[Q] Status Bar - Motorola Photon 4G

Hey guys, just got my MoPho in the mail, and I'm really liking it, except for the butt ugly status bar icons.
The device is rooted, so, can anyone steer me in the general direction of notification bar mods? Thanks all.

Indeed, you can use UOT kitchen to make a lot of modifications. I've done it while on stock ROM. In the end, I wound up running Alien ROM, so all those mods I did were sort of just for learning purposes I guess. If you decide to use UOT kitchen, right be for you cook the Zip file, make sure to select "Amend Scripting" and deselect "theme chooser"

[Q] Droid 2 black notification bar

does anyone know a way to make the Droid 2 notification bar black?
I'm running the stock rom and i don't want to flash any other one.
so can anyone help me?
Just use any theme you see here with a black notification bar... or do a search for black notification bar.... searching is key

I found a theme.....but do all notification bar themes work on any phone?
Crap didn't mean to thank you for that post.
All themes under droid 2 themes and apps should work as long as they are made for your rom
Do you need to be deodexed to apply themes like this?(excluding metamorph and ninjamorph)
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App
I don't think you necessarily have to be, but it is recommended.
Completely wrong
You need to be deodexed or flashing themes will FAIL.
I would just recommend using fission and then flashing a theme over fission. Fission has tons of features and themes and you'll like your phone much better after that. Any custom rom is deodexed though so it should work with any rom.

I said what I said because I had read that there were some deodexed themes. Not sure how true that is though, as being that I've never actually tried looking for any.
thanks for the tip.
i just flashed Fission with the black theme, works fine and is amazing
thx again
I'm not sure what deodexed means. Does this mean I can't change the notification bar theme on stock rom?

Anyone?

U have to run a custom rom to change the color to black for example: liberty 2.0.1

Old thread. I did it using metamorph and am now on liberty 2.0.1. Thanks though

If you're running the D2's stock ROM, they your most likely ODEXED. As they said before, install any custom ROM and you'll then be DEODEXED. Hope this helps...

I have been wondering this same thing, and after some research and googling I found a very simple solution. Locate my post titled "Theme Kitchen" and go to the link provided. It is a theme kitchen, it has instructions included on how to do everything.

Translucent notification bar for GB?

I did some googling but the few solutions I found did not work, does anyone know a good mod or app to make the notification bar translucent on GB roms? Specifically I am on Simply Honey 5.0. Metamorph or otherwise?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the advice, I went there and was eventually able to make a pretty decent themed pulldown menu, but the only thing that didn't change was the top bar even though it was right in the example it showed before I finished it. I tried a few more but everytime the bar was the only thing that wouldn't change.
Oh well, I just can't seem to work this thing out. Thanks anyways!

decompile the apk, I think its systemui.apk and then modify the status bar and then recompile it

I upload my roms apk's that uot kitchen asks for. It will be systemui.apk, htc.resource.apk and framework-res.apk.
Right now I have androdian status bar, miui status bar icons and custon battery. Before miui icons I had blue sense 3d icons.

[Q]No Notification bar clock

Is there anyway to hide the notification bar clock using an UOT type kitchen file or EDT tweaks app?
How much is it worth to you? Cause the answer is yes, it can be done. Though it's going to take more than a few steps. But hey, learning is fun, right?

any chance you would be willing to do one for the Blue Monkey for UnNamed 1.3.1 ROM?
Sorry I just dont have a lot of extra time to do it myself. We have a ton of other clocks that are on the screens (lock screens, widgets, ect) and I just find it un-necessary clutter to having the same info in more than one place on your screen (for example running Beautiful widgets on the main screen as well as having the Notification bar clock). I would be forever in your debt!!!

Transparent Status Bar on CM9

Well, as the topic states, I'm running CM9 on my DX2 and I would like to have a transparent status bar. Does anyone know how hard, if it is at all possible to implement on ICS. And if it is, is there a solution to this issue or if there is not, how I would even begin to go about it? Any help is appreciated.
TIA,
Matt (syn-ack on freenode)
