[Q] Bluetooth Pairing with headset - never asks for a PIN - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

I have been trying to pair with my handsfree in my car. I see the device, and when I go to pair, it fails saying "Incorrect Passcode", but it never asks me to enter the passcode (which is 1234).
I have paired this handsfree on many other devices no problem. For some reason the SGS2 just isn't prompting me for the passcode.
I have tried clearing data from the Bluetooth Apps and still the same thing...
Anyone know what else I can try?

Figured this one out.
The handsfree just needed a reset. (Just in case anyone else runs into this.)
Thanks

Bluetooth Pairing Issue and DCD 3.1.2?

My Sprint Mogul has the DCD 3.1.2 w/3.39 Radio Rom on it. I just purchased a NoziFree H-1 Beetle (Hearing aid compatable) bluetooth headset (http://www.soundclarity.com/productdetail.asp_Q_id_E_882).
I'm able to get the devices to see each other, but as soon as i move out of of range of the other, plug in the headset to charge or just turn the headset off the devices do not automatically pair back up. I have to delete the Beetle from the bluetooth screen then run through Add New Devices...
When pairing, i'm never prompted for the 4 digit passkey that both the sprint manual and the Beetle manual say is a nessisary step.
Now once they are paired they work great until one of the above situations occur. For fellowing t-coil hearing aid users i HIGHLY recommend this thing!
Under Comm Manager i have the following options for bluetooth checked:
Devices Tab: Shows H-1 Bettle (if i go to partnership settings it has Hands Free checked)
Mode Tab: Turn on Bluetooth & Make this device visible to other devices
COM Ports Tab: Blank
Security Tab: Authentication (Passkey) required
I really think i'm just missing something, i'm also thinking of upgrading to the latest Radio/DCD if that may help, but i didnt' see anything in the change logs for Bluetooth. i just thought i'd ask here first before i call Sprint/NoziFree about it.
Got it
I did a soft reset of my phone and power cycled the Headset and when i ran through the pairing it prompted to enter the passcode. So i did and the devices worked together fine.
I decided to update to the latest Radio Rom and DCD Rom, after doing that i re-paired the devices together but was never prompted for the passcode. Yet everything is working they resync successfully.
Is this to be expected? I'm not familure with how bluetooth works if it's done at the hardware level or software, cause if it was software i would think wiping/upgrading a Rom would force the two devices to have to restablish connection?

[Q] How do I get Bluetooth to connect automatically?

Running ICScrewed 2.0.1 and I've been running into a problem over the last few roms I've flashed where my Bluetooth doesn't auto connect.
I have a Jabra Cruzer 2 bluetooth speaker in my car that I've paired with my phone. Tasker is setup to start a menu system when the bluetooth connection is established....but it never happens. I have to go into the BT menu and press on the Jabra device to make it connect. By default it shows "Paired" so I press it and it changes to "Connected".
I know when I had UnNamed previously it was auto connecting everytime I would jump in my car and hit the connect button on the Jabra. It hasn't worked that way since I've gone away from UnNamed. I even tried going back to it and now it doesn't work.
I've checked the Jabra and there's nothing to the settings so I'm 99% sure it has nothing to do with the device.
Does anyone know of a place to tell it auto connect when detected?
Followup question,
I also can't get phone calls to go over the bluetooth device either. Is there special place to look to make sure calls go over bluetooth by default?
Thanks everyone for your responses.
You may have to re pair the device. Did you restore bt pairings when you changed ROMs? That can cause no end to problems, especially when they are different bases.
I have the same Jabra and it connects every time I press the talk/end button on the unit.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using XDA App
I may have somewhere along the line Titaniumed the BT pairing back. But my most recent flash of ICScrewed was preceded by wiping dalvick, clear cache partition, and wipe before installing full. So I'm not sure how anything would have come over unless there was a folder somewhere with bad data.
Is there a folder I should clear out and pair from scratch?

SGSII and bluetooth

I have a weird problem with my SGSII. If i connect my phone to my car bluetooth with the car charger, it stay connected for as long as I am in the car. If however i connect to the car on battery, once the screen turns off I lose bluetooth connect. I have tried changing the screen time and that didn't work, I also tried making my bluetooth visable always and that also didn't work. Can't understand why it only happens while on battery.
Any suggestions?
I have the same issue with bluetooth on my SII.
Whenever the screen is asleep bluetooth devices will not connect, I have to turn the screen on to allow the devices to connect.
I've setup auto pairing in the linkkeys file which works fine if the screen is on (so no prompts to pair devices, just works).
The main device I want to use is a liveview, which I understand has problems, but I've tested other devices and the phone seems to be at fault.
It can't be designed that bluetooth will only connect if your using your phone, kinda defeats the purpose of most bt devices.
tried making my phone always visible, and even tried disabling the lock screens.
using CM7 stable, and a fix would be highly appreciated!
Hmmm.... I don't have that problem.
Maybe some weird power save option?
that's what I was thinking, but I've not been able to find any settings on the phone or through google.
I've just updated to the latest cm7 nightly and the problem seems to be the same. It has an addition bluetooth setting called 'Fast Connections' but this doesn't seem to change anything.
The only other thing I've noticed is that the linkkeys file that I edited to allow the liveview to auto pair (without me having to pull down the notification bar nad authorise it) seems to keep re-editing the file so the phone prompts to pair, so I'm assuming now that's the issue rather than a power thing, so how to prevent that?

[Help] Cannot pair bluetooth device with phone

Hello guys, i tried to search for simmilar thread but unsuccessfully.
I have a weird problem i would like to try reasolving without factory reset, which is known to work.
I have Android 5.1 or 5.1.1 device (more of them, this problem occurs only on this specific OS versions, on brands: Sansung, Lenovo, Evolveo) where i use bluetooth device.
Device was paired prior to this problem, and then unpaired.
This is when problems started. When I try to pair device again, popup for entering pin is showed, but afer, like, one second later it is "cancelled" and there is toast message shown with text: Couldn't pair to xxx because of an incorrect PIN or Passkey. I tried to delete cache and data of Bluetooth and Bluetooth share, but without any success with pairing. This all looks like Android has somewhere stored previous PIN and tries to use it once again although new pairing was initiated. Only known functional solution to me is factory reset, which, as i mentioned, i would love to avoid.
Is there any chance to solve this issue?
I can provide logs if necessary.
Thanks in advance
EDIT:
Investigation proved that this issue was caused by Google Play services. Stopping this service allows pairing to be completed without problem... Investigating even further

Change android admin - user profiles

Good evening,
I have a Cubot Nova with Android 8.1.0. I recently bought a car stereo with bluetooth and I wanted to connect my phone with it. I paired them and it worked when I played a video from YouTube. But for calls, either normal calls or whatsapp calls, it didn't work. The voice came through the phone, not from the car speakers. I found out that this only happens when I use my second profile account. In the admin account everything works fine. But the thing is that I use mainly the other account and I can't change the admin account from settings. The only way is by factory reset. I don't want to do that, and so I read somewhere that there is a way to do that if the phone is rooted. So I tried to root it, but when I went to unlock the bootloader, it told me that it would cause a factory reset, exactly what I wanted to avoid. So my question is, do you know any other way to fix my bluetooth problem? Can I make the second account admin without a factory reset? Thank you all in advance!
