I stumbled in a way to make dualtouch work on my x10 mini
My thanks to slade87, doixanh and nobodyAtall.
Cause i'm very very noob in android the only way i managed to install this was:
-X10 mini rooted
-Root explorer
-download multitouch.zip from this post
-copied files cy8ctma300_ser.ko and x8gesture.ko to /system/lib/modules
-copied files android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.distinct.xml and android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.xml to /system/etc/permissions
-edited file hw_config.sh in folder /system/etc
-wrote
# dx: our modded touchscreen driver
insmod /system/lib/modules/x8gesture.ko
insmod /system/lib/modules/cy8ctma300_ser.ko
sleep 1
-Rebooted the phone
DUN!!

As posted by moedjs, it is really not needed some steps in this tutorial , now it goes this way.
-X10 mini rooted

easy man. it's great dat u enabled dualtouch on ur cell. but a kind kind request, please post these in the "general" forum....dis sub thread is only for the "development".
try out an custom ROM available in our forum. OUR DEVS ARE THE BEST. most of the ROMs are stable, have an upgraded version of android and have dual touch enabled by default
next time onward please post this kind of posts in general forum.
I think that this is the correct forum because this is a development of android's x10 mini.
Another thing. This is real dualtouch as x10 mini pro has or is the simulated pinch zoom?
Dual touch will never work, it's a HARDWARE limitation people! RTFM!! Fake dual touch is all we can ever have. Research that module you tried installing... its been around for a while... again RTFM!! The mini devs are actually sick of explaining this to people because they don't RTFM!

no, it ISN'T!!!!...dis dual touch module is out for AGES!!!!and we have an "actual" original thread dealing with this.
this thread is a simulation of that and should find it's place in the general forum and not here!!!!!...and one more thing....
xperia x10 mini is not capable of supporting more than 1 finger!!!!it can NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER HAVE ACTUAL DUAL TOUCH ....it is just a digitizer calibration which fakes the display driver with another "fake" "virtual" interaction point!!!!
sorry if i bothered anybody, did not mean 2.
Erm..
Read:
YOU CAN NOT HAVE DUALTOUCH ON A DIGITIZER THAT ONLY SUPPORTS SINGLE TOUCH + PINCH ZOOM!
WE CAN NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER HAVE REAL DUAL TOUCH UNLESS SOMEONE SWITCHES THE DIGITIZER FOR ONE THAT DOES SUPPORT DUALTOUCH.
CAPICHE?!
It worked
Thankx man it worked on my mini thanks..............actually i had dual touch but u made it easy by editing all files.......
ehm......... fake or real dualtouch??
muito obrigado melhorou meu fake dual touch
I noticed the improvement!
Thanks for sharing!
Something better than nothing
First, sorry if i didn't clarify everything at first.
This is a fake dualtouch (like it was already said in this thread, xperia x10 mini doesn't support dualtouch by hardware) and that i only managed to get it working.
I wanted to share the way i made it work because the info i collected wasn't clear to make it work.
This is a fake dualtouch like slade87's Dualtouch for the mini pro, for me works very good.

For me, its way better than the other in this forum.
Its not quite smooth, but much better than not having it.

Then you're wrong :/
The digitizer is manufactured by Synaptics, with the main touch screen controller labeled as T1021A 1 0942 AC0P876.
this IS multitouch capable hardware, but software limited due to kernel dependencies

this is a myth. discussed in many places. its not possible to confirm/negate this until spl/boot miniloader is finally ready and you can hack around with a custom kernel.
but: in my country a kernel dev gets something like 60-100$/hour so better work 3 hours and buy the new xperia mini.
so good luck with this i got now an xperia mini with an custom kernel
Mine has multitouch! ???
am i in the wrong device forum?

Hi guys,
Well, the situation is that a friend has bricked his x10 mini camera by installing vignette (2010-05-06 found on apktor) yes it is an out-of-date version so I think that's the reason why the camera has died. Maybe when X10 mini was released, vignette in those days couldn't recognize that kind of camera, so when He ran vignette old version PAF!! but it's just a theory.
I'm currently running vignette (last version) and as you can probably know, it works like a charm.
has someone tried to install that specific version of vignette on a x10 mini? with successful results?
PS: Excuse my poor english.

It's the first time I've heard something like "bricking specific hardware with an app".... Well, i'll go see in the spanish post for the time being.
Here is a application i am building to manage my x10 mini and install with easy all the findings here in community from our devs (e.g. xrecovery, kernel modules)... At now it's really in early developement and for a while it will be like this cause i am studying for my exams at university... The design will be changed in the first beta release... So will anyone do me the honor and give me a feedback???
After a feedback the app will be removed so to continue developing until the first beta release...
This app is tested on stock 2.1.A.0.6!!! Don't uninstall anything or edit it... Just press the connect button and see if everything show like the two attached pictures!!!
View attachment 612041 View attachment 612042
The reboot to xrecovery button is disabled cause it needs a little more work!!!
Link is down... I am publishing soon from now an updated version with new design and a lot of bug fixes!!!
Also this release contains many new features as you will see!!!
Unfortunately i didn't get a feedback from anybody....
It seems pretty great because on our phones the screen is too small so it's kind of irritating when you re trying to install roms and your eyes are getting tired..
Looks good and interested ..
A Frameworkmanager could be inside..
Sorry for my bad english
Ok guys so i will publish it but i am telling you the first beta will come in about a month(sorry exams you see )... If anyone is interested for testing and reporting please pm me!!!(it would be usefull to know that "connect" button shows up everything correct)
Well seems like it's very similar to ADB mask
Im working now on a easy tool for editing and backup hw_config.sh i think today will make it public
Looks interesting. But I don't need it though. Still, you should release it to help the others.
Do you know Flahtool ? See here for details -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
Thanks for your work to, because flahtool didn't have a hw_config.sh editor but he does all the rest !

Look mate this will be my program and my code for operating with the mobile(by this i mean only my program code not that it installs..e.g. clockword recovery is an achievement from nobotyatall and i thank him for that)... I needed a beta tester but noone volunteered... So listen to some of my program features......
Install all x10 mini hacks by one click (Autodetects which ones are installed)
hw_config editor & build.prop & gconf & hosts
Reboot to xrecovery for almost any installation (need some more testing)
Push files everywhere
Run a sh script from PC without needing to push to mobile and give the proper command from adb
Manage application
Preview, backup, change your bootanimation
Backup, change Framework
Manage, install, remove installed apps
In later version connect wirelessly to your mobile
CPU info, profiles, and freq setting
more, more, more to come
So this is an app made by a x10 mini owner and at first stage will support only x10 mini as a later device i will add x10 mini pro
So it will be nice to give me some support and somebody pm me for testing and not telling me with what my app looks like... Its yours choice to use it or not....
My regards,
Ribben

Hey, thanks, but it isn't datasheet of NT35510, but only short schema of some LCD mounted with NT35510.
Maybe, the LCD of the Samsung I9003 (European version) is the same. The source code with drivers for it, it is here... h t t p s ://opensource.samsung.com/
There is various sources codes with drivers that if we mix it, we can install Android to the S8530.
Sorry for my english.

But at the moment I can't see this...
Need more details, then I could compare S8500 and S8530.

I've already got datasheet for LCD controller (thanks to Tigrouzen), that's all we need. Now I need some time to get straight with more important jobs and this will be done for sure.

porting android on s8530
hi, i'm not a dev but i think about something... Instead of porting a galaxy s rom, why not porting a nexus s rom? The nexus s has the same hardware as the wave 2 , the nexus s sold in europe have SCLCD screens like the wave 2 unlike they have 4".

We are taking SCLCD driver from Nexus S, that it has got similiar panel, but different controller, so it still need alot of work on control sequences anyway.

There is currently no way to get android on the s8530. Hence why this topic is here. Please use the search function before posting.

Someone is able to find S8600 related documents?
Or all in wait position...
Can someone search for more infos...
Google for instance.
How hard it is to integrate Display Driver?
Are changes "few Bytes" or few MB ?
No idea.
Bootloader contains Display Driver...
Maybe someone can please explain few parameters in ELF files... DDLC2 India INU Version have these additional Bootloader ELF files...
Now less differences in adresses... so maybe now more chance to identify some Display related...

How hard is it to integrate display driver?
All depends what's already done. In I9000->S8500 driver port it's actually matter of changing few lines to get LCD working (with initialization by SBL, haven't bypassed this yet)
Though for S8530 Oleg had to write it basing on driver for similiar lcd but for TI OMAP CPU. So it was bunchload of work, but it's done and working. So nothing's impossible, it's always matter of time and will or money (yea, one of the 2 last).

About Screenlock...
Someone knows M210S Display data?
Because on my S8500 M210S Firmware runs correct... I can see all and Screen awake after pressing Lock key...
Thanks, but it's unnecessary - difference is obvious - S8500 is waking up AMOLED screen based on TL2796 chip, for which we've got complete driver from I9000. S8530 is waking up SCLCD screen based on damned LG4573, and only reference driver we've got for it is some old omap phone. There's trouble with configuring the screen after putting it out of the reset, causing it not power on properly.

This I can find in S8500 AND S8530 AND M210S Firmware + Boot... ELF...
Code:
LDI_TL2796
lcd/LDI_TL2796_Lismore.c
LDI_TL2796_Lismore.o
LDI_TL2796_Lismore.h
LCD_Driver.h
LDI_TL2796_Power_On
LDI_TL2796_Power_Off
I can not find "LG4573" as test String in Boot ELF nor in apps_compressed.bin...
For Wave 2 (S8530) Samsung used very smart this:
Code:
lcd/LDI_TL2796_[B]WAVE37[/B].h
Anyway...
Maybe deeper investigation in ELF files from INU... indian Firmware, because S8530 + S8500 ELF files available... for compare...
Now I will try to find these Chips... if visible in schematics or Pics...
Best Regards
JVLC2 TUR Both S8500 and S8530 also has ELF files
and BTW if you google "LDI_TL2796" this then you can find thishttp://pastebin.com/ux191gyQ
LDI_TL2796 : LDI_S6E63M0_Power_On [hwrev > S8200_UNIV_B7]
LDI_TL2796 : LDI_S6E63M0_Power_On [hwrev >= S8200_REV03]

I like SE x10 mini Pro stock keyboard
I am looking for it. I want to use it on my new Android.
What files should I need to copy them?
Best Regards
Suquashiinputmethod.apk afaik
Sent from my U20i using xda premium
thank you for the quick reply.
That was my first thought.
I copy to /data/app and /system/app and it does not seem to work
What phone are you on now?
Guess you're interested in the T9 keyboard?
Sent from my U20i using xda premium
yes, thats it.
I'm on Huawei Ideos X5
I hate querty keyboards.
I have tested Go Keyboard and Smart Keyboard. None is as good and simple as standard's SE Input Method
Didnt get it working yet.
Any other help here? Clearing dalvik cache did not help also. I have MIUI with Ginger 2.3.5 on the X5
I think you should ask at some Huawei Ideos X5 forums
I found "Smart Keyboard Pro" is just as good, maybe better than stock SE one.
You can also set it for XT9 in portrait and QWERTY in lanscape, plus easily change theme.
thats the one I am using at the moment.
Go Keyboard is good also
to make the SE standard input work u need to have all this installed
- System\app\SuquashiInputMethod.apk
- System\etc\permissions\com.sonyericsson.suquashi.xml
- System\lib\libZiEngine.so
- System\usr\zi\ (-> entire folder and contents)
- System\usr\keyboard-config\ (-> entire folder and contents)
Except that the keyboard-config folder assumes the h/w keyboardlayout of the U20i, so you'll have to adjust that to match the output of the huawei keyboard first i think.
Or try to completely leave out the keyboard-config folder and see if it defaults to the huawei layout for lack of better info.

it worked!
but now there is a resolution problem:

Totally forgot about the framework file it wouldn't have worked without it.
no clue really on how to fix the resolution tho, my guess is that it should be somewhere in the xml files contained in the layout folder of suquashi.apk
