It'll be great a few evo roms have beats on them , even the Sense 3.5 going from 3.0 to 3.5 is a nice upgrade.
I agree, it really is. I just wish the phone actually came with Sense 3.5 -.- but her, more dev support at least.

Well I plan on getting the Amaze on the 12th when it comes out and I would be interested in testing. I have had a HD2 for over a year now and have loaded and tested almost ever ROM out there. If you need a beta tester just let me know

No one really knows completely since there have been no real announcements.
I actually think the sense 3.5 we have been seeing is a bliss specific rom kinda like mysense on thr mytouch phones.

if it'll be ready...for some reason my phone hangs at the splash screen when trying to get into recovery from bootloader menu...
and I cant find my micro sd card converter...gonna have to use my evo 4g to get a recovery on my sd card...ugh pain in my ass

We don't have anyone to get leaks for us anymore. So we're going to have to wait for an official release or a port from another phone, unless we get really lucky and a big leak happens.

I myself getting extremely DISAPPOINTED in HTC! It would be nice if we can officially get everything vs all leaks where we are relying on the hard working dev's to make heads and tales of the stuff. When they fall short people get pissed at them. When its HTC that is falling in the dark, not really caring about the customer. Coming out with absolutely great phones, or even compare to others. Every phone they coming out with is kind of same specs, except going lower and same design. They need to keep up with the never ending technology like others. And keep our existing higher end phones up to date, with much as possible. Our phones can handle sense 3.5+, ICS. & If they can't give us that, AT LEAST give us the RESPECT of releasing the code like it was meant for so, OUR hard working dev's can pick up there slack, so everyone else can give our dev's some slack.

i will use it for sure my wife got that ui in her phone and i like it besides i change roms some times and a lot of users to, nobody uses sense in O1 because we just dont get one who works properly or you will see how many downloads will get by ,the way exclente work just for making it boot...

I deleted the phone app so that it would stop being annoying, although knowing that it would stop data from ever working.. lol.

I couldn't get wifi or data working and sd card won't mount for the life of it.
I got wifi very very very close to working. It would turn on but won't connect to anything, and from there on disconnects.
Let me know if you guys want to talk. we could get on irc or something to figure this stuff out.
Once Sense is fully running on the LG Optimus One, I will flash it
(just love the Sense feel on this Espresso )

I gave up on my last WIP, it was almost impossible for me because it was a port that was made for the sensation, so I was porting a port..... -_-, so I have started again this time with the One V, So far I'm just putting all the info in the build prob for the amaze, I will post all my achievements in this post,

Now I'm about as big a novice as you can get, but wouldn't it be still simpler to work with the straight One S RUU instead of porting a port? And wouldn't it be harder to port from the One V RUU due to the difference in screen size and CPU type (single core vs. dual core)?

Nope because screen size isn't that important, The One V is simpler than The One S or X, The cores doesn't matter because ICS supports Dual Core

What makes the Ville C2 superior to the Sensation? I thought the Sensation has the closest hardware specs, and judging by the number of projects, it seems to have a more vibrant and active developer base. Please elaborate.
Senstaion is older htc ville c2 is the closest hardware and most sense ports here are from htc one execpt htc radar its mostly the same i dont know why dont we port from there and i posted this before and posting it again our hardware is APQ8060 but on here it is written we have got a msm8260 i dont know why

I have ported from the VilleC2, Sensation, and Shooteru (GSM EVO 3D).
I would say the Sensation is the easiest to port from because it is literally the Amaze but with less RAM. Second comes the EVO 3D because it's also very similar to the Amaze, it's also ICS and Sense 3.6 based like the Sensation.
The VilleC2 is good as well, but software-wise it's not as similar ad the other ones. Now that we have a 3.4 kernel we'll see how this turns out.
Don't bother fussing over the processor, these phones are pretty similar hardware wise as well, the VilleC2 has the edge here because it was updated by HTC. All of them are dual core.
There is another phone to port from, the Totem (HTC ONE VX). I'll probably port something from here later on.

now that we have 3.4 kernel this doesn't mean start new rom porting, please consider contributing to exsisting project by chevy called black russian once we fix all stuff on that rom, it will be much easier to port rest of the roms from villec2 and sensation.

If you read through the threads you'll see that @SuperAfnan is already well plugged-in.to the project. They have a history of cooperation that long precedes the release of this ROM.

Are you sure bout that. I'm pretty sure I seen a sense based miui for sensation on Google.

i'm sorry If I sounded rude on previous posts I edited the posts just incase, yea probably you should work miui ics v4 sense based it will be alot easier for now!
after we get all the stuff working on black russian sense rom we can try porting miui v5 jellybean sense based from VilleC2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249903

i agree with this..reason we didnt release our own roms...black russian has all the base portings according to kernel..the main reason i released this cuz so everyone can contribute toward getting the fixes done more quickly..once we get a stable build..then everyone can start sense 5 or any porting..just not now or else every rom will be broken and incomplete..

I'll second that. The kernel still needs some tweaks. And Ravike and I were hoping that a fresh set of eyes on this would help get us past some hurdles.
There's a lot of editing that's going to need to be done on a few things.
We used the totem because the mounting worked the best. Once we better at working with the vold files and can manipulate them perfectly with the other roms we might rebase the Rom.
But for now, this is a good start.
