ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.0 problems - HTC EVO 3D

Hey guys,
my clockworkmod is very bugge (Version 5.0.2.0). When i boot into that, i cant chose something with the power button.
Am I the only one with that problem?
Can i get the old version back?
Bye, skrippi
edit: everything is fine now

You have to use the camera button to choose. The power button functions as the back button.

How to apply update.zip on g2 without keyboard?!

Dear guys,
I have a t-mobile g2 device and as I wanted to apply update.zip is saw that I need a keyboard in the menu to select the option because it doesnt work with trackball.
There are 3 options:
reboot (Home +back)->I can select it since I have that 2 button, but it doesnt work with trackball
apply cdcard:update.zip [alt+S]
wipe data / factory reset[alt+m]
There is also a text down"e: cant open /cache/recovery/command/ but I dont think it matters
Could you help me on how to select it with no alt+s button?
normally it works with trackball. make sure you dont touch the screen while trying to select an option. if it still dont work try another recovery...

anyway there is no touchscreen support in recovery mode (AFAIK)
Some of the buttons move the cursor too, possibly volume down goes down but i cant remember. I use the trackball.
I can move the cursor but the trackball "enter" doesnt work.
"Enter" is the Home button?
no:S i tried every combination ..
i want to do this too! any ideas?
Ohhh god !!!
u can move selection by trackball and press it to enter. NOTHING ELSE my dear friend.
Use volume up and down to move up and down and home to select.
If these don't work your recovery is broken so flash it again using method described in the AmonRA recovery topic.

Tried the volume buttons?
It sounds like you ain't added the recovery ROM????? Your using the stock one provided by HTC/T-Mobile.. or I could be wrong.. probably flash again as already suggested
I think that you are using the g1's recovery so it's for the dream which have a keyboard..

[Q] Clockwork Recovery options only show Hat

Hello,
I searched the forums (even for other devices) and didn't find an aswer.
I installed Rom Manager on my Evo 3D GSM, and it installed the last Clockwork Recovery.
But when I enter in recovery, all options (install from SD, reboot, etc...) show the hat icon and do nothing.
Can anyone help me ?
Thank you.
do you mean all the options disappear showing only the background image when you press the power button to select anything? If so, just keep pressing the volume down key and scroll through the list three times. A prompt should come up saying back menu key disabled? or something. Then your selections should work.
Use the "camera" button to choose your options, not the power button

you have to use photo-shot button instead of power button to accept your choice...
I think what he means is when you start Clockwork and select something out of the first menu, it just shows a blank black screen with the app icon in the middle.
I think I just reflashed my HTC Evo, when I got this error, and it fixed it.

[Q] Cannot select options in ClockworkMod AT&T Galaxy S II

Hey all, I just got a new phone. First off, I'm really confused here... When I boot my phone it says GT-I9100 but according to XDA the AT&T version should be the i777. Please move this post if it is in the incorrect place.
I successfully rooted my phone using Odin, installed ClockworkMod, tried to make a backup before making any changes, but now while in recovery mode I can use the volume buttons to scroll around but cannot select anything from the menu. What button is normally used to select in CWM for the Galaxy S II that has the 4 touch buttons, not the big one in the center?
When I try to reboot my phone or pull the battery I get this:
-- copying media files...
successfully copied media files.
# MANUAL MODE #
--Updating application...
Successfully updated application.
--Applying Multi-CSC...
Can't access to '/system/csc/ATT/system/'.
Succesfully applied multi-CSC
Then the phone is stuck on a "reboot now" screen.
HELP PLEASE!!! Literally just got this phone, please don't tell me it's just an expensive paperweight now!

That's what worked for me.
Thanks for the info guys. It's good to know at least that I'm pushing the right buttons. Now I just need a fix since they're obviously not working. My phone will not boot past this. I'm wondering if anyone else has come across this issue or if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix it?
Have you tried to go back into download mode? If you can then I would get entropy's stock rom and reflash back to stock and try to start over.

Power button will not select options in ClockWorkMod
djbiker24seven, Was this ever resolved?
I'm having a simliar problem. I booted my phone into ClockworkMod 4.0.1.4 to install cyanogenmod and I can navigate just fine using the volume up/down buttons, but the power button will not select anything. If I press one of the soft buttons on the bottom of the phone, the screen just shows a fedora graphic. If i reboot the phone it constantly boots back into Clockwork and I can't break the loop. I can't get back into download mode either.
If anyone has any insight it would be appreciated.
Samsung Galaxy S II for AT&T (SGH-1777)
Home button for enter, Back button for....... well back. If that's not responding try reflashing a CWM kernel in Odin and try again from scratch.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesnt the SGSII require CM5+?
Yeah it does
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1285823
In theory, someone could release a kernel with CM4.x for the I777 - but no one has.
If you're in CWM 4.x, I have NO clue what the hell you installed - it sure wasn't for your device.

Bricked Phone

Hello all I was trying to update my SS to the newest version and I did everything correct... or so I thought. I downloaded it and then launched the apk and installed it, then I installed the recovery again in the actual app. I then went to restart it so I can get the new nightlies on it for kitkat and it showed the Motorola symbol at the start and then a black screen. Did hard restarts and everything in my power and my phone does not move at all. It just hard restarts and does the same thing. Turns it off then starts back up by itself and gets past the logo when SS would normally start up and then black screen... no buttons lighting up at all or anything. Any idea? I have insurance and extended warranty on it but kind of would like to see if I can save it or not.
Do you have a XT910 or XT912?

Ok. Hold the Volume Buttons and Power button all at the same time and when you see the screen flash hold those same buttons again and you will see a couple of options. Recovery, etc. What you have to do is go to AP Fastboot using the Volume Down Button then select it by pressing the Volume Up button then when you are in AP Fastboot Mode use the 1st option on the Utility.

Thanks for the help but it is still a no go. I masked the root and apk files I messed with and hopefully they will not see it when I send the phone to them. Worse case scenario I have to pay for the new phone which I would have to anyway. I think I am all good though done this before
