O.O
Really annoying can't take the phone out,it has been over 14 days, and there were even not a temporary solution for NEO(ARC users are lucky~)。
Someone says it's beacause the devs are not paying enough attention to this problem,so i was thinking,if we raise this issue, can more devs participate in this fixing project?

it might be rom prob just install any custom rom from the p500 thread and enjoy .there is nothing great in stock firmware if need help just read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038338
just root install custom recovery and off you go
Try charging the phone to 100% and removing and reconnecting the charger for few times. Then reflash the same ROM. This is why they say charge the battery to 100% before flashing a new KDZ ROM.
which rom do u suggest???

Man u are so funny. They say to charge 100% so that your phone doesn't drain while updating. Nothing to do with after update drain.
I suggest flash once again if u want to stay stock.

Can someone list out the major bugs in CM7 2.3.3 for P500?? Also, P500 is not officially supported by CM7, right?

I am using Nessy #Fenice and I think it is a very good rom.
As noted by the rom creator, it has very low battery drain and I can successfully OC at 806mhz without any instability. You may give it a try.

Thank you. Now I will clear my point. Flashing through KDZ erases battery stats saved on the phone. If the battery is not fully charged, the new starting level would be messed up. Btw, technically the phone can not drain the battery while updating bcoz its connected to usb port.

I'd say problem with rom, I would suggest not trying CM7 6.3 if youre looking for battery life... better use devoid franco, has some tweaks to make it last a bit longer.
I have used nessy too, it doesnt eat as much battery as CM7, but void was the best battery saver out of the 3

It means that when you flash a rom ideally the battery stats are also wiped and the phone needs to "relearn" battery usage stats, plus phones are notoriously bad at guessing battery percentage above 90%. If you just flashed a rom give it a week or so and it should get better.

In my experience.... sometimes. I know that's vague but I have personally seen my G2 act strangely after restoring a backup and conversely seen it go straight back to regular battery usage. Flashing roms and low level system partitions cause our devices to do some strange things, it is completely expected.

Hi! Yesterday I used this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1194823 - after uploading 2.3.2 Gingerbreak ran. When you press the root device phone began to root. After rebooting your phone's battery was 0%. I tried to remove the battery for 10 minutes but did not help. I also tried to upload the 2.3.4 but it did not help. But when the phone is charging the phone at the phone starts up and runs, but the state still beterii is 0%. When you disconnect the phone immediately turns off.
Help!
Did you have 2.3.4 and you downgraded to 2.3.2 to root? Because if you did that then unfortunately, there is no solution at this time for this particular problem.
I first installed 2.3.2 and then 2.3.4 to zrootować GingerBreak and after the battery is 0%
There's no solution for that YET...
I have this problem too guys. any help out there?

Actually if u hv 2.3.2, firstly flash again using generic 2.3.2 ftf..then root using gingerbreak...finally u upgrade to 2.3.4 via OTA..
ur root still there!!!
but if u hv 2.3.4, then u downgrade to 2.3.2+rooted via gingerbreak...=0% battery problem...NO SOLUTION!!
I have the same problem. 0% battery. Pleaseeeeee solve this problem ASAP. Need to use that phone.

I don't think so, because actually the battery is 100% before. Then it became 0% after downgrading. But at least give it a try. Someone?
I think the downgrading process draines the battery.

Its hardware problem.

What?
Downgrading corrupts the hardware?
Or the hardware is incompatible with the downgraded version which it was already working fine before the update?
Or do the 2.3.4 update changes the hardware?
What can it be?

GREAT NEWS!!!
Official solution to 0% battery problem will be released along with next major upgrade, probably the android 4.0 firmware. There might be another firmware before 4.0.
The developer (or director of testing, whoever he is), cannot release the official patch himself. However, thanks to the open source of android, he can hand over this work unofficially to a third party dev to develop an unofficial patch. This patch is gonna arrive probably on this weekend. So please be patient.
The patch is gonna be based on 4.0.1.A.0.283, probably 4.0.2.xxx as well.
This patch is unofficial, and volunteer work, so he will not be responsible to any consequence. Use it at your own risk!

I have the same except that my turn off near 52%. After first turn off the phone do the same at every next 5%(47%, 42%, ....).
What date you have on the battery?
I have two batteries:
1. 10W37 (withstands up to 41%)
2. 10W29 (withstands up to 52%)
I think it is obviously the battery fault. That is its use and had to buy a new one. I`m waiting now for the package. The battery with date 11W09. I will check for new one and I will know you if everything ok.
Subscribe please if someone had a similar problem with BST-41 10Wxx series.

Looking for some advice on a problem I have with my Xperia Ray.
I recently lost my original Xperia ray which I had no problems with but the new one I was sent by Orange seems to have a fault.
The problem is the battery life shows %100 charged after only a few minutes charging. After charging, it stays stuck at %100 until the battery runs out so I never know how much battery life i have left.
Can anyone offer any solutions?

Here's what you do:
1) Flash .587 fw.
2) Flash new kernel.
3) Flash ROM.
4) Reboot.
Reason for this problem is not yet confirmed, but this happens after a battery pullout.

Try to flash a new kernel which is compatible with your rom
For unlocked bootloader user, flash new kernel should do the job.
For locked bootloader, flash stock firmware is the option. Else, contact Sony.
Thanks..its working 100 %
