Maybe this was already asked, but I can't find any useful thread in the forum...
I've installed the Google voice search app on my Wildfire (stock rom with Android 2.2), but I can't find the Microphone Key on my keyboard.
I've tried to install the Swype keyboard, but the mic key doesn't seem to work.
Any idea on how could enable speech-recognition on my Wildfire?

Since there is no swype keyboard on the cm7 mod , i wanted to knw wich other good keyboards r available preferably swype ones or any other becuz i dun really like the android keyboard in cm7
as for keyboards i'm using swift key, it's not free, but i REALLY like it

download the beta version of swype. its free
Smart keyboard if you're a T9 fan. I type blazingly fast with it.
Else, boring curve typing with swype beta or touchpal curve...

I installed swype using its apk but after i select swype keyboard from settings , wenevr i choose swype keyboard while messaging it force closes saying
" The application Swype (process com.swype.android.inputmethod) has stopped unexpectedly. Please Try Again "
Same happened with Ultra Keyboard also... What to do now... I hate tht standrd android keyboard n mistyp a lot in tht..

Why don't you just simply download and install the latest beta from official swype site. Its way better than which came with stock.Don't be so lazy.

As part of the unveiling of Android 4.2, Google introduced a brand-new input method on the stock Android keyboard called "Gesture Typing." Basically, it's Swype.

I made some Modifications so that it will work properly on the 2012 Xperia phones........
I do not have all xperia Phones so please test ......

Umm... Idk i used to use TouchPay keyboard ...... Try it ?
I always found the stock android keyboard better than sony stock. Now with gesture input its perfect

Well, The English typing/swiping is quite good.
However, Swiping in other language that are not english are not available. It does not even has predictions! Also it does not do multi language predictions at the same time.

Sony keyboard is still better though it is nice that the new 4.2 keyboard works in store on my nexus 7.
That works good on my SXS with French!!

Love this new keyboard!
keyboard works great in chrome, play and talk. its a lot smoother than the galaxy s3 keyboard too
does it support arabic ?

When you type a word that is not in the Keyboard/Phone Dictionary the word shows up in the Top Left of the AUTOCORRECT bar just Tap the word and it will say :Touch again to save then tap the word again and it will save and you press <OK>

I like the stock Samsung one for the 4x3 keyboard, I find the qwerty one is too small and I spend more time correcting spelling mistakes than typing
