for the Standard and Android input method including the special German characters.
slade87's thread gives some (although quite confusing) info, but the files for download are not working any more, because they are based on the old update-script-style not supported by CWM any more.
It should not be that hard to perform such an important localization, most solutions only manipulate the keyprint.xml, but that's not enough.
So can someone please explain how to get fully localized QWERTZ keyboards for the German language up and running?

Use the application mini rom manager ... Search in xda..
Sent from my U20i using xda premium
Ok, switched to QWERTZ using ROM Manager, but as I already knew, this only switched it for the Standard Input, but not the Android Input.
I have seen in slade87's thread, what has to be done, to switch the Android Input, but I don't know how, since the downloads in slade87's thread do not work any more with recent CWM, and I really do not want to fiddle around in the ROM manually.
Any suggestions, or do just have to forget about the Android Input?
I´m going to "fix" my dad´s phone tomorrow so stand by until then..

IMPORTANT: don´t forget to set correct permission for the files or your buttons will not work anymore.
Hi all
I've watched the noob video on registration and I'm a little afraid to ask but here goes...
Wife recently bought Xperia Ray. Wife hates QWERTY keyboard on landscape view but likes everything else about handset. Is it at all possible to make the selected portrait keyboard (in this case phonepad / T9) appear in landscape mode also? Have googled and searched on market to no avail. Was advised to post my Q on here by a slightly more tech-literate, but still puzzled, friend.
Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions and / or tips.
Cheers
Go to Settings>Language & Keyboard>International Keyboard>Portrait Keyboard> Select Phone pad. It is available on my Xperia Mini (ST15i)
hi
thanks for that but what I'm after is whether it's possible to change default qwerty text input in landscape mode to t9 style entry.
cheers
There is a root app that does that, it's called: Keyboard Manager
Thanks for that.
Any idea where I can find a relatively noob-friendly tut / walkthrough on how to root a Ray? Drivers seem to be an issue, find the USB / ADB nomenclature of them very confusing... which would I need?
Cheers in advance

Go to Ray developement, there should be some guides on how root with unlocking bootloader. As I am on my phone right now, I can't post links, so search there.

Portrait Phonepad keybord
I need portrait Phonepad(Alphanumeric) keyboard for Xperia st15i mini as it is tedious typing in qwerty mode(Screen size is small).
It is not provided in CM9 smultron
