Hello guys,
I've got a question...
When I connect the Tab to the PC, all the folders are about 4 GB,
and the Free Space is about 5GB.... so... 9 GB in total
Where are rest of the 16GB of storage?

and mostly because it may have 16gb, but then its partitioned into space to install apps, and then the android system, and then finally memory, it actually sounds about right

I recently bought a Star i9220... running android 4.0 and pretty solidly built chinese phone...
It has an odd set up (to me anyway) for storage... it has 512mb internal, 2gb "usb" storage and my 16gb tflash... i have to go to /root/mnt to change what card I'm looking at in file explorer so it seems to have a second tflash card...
now i'm having issues as i've run out of storage on the 2gb memory apparently, and I was wondering if there was a way to move the apps to the sd card (the 16gb one) as when i move them to sd card it appears to be moving them onto the 2gb one...
is there an app i can get for it? I thought imight be able to change it internally but they have these weird cage type things which i can't work out how they are attached over the cards and as i've only had the phone for less than a month i don't want to destroy it... plus the accellerometer is out too....
any help would be much appreciated!!!

and when i install something like games and app´s with data folders from external sd card (8gb) the system cant load the data of app´s.
Only work when a install it from internal memory (2gb) =(

In Galaxy S2 the space was only 2GB.

In my applications manager it shows 8.8GB used out of 2.5GB free, so I would say 11.3GB~ for all your applications on the internal storage
Total space is 11.25 GB. It doesnt have a separate Storage section for apps like the S2 did, They just bundled it all together mate.

hey all iv got CM10 running on my galaxy S, however i do notice that i have a 1.4gig free internal memory and also a 5.7gb free on internal usb and then my SD card.
is there a way i can merge the internal 1.4gig free with the usb drive partition to have a single internal partition and just sd card for external storage?
why did this get moved to the galaxy s2 forum when the question was about a galaxy s, the i9000?

Hello. As the title says i have a very strange problem with my galaxy s3 internal memory. The phone has 16 GB of memory ,11.2 GB usable. Ok, so far so good. When i plug in the phone and i look into the GT-I9300 folder that appears on my computer it says that in "Phone" (aka the internal memory) there are only 2.93 GB of free space. (11,2 GB totally, 2.93 free space, 8.31 GB used space) When i enter the folder "Phone" and i select all the folders -> right click -> Proprieties there are only 1.3 GB of folders (meaning occupied memory). So i ask , where is the rest of my memory? 7GB unreadable?

Hi please can someone help.
My 16 gb s2 has some how managed to partion its internal storage so that there is a 2gb section and a 11gb section. then it decided to install all the apps to the 2gb section which creates all kinds of problems as you can imagine. pleas can you help me fix my problem.
