So i went to bestbuy today to see if i could find a case for my shiny new white amaze, and although i didnt find a case, i did get a seidio 1900 mah extended battery for the evo 3d... although its for the evo 3d, it fits perfectly inside the Amaze... and its the same thickness as well so it doesn't interfere or alter the way the backplate fits, i have'nt used it for a full day yet, but will report back with how much better/worse the battery life is with the seidio after i calibrate it/use it for a few days... for those of you who want the battery and go to bestbuy to grab one, ask the associate for the "Pt spare battery" for the Evo 3d, as it doesn't say seidio anywhere on the packaging for some reason, but it does say it on the back of the battery... it looks cool too..

Yeah when I got mine I tried the Anker 1900 mAh battery I had from my Sensation and it fit perfectly and seemed to work just fine as well. They're only $12.99 on eBay with free shipping. How much was the Seidio?

Cool.
How about compared with the OE battery though? I ask because each user's experiences varies, so I'm curious as to - holding all else constant - what the difference between the OE and Sedio are. Thanks!
dont really know, i havent used the OE battery for more than 3 hours on the first day before i switched to this... but what i can say is the OE battery was draining so rapidly that it pushed me to call my wife and tell her to bring one home with her, and since that point ive been extremely happy with its performance....

Thanks. Yeah I haven't had over 7 hours of life on this battery. I know I've been using it a lot, but I didn't touch it for an hour and have already turned down the sync crap etc. and it still dropped 10% when I checked it one hour later.

My stock battery was giving me around 4 hrs after calibration. Now lets see how much this seidio battery last.
BTW Seidio battery is bit thicker than stock.

Wow $50 bucks for a battery... I use my anker from my sensation and i only paid $ 20 bucks for 2 and also came with a charging station... I've been getting about 22 hours with moderate use on the phone and I have bluetooth on and sync on all day and night. the Original battery i would get about 12 hours of use. btw 3.7v vs 3.8 does not hurt the phone or it's performance

I am on the fence, Now that i hear the sensation Anker battery works i can get 2 of those plus a charger for 29 or get the evo 3d battery for 49. guess the only difference is the evo battery is 3.8v like the Amaze and the sensation battery is 3.7v. any suggestions?
I don't know how you able to get that Good battery life. I hardly got half day via stock battery. Maybe i use a lot.
On Seidio i get close to 11 hrs on heavy use and on moderate use i came close to 18 hrs.

I usually wouldn't care about the size of my G1 and adding thickness to it for the sake of adding battery life but as of late I gotten a hold of a nice plastic cover for my G1 which also doubles as a neato belt clip (for only 10 bucks... flirtin with them T-Mobile ladies does me good ).
Thus, now adding thickness to my phone in exchange for getting rid of this hard cover/belt clip isn't a option I'm very likely to take up and last I checked up on high capacity batteries it would add sigificant thickness like a 2100mah (or was it 2400 *shrugs*). Was wondering if there's any batteries that doesn't add to overall physical size while giving me better then stock life of just 1100mAh. Thanks!!
I know how you feel, I have a sexy ass neon green hard case for my g1, make it look sick. I had the same problem and tried three different battery retailers online for an extended life battery. The one that I settled on was the Andida: check out this post. You can find the eBay seller most of the people in the thread bought it from, good seller but ships from Hong Kong so shipping takes a while. I'd solidly recommend the Andida, I've had nothing but excellent performance out of it, considerably better than the OEM battery from HTC. Some people had mixed reviews about it, but in my experience, it was an excellent purchase.
I'm also using an Andida battery I bought off of ebay for just under $10, and it works beautifully! It's a 1600mAh battery with the exact same dimensions as the stock 1150mAh battery HTC provides, giving you 40% more battery life between charges without adding any thickness to the phone. It's the highest capacity battery I've found that doesn't require you to get a deeper back cover.
I've been useing the Innocell 1400mAh battery and its worked out quite nicely.
i use the regular battery, and it works for me 2 days, with lots of use and 3g use

Not necessarily lies. Battery life is heavily dependent on your particular rom.
Hero based roms seems to suck battery like no tomorrow.
If you are running a hero based rom, try running the latest Cyanogen rom and post back results.
I get a couple of days on my Fommy 1700 regularly.

Screw it, I'm ordering one, and I'll let you all know how it does. I remember how much I loved the heft of my treo 755p... still miss that phone sometimes, but the g1 does all the things that I loved it for and more, all it needs is the gigantic battery life, and now it may have it.

Well, the guy even tested it, and it came out to almost twice the original battery, at about 2900. That's definitely a plus. Problem is, it only tested at 81% of advertised... If the 1900 comes out to 81%, it'll be 1540 mAh, smaller than the OEM battery.
Hopefully someone grabs it and does a real test to see how it stacks up.
Got a set of Chichitech batteries for my 4G off Amazon a couple months ago: two batteries and a charger for $28.99. They are advertized as 1900 mah. Not sure if they are quite that but they definitely last longer than the stock Evo 4G battery so I was happy for about 14 bucks per battery. This looks too much like "early adopter ripoff" where people charge high fees for being the first out the door.

Have you tried downloading battery monitor free and seeing what it shows up as? My oem extended shows like 2740 or something. I appreciate the answer though. You mind if I ask what kind of screen on time your getting? I usually get in the 5h range. I've made it almost 6 before using strictly wifi.

I just got one of these and I'm satisfied. Seems to be working great.

You wouldn't have any battery stats would you? Or maybe how much screen on time you're getting out of it? If you don't mind me asking.

do you have a link to battery monitor free? also, I don't know much about my screen on time (I think it was about 4.5 but with 4 days idle on 3g) because I prefer the slimmer original battery.
edit: stats
Found these on ebay. I personally own two of the 1800 mAh AceSoft batteries and I have seen somewhat of an improvement over the stock (granted it's only 1.5 hours extra on average), but that's better than nothing. These are 1980 mAh
These are some stats from the 1800

That's not too bad considering. Does the 1980 fit under stock cover?

It says in the description its the same physical size as stock. Considering the mugen 1900 mAh is literally over twice the price, I'd say its worth a try.

Good find for 14.00 what the heck.. can't be any worse than my stock bat.
I got one of the 1,800 AceSofts with a battery charger on eBay for like $15 total. I didn't see any gain at all with it, even after a couple cycles. I bought the Mugen, after making sure if it didn't do anything I could return it, and got good results. The first two days with it saw awful life, but I followed their directions and now get about 15% better life. Which doesn't really do much for standby time, but with the same screen on time, I can go to bed now at like 30% instead of around 15-20. Can't really fully recommend it yet, as I know a lot of these third party batteries lose their max mAh over time pretty quickly. But as for now, the Mugen is worth it for me. Kinda want to try the 4,000mAh, but it's waaaaay to expensive lol
Ordered one as well. I have the Mugen 1900 and my accuracy readings were always off. The phone always went from 24% -14% within seconds and would die rigth after that. I did the battery stats things and that didn't help (I know it doesn't really calibrate the battery at all) so I put my stock back in and I'm getting the same battery life with it that I was with the Mugen. and its nice to have an accurate battery again. We'll see how this one does. The Mugen battery is rediculously overpriced. We shall see how this one does.
Anyone get theirs yet?

I got mine but haven't had a chance to charge it up yet. I'll charge it up tonight and give some feedback after a couple days of use

Can you post up some screen shots side by side with the stock ones screen shots when you do, for comparison purposes? I hope it really makes a difference, I'll definitely buy if it does.

I'd be happy to but that will take a few days if you want it to accurate at all lol. A couple to get an accurate read on the new battery and a full day to drain the stock one and get a ss

Thunderbolt batteries work. I have a thunderbolt 2750 extended in my phone, right this second. I swap it in with my normal 2750 rezound extended. They're $4, all over the place (without the back cover, which you don't need anyway, because it's the wrong one).
I'd imagine if they make 1980's or anything like it for thunderbolt, that one of those would be worth trying as well.
got mine on saturday
Ok I received my 1980 battery yesterday I am going to charge it up for 6 hours per the instructions. I'll post my results later this week.
Here are initial results. It died at the red mark. Went from 19% to 8% in about ten minutes then just died. So that's about 15 hours with 3 hours of streaming music from play music in a low reception area. Keep in mind this is day one (and I did calibrate the battery before use)
This Space For Rent...Fax me
Screen time on that? Are you pleased with the results so far?
