[Q] Calendar default event editor - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am using Calendar Pad pro for my default calendar. This app has its own event editor which I really like.
However, when an event reminder appears in my notification bar and I choose to edit this, I get the stock event editor, which I don't want. Does anyone know how to change this to my calendar pad pro editor ?
Sander.

[Q] Email notifications with different Launcher

Hi all - first post so i hope it a relatively decent question. Did have a search but couldnt find anything related to this particular issue on this phone.
I have an unrooted S2 and i would like to use another Launcher.
My problem is that i cannot seem to find and App or Launcher or anything that can alert me of unread emails.
I have tried 'missed it' and executive assistant but to no avail.
Missed it works for calls and SMS but not email.
I should add that i am not using G mail but using the built in samsung email App with two accounts (1 POP and 1 Exchange).
If i receive an email using the default launcher and open the app drawer there is an email icon which displays the unread count in a red bubble. So if i add this icon to desktop or to the dock i can see unread mails.
If i am using Launcher Pro for example this icon is not in my app drawer or anywhere that i can find it. In stead there is exactly the same icon in the drawer but this does not display the unread count.
I am assuming that this is a semi sansung widget (although i cannot add it to desktop as a widget even in the standard launcher).
I have also tried using the social hub with launcher pro (and Go launcher and ADW) but again i get no notifications.
I still get the notifications in the notification bar no matter what launcher i use but these dissapear after a while.
This is currently the only thing stopping me using a different Launcher and it would be great if anyone had any ways around this.
Unfortunately i cannot and dont really want to forward my emails to Gmail.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Nath

Change default action of a notification, ie calendar?

Is there a way to change the action of selecting a notification - ie a Calendar notification in the status bar - if I select it, it will open the item in the Android Calendar - however I would like it to open a different calendar app - Business Calendar in this case.
Thanks,
Nope. You'll have to disable the default calendar notifications and have the other app notify.
Sent from my SGS II
I was afraid of that... yeah the "other" calendar app (Business Calendar) uses the Android Calendar for notifications, and doesn't have it's own notification system. Hopefully the dev will update the app soon.

[Q] Minimal, configurable, email and SMS widgets, compatible with K-9

I'm trying to set up my homescreen with minimal icons and text based widgets. The idea is to get all the at a glance information I want on one screen, without any ugly inconsistent widget backgrounds.
Android Agenda widget is customisable enough to let me do that for my calendar, but I'd like to do the same for my recent emails (ideally in my K-9 unified inbox) and SMSes. Something that will just show the sender and subject line/first few words, white text on a transparent background (or configurable so I can get it looking like that).
Does anyone have any recommendations? Is this something I could do through tasker or locale: take the notifications from my SMS and email and output them as text in a widget? If it is, how would I go about that?

Looking for GMail widget showing specific messages

Can someone recommend me a widget to display a list of GMail messages selected not by a label, but by a search parameters like "all messages having $$$ in the subject"?
Thanks.
Create a filter in gmail to add a label specific to what you just said. Use that label in your widget. Done.
