So instead of saying it with my own words I'm just gonna quote MIUI @ FB:
Hey guys! I'm back! Sorry to keep you waiting! The devs have taken SGSII into consideration. There's a big chance of MIUI OFFICIAL for SGSII. So if you want your device ported, pls vote, so that we can see what you really want. Thanks!

MIUI ROM:Not sure now, we have to port it one by one
So i guess we didnt get totaly blown off but we wont see a official MIUI port for some time. It's kidna lame that SGSII is getting 2 ports....

its a pitty that a high end phone like the SG2 is getting support by MIUI when its owners can get whatever rom they like due its plenty of features.
But that comment below the official post make me happy that likely we well get MIUI rom soon or late for the Ace.
So keep posting on the official facebook page of MIUI request for the galaxy ace as Im doing right now

Well, the mango phone from ZTE is running with only 4GB of internal memory even though the minimum requirement is 8GB, so I bet the minimum requirements equals recommended specs.

every single thing is possible, problem is are we capable of doing so?
even porting miui or sense rom which is already android to our android phone is still a dream now, so good luck dreaming of getting windows

I second this, though you have to look at what you want out of the rom and go from there.

UnNamed or Serendipidy 8 are the two top from my opinion only. UnNamed support is still ongoing and continues to be improved and tweaked. Serendipidy 8.2 is the last version and the developer has moved on. I have tried both and they are both very similar and either is a great choice.
Try em all.. find out which one YOU like. After all, there is no best, only favorite flavors

The best rom for people that dont read the rules or try roms for themselves is the stock rom.

that's good news...it means that samsung is considering ACE a strong card...that also means that is doing well sales wise... that means that as long as ACE is a good player in mobile business then developers will continue messing with the phone... that means official cyanogen and maybe one day ICS on our ACE!!!!
in the UK the ace is quite popular and they have sold quite a bit especially on three. Its Samsungs highest selling mid range device

I've had mine since Sept. I cannot understand why they are so popular. Low ram, low Res screen, low onboard memory. It will struggle badly for firmware updates and 95% won't get official CM9 or ICS. I bought a ZTE Crescent today. Much cheaper at £99 and already find it much better. ICS being worked on and phone has only been out here two weeks.

To be honest i love my Ace, with stock ROM it can be a bit boring but that's why u gotta love Android the possibilities are endless. I wont compare my device to any other and when i buy my Nexus, the ACE will still be my everyday phone, mainly for its size.
say Galaxy Y in pink, I want my SGA in red.
Btw, check Galaxy Ace Hugo

Have you seen the screen of Wildfire S? It feels like ants having a picnic, you can't see anything clearly.
And Sense is 100x bloatware, it is not in any way faster than SGA, our stock bloaty firmware is much lighter than HTC Sense
And not to mention the battery on that phone is much lower than SGA

S2 is old yet much mor superior for me than others. Note may have higher clock and better resolution but it's just too bulky. The HTC One X didn't put much of a good fight either. It's stuck with almost the same level in my eyes as the GNexus since they have no SDCard support which is really a must for me. As for the Iphone4s it's good and all but it is apple and I despise apple cause theyre closed source and everything needs to be paid and it's really expensive. So yeah SII is good.
yeah about the OP, I have the same question (or at least I think so) Im planning to buy an SII here on the US directly from sammy so its unlocked, I'm wondering if I can put my sim card for the philippines. IMO It will work since my sister's phone bought from the phils worked with a telus sim card. I dont know the case for SII though

I'd want to take it everywhere with me, and yet would feel very uncomfortable about it being in my pockets. I'd have to always think about having a jacket or something to put it in, and then constantly worry about it falling out or getting crushed. I like to at least have the illusion that I am 'free' of my phone....sometimes.

It would be the end for android or maybe not yet since Apple items are expensive
The flipping lawyers would all be flocking to the poor-house or more likely sueing apple to put a stop to such restraint of there lucrative trade.

CM7 will not be on the SGS3 as its Gingerbread based, CM9 will be the likely candidate Dont hold your breath though

Has anyone heard anything on CM9 for the S3 yet??

No. CM7 will not be ported unless you want to port it which makes absolutely no sense at all. The Galaxy S3 is ICS natively and to go back to 2.3 is just silly.
