I've been trying for a couple days of trying to get the standard honeycomb lockscreen on to the flyer running HC. I've tried deleting the htclockscreen.apk (Makes you have no lockscreen and unlocking requires a bit of hide an seek), I've tried googleing multiple times and I've come up with now, and I've tried asking around here and there.
Would anyone know how to get to standard HC lockscreen on our device?

I installed the virus rom (which rules by the way) but there are a couple widgets that are no longer available after installing this rom.
How can I install the stock widgets that came with the phone without reverting back to a different rom?
For example; I would like to use the favorites widget and it is no longer available....the facebook friend stream is also not available....
Any suggestions? Can I just re-download the apk files somewhere and re-install them?
thanks
foos
i believe VirusRom is a senseless rom. meaning that the sense launcher(rosie) and almost everythign to do with sense has been taken out. in order to use any of the sense widgets, you would need to have rosie installed. i believe virusrom has a sense version. if you look in the VirusRom thread, i think its in the second post.

If I could just get favorites back I would be happy. I went through the rosie settings and don't see it in there.
thanks
Anyone know where I can get the completly vanilla stock honeycomb apks, I mean things like the launcher, lock screen and such.
I'm trying to de-sense my honeycomb view, I'd like all stock honeycomb, but I'm having a hell of a time finding them.
Look for system dumps from the motorola Xoom or something similar that is AOSP HC.
That's what I've been doing.. So far I got rid of all of Sense but the Sense lock screen. Whenever I delete HtcLockScreen.apk I have no way to login because it appears as if there is no lock screen at that point, not even the default.
Wonder if there is something else I need to do..
Hmm, if you get it all together let me know and I can make a script to de-sensify it and add all honeycomb crap using adb from recovery.
Yes you can find all the stock Honeycomb apps in a Motorola Xoom rom. Everything should work without glitches except the settings, browser, and lockscreen. To get the browser working you need to delete some kind of log (I don't remember which, but if you logcat you'll be able to see it). I found yet a way to get the Honeycomb settings, and a solution to the lockscreen problem. I suspect HTC took that aspect out. You can buy Ripple lock from the market if you really wish to have something similar to that experience.

You do realize there is no such thing as a functional truly AOSP ROM don't you?
You want to build a vanilla ICS ROM, here's a tutorial. Oh, you might notice, some key items from the OEM (HTC) are missing... Like I said, there's no such thing as a AOSP without the OEM. But it's a good learning experience. If it were as simple as just compiling Google source there would be a million vanilla ROMs out there now. It's not that simple.

Does anyone know a way to change the default Samsung lockscreen to a stock ICS look without using a secondary lockscreen app like WidgetLocker or Go Locker?
I have been using WidgetLocker for the past couple of days, and have ran into a couple of problems. First of all, it doesn't play well with Juice Defender, if I disable the stock lockscreen. Juice Defender believes the phone is unlocked and continues to keep data/wifi enabled. If I leave the stock lockscreen enabled, and the "Retain System Keyguard" on, Juice Defender disables data/wifi correctly, but about 25% of the time, I have to unlock the phone twice to get back to my homescreen.
Obviously, replacing the Samsung lockscreen with a stock ICS one would solve all of these problems. I found this over on the S2 forum. Would this work, or does it need a custom ROM to work? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538828

Wow, thanks! Going to try this out now.
I seem to have a little issue with the lockscreen on ICS. I'm currently using the mainly stock, but rooted ICS rom. On the lockscreen, whenever i set it to any security lock other than "Slide," I can no longer see the music player or any notifications from the convenience of the lockscreen. On the Jellybean rom (CM10) I tried there was an option to 'Show Widgets on Lockscreen" which overcame this problem. Now I'm pretty sure Samsung in all their infinite wisdom could not have possibly programmed TouchWiz to do this lockscreen BS. Is there anyway I can set it to a more default ICS lockscreen look, where I can see notifications, and maybe have some shortcuts on the lockscreen?
Forget using that stupid pattern lockscreen. It will protect you about as much as a broken condom in Africa. Seriously there are only 362,880 patterns possible and any crap laptop could bruteforce that small of a number in no time at all. Besides if i steal your phone i don't care about your data, im just going to wipe the device from recovery and sell it. If its a girlfriend you need to keep out then there are ways of hiding everything incriminating using a few choice apps without locking the phone which ALWAYS makes girls suspicious.
But seriously, you either want your device locked or not. No one is going to make a security lockscreen that displays personal info. That's insane.
I've tried Galaxy locker but that doesn't seem to do the trick.. I want the lockscreen, I just want to change the background. I also tried the framework-res.apk (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600450) solution to getting custom pictures for lockscreen wallpapers but when I went to res/images/ I didn't see "wallpaper" I just saw "charger" If anyone could help, it would mean a lot! I'm on 13.3.2.6 and am also rooted.
