Anyone else having issues saving pictures? The phone pretty much freezes up and long pressing the picture does nothing , I had the same issue with my launch day evo 3d, issue occurring again with this replacement

Am I the only one having bad luck with evo's?

Are you rooted?
Completely stock, both times

They wiped my phone about a month ago because I was having issues with it (phone freezing up when trying to text if there was a picture present in any thread), still can't save any pictures the normal way. I save them using backup to gmail, but I shouldn't have to employ some workaround to do so. I wish they would give me a fresh phone or a different one

Does your camera freeze? It's happened to me like 5 times already. I would take a picture and it would just freeze on the picture I had just taken and it won't let me go back to take another pic. Is annoying.

I have had the same problem.hope a firmware update fixes this or would you recommend something like vignette?
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
I like using the camera app it comes with but maybe vignette won't freeze

Happens to me all the time, it is really annoying.

Vignette freezes too.

Happens to me all the time too, it is definitely my number one gripe with the phone as is, closely followed by the charging port.
Same here, defaulting the camera settings through the menu fixed it for a bit but it freezes again after a while.
Yeah a deer walked within 10 feet of me when I was walking thru the park today... Just stood there looking at me.. I go take a pic and it froze on me... I took 1 pic and it was crappy and tried taken 5 more and froze.. by the time i fixed it hr was gone... I was not too happy!

Quite frequently, too.
I've noticed a few times on my week old phone that the screen isn't shutting off when I'm on a call. No root or unlock, should I exchange it, is this common out some setting? Also when I'm in my email I can see the first few sentences of the email body but when I open the email nothing is there?

Did you recently install a new screen protector? Sometimes that can be the problem
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
No it literally is bone stock, even the sticker on the back is still on it...
Well I have go launcher installed

I've noticed that my XDA app on the Galaxy S3 (ATT) is eating up alot of battery. Ate almost 40 minutes of CPU. One time when I went into task mananger, it showed high CPU usage and I wasn't even using it for a while (so it was idle). I also noticed this with the Engadget app.
Anyone notice anything similar? Just seems like they should be sleeping and not using CPU in the background...
Try reinstalling them. I haven't had this problem with either :/
See attached. My screen has been on about an hour and xda for 50 min.

And this is it just running in the background.

All I can think of is to reinstall. It shouldn't be doing this obviously
I've uninstalled and reinstalled before those screenshots.

Well no idea then, sorry. You could force stop them when you aren't using them.

i'm having the same issue. att sgs3 completely stock never flashed rooted or odined. my phone also seems to stutter and lag a bit more than i was lead to believe it would but i really only started to notice it after installing xda.
i have been using the xda app quite a bit today but an app doubling the screen in battery drain just seems wrong.
xda app cpu times:
total: 2h30m
foreground: 55m
i'm thinking about flashing the stock firmware odin package....... but i'm also thinking about trading in my blue for a white and i think the obvious lag stutter problem might help me avoid restocking fees.
oh what to do?
so no one else is having this problem? just us two?
I'm having this problem as well. I had 90% when I went to bed. 6 hours or so later when I woke up I had 50% left :/

I have also been having this problem since my s2. You can see in the task manager its running about 10 pct in the background. Never found a way to stop this apart from manually closing the app in its settings or force close.
I have been having the exact same issue with my XDA app. It just sucks the battery, using 20-35% on average. This is very odd as I have never had a problem with the xda app before. This is an app issue, hopefully they will update this.

Yea I'm having the same issue as well

I also have this problem. I've been manually fcing the app. I assumed it was due to the app trying to serve adds. But I don't really know

Guys, I've had a little better luck...at least its not killing the CPU total (was above 20% before on idle). I've disabled notifications in the settings and I've also disabled the 2 listeners using AutoRun manager.
Does anyone here who is experiencing xda app battery drain have a rooted device with an ad blocker? I have never had this issue with the xda app and the only thing that has changed other than the phone is not being rooted /ad free. My guess is ads are somehow causing this problem.

Have you tried changing the Settings / Notifications/Receive Notification/How often to check
I put never(or Uncheck Receive Notification) and That helps out allot
Has anyone else experienced text distortion such as in my screen shot? I get it mostly in the Web browser(using Chrome but have seen it on dolphin browser) also in certain apps like my greater bacon reader and once in just a menu. I am on mean ROM 1.4 but have seen this since day one occasionally.
Wondering if it is my phone or a software bug?

That is not even the worst I have seen it I'll post another screenie if I get it again tonite

Of all the apps on the SGS3 the phone and Contacts always seem to lag/take longer than expected opening up.
All other apps open instantly! This is kind of surprising since its a core app and you expect it to work instantly!
I'm on stock ROM of course.
What about you guys?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
I feel that the contacts app has always been a problem on Samsung phones.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I see the same problem. Got tired and switched to exDialer.
It's really surprising as it sticks out like a sore thumb when everything else flies!

Try foxhound 1.4.3 Rom which is the best rom I have tried so far. There is no lag in opening contacts which was there in most Rom,lag was even there in stock rom.
Try it and you won't regret.
