Mine installed fine BUT I noticed that it put some music that has "Greatest Hits" in title in one group. A big problem for me, going from one norm to the next just about scared the crap outta me thanks to the loud guitar riff in the beginning.

I just assumed that was what it would take. I saw after I deleted the original that it was gone, and the new one didn't replace it, so I just restarted.

Madden NFL 12 Free Oct 1-3

Found this on slickdeals, Madden NFL 12 is free starting tommorow for 3 days only:
http://www.starstarmadden.com/
Some people on the slickdeal thread were mentioning that you had to have vcast installed to get the free game, which some of our roms have removed...
Sweet, could we download the app from the Market? Or off the VZW site?
Do you think it would matter if you had it or not since you have to call them?

Again, I think it does check if vcast is installed, which Eclipse .7 does not. Droid X2 2.2 is listed at the bottom of the page. I was going to sbf soon anyhow, so I'll try and see if that does the trick.

After I SBF'd back to Froyo it went to the download page rather than the 'not compatible' page.
That's fing stupid. Verizon needs to get its **** together. Every Dx2 should be running 2.3 now. I guess ill sbf back just to download this thing. Man alot of work for a free app ya know.

Can some one put the .apk up on media fire or something? Be easier than sbfing!

I had no problem from eclipse 7 but the game sucks and comes with VZW spyware. Had an interesting folder called "red laser" show up with some interesting scripts inside. Didn't look into them at all though.

Music not working

So I put in my old SD card from my og Droid and plugged up to the computer and copy it onto my internal storage and when I rebooted and played it in Google music it says error playing requested track. /:

Same thing happened to me when I copied everything to a new sdcard. Takes a while to find it. Strangely enough, I used the stock music app to play a couple tracks & that seemed to "teach" Google music where to look. Had the same thing on the stock gallery after I used SdMaid to clean some app caches. I accidentally cleaned the thumbs in the moto gallery & couldn't get em back til I pulled & installed the aosp gallery from my eclipse zip. Once the aosp gallery loaded the thumbs, they showed back up in the stock gallery too. Weird...

Try to wipe the app cache & data. And maybe dalvik cache in bsr. You can also run fix permissions in rom manager, it's one of the few things that work for us.

I recommend using the guide found here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1315711
So, I assume you've used Pete's Rooting Tool, with that said, am I assuming correctly that, this tool is what said you were successfully rooted?
Also, what launcher are you running on your DX2? Some launchers give you the ability to hide apps in the app drawer and perhaps that app is hidden. A better way to check for this app would be to go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> "All Tab" -> Scroll and look for Superuser
I'd also give it another shot. Make sure you pay close attention to the steps provided, sometimes it's easy to miss one of the steps. If you're still having problems, post back some of the things you've checked and we can continue to help you troubleshoot the issue.
Using Petes one click I was never successfully rooted even tho on the computer screen it says I was successfully rooted.
The one thing I noticed while using Petes one click is that my phone is only rebooted once during the whole process. Also I'm running adw ex and the apps aren't hidden.

Try the new zerg method in the 2.3.5 leak post. It works pretty smooth although the petes one shouldwork for ya.

[MOD] CM7 Beats Audio + ALSA + AudioFXwidget

First off this is not my mod all thanks go to Lovetz whose thread I will link and Rockodev and Contradictor who he credits there. Recently I went back to CM7 because of stability issues with the DX2 CM9 ROMS. Once back I started having problems with DSP Manager fc'ing just like I remember. Decided to look for a fix or alternative and found this... IT WORKS GREAT!!!! imho.
As always neither myself or anyone other than YOU are responsible should you mess up your phone, especially if you don't NANDROID BACKUP!!!!!!
1. Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653140
2. Download the required files referred to in the OP.
3. I used File Explorer to rename DSPManger.apk to DSPManager.apk.old to disable it.
4. Boot into our recovery.
5. MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE YOU FLASH THE ZIP FILE!!!
6. Flash the zip file downloaded from the above link. (I did not do anything other than flash the zip, ie. mount system & mount data referred to in the OP instructions...I think our recovery does that by default)
7. Reboot... I did not wipe anything
8. Install the AudioFXwidget apk (to "open" the widget settings you must do so via the app draw even after installing the widget on a home page)
Enjoy...
I don't play music alot on my X2 but this MOD has made a vast improvement on my X2, clearer, virtually no skipping even with a browser open and surfing
Do you think this may work on the latest Paranoid Android for the DX2?

I wasn't really interested in the beats audio itself. It's just a brand name championed by guys who want to make money, including the creator who got famous for making music where sonic fidelity is the absolute last concern of all involved in production. /rant.
anyhow, I was more interested in the getting rid of audio skips effect of this mod. I hate messing with EQ's and the main benefit of this mod seems to be getting a working EQ/DSP onto ROMs where they aren't.
I'm of the opinion OP may have missed that his beats zip didn't install correctly and played with the EQ til he got sound he liked. This is only because I haven't seen anyone else reporting success on the DX2, which is a sufficiently different beast than the galaxy ace. I don't mean to imply that OP is incompetent or in any way a bad person.
not working
I have tried this on both CM7 and CM9. It is confirmed not working for both. I have sbf'd wiped everything and it doesn't install... Oh well!
The creator of the mod has an app on Google Play that does the work for you. Works fine on my X2 running the latest Eclipse, and it didn't break my DSP manager either.
