[Q] X10 Flashing help, 3G won't work anymore? - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I'm having problems connecting to a 3G network with my X10. I don't want to type an essay because it's probably annoying so here's the main details:
- My X10 was originally an X10a branded to Rogers
- Wanted to get the 2.3 update asap.
- Got impatient so I downloaded a flash tool and firmware.
- Phone changed to X10i and got 2.3 right away.
- 3G doesn't work anymore, I'm assuming because Rogers 3G network doesn't run on X10i models.
- How exactly can I get back to X10a and use 3G again? I'm pretty sure Rogers does have the update available now for my original model.

Fixing your dilemma
First get the right firmware:
X10a_3.0.1.G.0.75_AMERICA-US GENERIC 1233-8200.zip (140.5 MB)

You'll need 7zip free: http://www.7-zip.org/ to unzip it.
I would make a folder for firmware an in that folder i would make a unzipped to folder. Then just copy an past it (Firmware) in the flashtools firmware folder (firmware only Not file with firmware in it)That is on your C: Drive.

DO NOT CLOSE FLASHTOOL UNTIL PHONE IS UP AN RUNNING RIGHT.

You shouldnt have any problems using that Rom. Did u set rogers apn for your 3g to be enabled?

the same thing happened to me! i set the correct APN for Virgin Internet and MMS and yet both do not work... Any solutions?
I'm running DooMLoRD kernel v05 and Wolfbreak's V6g.

Hi Zeus, thanks for the advice, however I get an error message when trying to repair with SEUS. I connect my phone in flash mode, and it says "No software available: There is no software available for your phone yet. Please try again later." I did click the repair button though.
Hi Patrick, I'd figure I'd use your method as a last resort since I'm not really good with that kind of stuff, but I found the solution.

Hi kenectd, try going into settings > wireless & networks > mobile networks > Access point names, and input all the settings that slikk posted in the post above yours.
