hi after i installing streakdroind i just found out the total space is only 8.17gb (dont know the size when its on original OS)
it should be 16gb right?
please help me to explain what happened?

Streak as standard has 2gb Internal Storage, and 16gb External Storage.
Are you confusing external sd for internal?
what i mean is dell streak 7" the tablet not the 5"

Try using this tool from the market:

It's free and will show you what's taking up the space. If you think it should be empty and aren't worried about losing anything, go to settings-sd card and storage and format it. See if that takes care of it.
its not the SD card but the internal storage...
thats why i'm curious about that since dell streak only available on 16gb

The 16gb is external storage. The streak only has a 2gb internal card.

I've got a question...
When I connect the Tab to the PC, all the folders are about 4 GB,
and the Free Space is about 5GB.... so... 9 GB in total
Where are rest of the 16GB of storage?

i have a problem with my Dell Venue 8 3830.
I updated it to android 4.4.2, and after that my sd card doesnt work anymore.:crying:
So i read that i can do the root (and i did this) to undo this issue with some apps like
kit kat sd fixer, sd fix tools, and others...
But nothing works, i tried to change the file platform.xml and reboot, but nothing change.
Please can anyone help me???

Perhaps use a different brand of micro sdcard I use SanDisk Ultra Plus 16GB Class 10 ,no problems on my Dell Venue 8 3830.

I dont think this is related to sd card class....even am using the same class card which used to work smoother before but now it does not detect .... I have a work around here try to put 8GB memory card first it which in my case it works and then I put the 16 GB... I do this when ever I need to read the 16 GB sd card which is manual job.
Am also looking for permanent solution let me know if anyone finds out.
i too got sdcard problem after update. now my tablet keeps on fluctuating between sdcard removed <---> sdcard detected , thus drains all battery by keeping tablet wake.

I don't understand your post, are you using a SanDisk Ultra Plus 16GB micro sdcard or another brand?

Same brand(SanDisk Ultra Plus) same class(class 10)..Am planning to root to super user may be that will help to detect the sd card.
I too get the error message. I used a new sandisk 32gb class 10. I can either pop out the card if I have something pointy around or restart the venue to have it mount the sd card.
I just rooted last night and it happened again this morning. So I'm hoping for a solution or some ideas.

I own a Trio Stealth G4 7" tablet that was bought brand new for me for Christmas. I cannot tell whether it's rooted or not, all I know is that it's all offical.
My problem is that I should have 8GB, 4 for System ROM and 4 for Apps (I think that's how it works), but anyways, I don't even have access to 1GB of internal storage, the 4GB that should be available is listed under SD Card Storage instead of Internal Storage. I have factory reformatted every possible way.
Is there any way to fix this, or do I just need to return it and get a different tablet?

Xiaomi has disabled adoptable storage in MIUI. Only choice to is to use Link2SD Search on XDA.. will find a guide for link2sd
