Not sure if they ever figured out on the i9100 but I would be very interested in putting that Nexus Prime bootanimation onto my Galaxy S II (AT&T), instead of the default AT&T bootlogo. Can we get any help on this?

My latest kernel release includes standard bootanimation support.
Ahh! I noticed this browsing through the development forums today. Is there an explanation on how to go about this? You'll probably tell me its not recommended for a novice huh? Lol. I would like to try though.

I understand how to install the Kernal, what I don't understand is how to change the boot animation.

Hi Guys, i just got the samsung vibrant and it's already rooted with one rom that looks like gingerbread and i want to know what can i do to return to the stock version, and of all the roms that are here available wich one is the best in every aspect???

I know your just having a good time with me, jaja but i just dont want to brick my phone or do something wrong.
so i rooted my samsung galaxy s2 yesterday successfully, and i got titanium backup to freeze bloatware and shiz, but now what else can i do. i see people talking about custom roms but i dont really know what they are or how to install them so if someone could run me down on them that would be great!

So in the 5 hours between posting your question and bumbing your thread, you didn't manage to find out what a custom ROM is and how to install it?

I have been looking through the forms but haven't been able to find any instructions. if a Link can be provided or instructions that would be greatly appreciated. BTW I updated the device to ICS so don't know if there is a different method for ICS and gingerbread.

i have some doubt on whether or not my samsung galaxy sii (korean version: 2.3.6) can upgrade to ICS 4.0 to use in Cambodia.
Now i have already had Odin3 v3.04 and i have had a firm ware already. I9100XWLPO_I9100NEELP4_I9100XXLQ6_NEE\I9100XWLPO_I9100NEELP4_I9100XXLQ6_HOME.tar.md5 where i take it from the hotfile website.
I am not sure yet with the process of rooting. and Can it be rooted to use in My country( Cambodia).
i would like to hearing your response as soon as possible.

Its stuck on the galaxy note screen with the blue bar not filling the screen it like hangs on the last bit then boot loops!
Is there any way I can just revert it all back to normal? any stock kernel or thing I can flash to it? I did manage to get cwm recovery on it I just cant seem to think of anything at the moment. Thanks in advance!!

You didn't perform a backup first? That sucks! Once you get it up and running make sure you make a backup. I don't have the same model as you, but I did a quick search and found this.

I am ignorant and only know english so I can't translate the page. But I'm guessing there is a stock firmware on there somewhere. You'll have to do some searching and find it. Then install it to your phone. I hope that helps!

Ok so now I am in a boot loop after this. It goes to the U+ logo then looks like its loading. The logo flashes and all then 3 min later it reboots lol. Oh man I am so screwed.

this is the only thing I found and its even harder because its in Russian and what not. Im basically effin up the phone -_- lol..
Its just on boot loop and I want it out of that. How hard is it for Samsung to have stock firmware for the phone. when I had my evo there was a RUU file I would run and be done with.

The server that hosts the file is probably powered by a hamster running in a wheel.
MAJOR UPDATE:
I have no idea what I did, I tried updating with like 3 firmwares.. After awhile I entered recovery, got desperate, and hit a random option. Well it ended up reverting my phone back to gingerbread and now I am a happy camper to have my phone back!!!
