anaragayevafr hes not trying to be a **** either. The devs we have now are working their asses off right now on CM7 and Unlocking the BL without losing 4G oh and they're living their lives
I've been trying to make a p-rom good enough to be released...its a hard process if you have no clue in what you're doing.
I can direct you to some great threads to help....

I really want to learn how to make roms and themes, I know I know, there are tons of tutorials and guides on how to do this. What I want to do is be someones apprentice. I learn really quick and have been repairing computers and troubleshooting them for about 10 years. My only problem is that I don't know coding. Just want someone to teach me the ropes. I know a lot of you devs are busy because of CM7 but I can learn really fast! Hopefully someone can help me!

First off, thank you for serving our country!
I can understand both sides of this argument. You defend our rights, including freedom of speech. It is just a quote, but when you have as large an audience as the net provides, you need to watch what you say and do. Even tho quotes like that are fine when you are with your friends, all it takes is one person to be offended and your done. Arguing isn't going to help, they have the right to their opinions too, you defend them as well.
Sometimes you just need to smile, say "you're right, I'm sorry", remove the offending item and carry on (it's how I've stayed married for as long as I have ).

Ok, I've had it with some of you. To me, it seems most of you spend your day flaming our dear developers. As soon as they make one little mistake, you rage on them till your heart's content.
Yesterday, nobdyAtall made a little mistake of not including a certain system file in the CWM Recovery.zip and some flamed him for it. So what that some of us (me included) had to flash with SEUS and start all over?
You need to stop flaming the developers and complaining. Unless you donate to them, you aren't entitled to anything. If you dislike the ROM or whatever it may be, then don't use it anymore. We don't care if you dislike it and you don't need to share that piece of irrelevant information with us. They spend their day making sure their ROMs work well, and there are always bugs to encounter, even though a ROM seems flawless.
I know these forums are rarely moderated, and because of this we need to sto posting senseless **** (Even me, I know). The main purpose of a ROM's thread, is to post bugs and general questions, and not just say "omg dis roms greeeeet"

Well basically, this girl I like, and me have the same phone, the Atrix 4G. Now I wanted to ask her to a dance, and wanna make an app for that, Something creative and original, like say plays a youtube video of me asking her to the dance, then opens up a prompt which says yes and no, if she selects yes, her phone calls/texts me the answer, what is your opinion on this? I'm sure you can but that's the problem with xda lately. A lot of people are more worried about bashing each other or policing forums then they are helping one another. Don't get me wrong, there is things that shouldn't be posted and there are threads that shouldn't be started but guess what, that's not my job to say what's good and what isn't. When I first came to xda it was such a great place to learn and I had so many people that helped me and if it weren't for them I wouldn't know half of what I know now. Not saying I know alot but now days I can't imagine coming here and being new and asking a question. Ok. I'm done. Usually don't get into stuff like this but I used to love xda and I've learned so much from this place and I use to really enjoy hanging out here but things have just fallen apart.

Even when I joined back in March **** wasn't this way. The EVO 4G forums were so ridiculously cool and laid back there. That's why I joined, I wanted an easygoing community. Sad to see XDA shaping up to be the way it is... the drama between Virus and JoelZ9614 in the EVO 4G forums today was insane...
It got ugly between them, and yup EVO forums back In the day were awesome any question you asked was nicely awnsered and wasnt thrown back at you calling you an idiot or some other harsh word that are beign used today. It wansnt till I got in the EVO 3D forums were I saw a bunch of B.S that was childish to begin with. XDA has changed for the worst.

But on second thought. I kinda like the phone the way it is, the lack of ten thousand of the same ROM with a different color for the theme is nice. If you REALLY need that, hit up the Evo 3D or the ET4G. Both will suit you PERFECTLY. And also will keep us from having a million of the same ROM's. BUT...if you WANT the Photon. The above link should tell you everything you need to know about building a ROM. And then you can make it ANYWAY you want, and don't have to rely on anyone else. Problem solved for everyone.

Sounds like you need a different phone. This same question has been asked a bunch of times already and the answer has been that the Photon will probably never be as dev rich as phones like the SGS2 and E3D. Most peeps with the Photon are ok with that but for the others that need to flash something new every day/week need to get another device.
The problem with these type of posts is they create more negativity for the Photon which is why some take it personally. We don't like our beloved device (or developers) put in a negative light.
