Totally recommend this.

The seidio 4000mah is the best battery I have used.
But if you have a smaller budget try this:

Is pretty close in quality...

Anker. You can find them on eBay.
I don't know too much about anker but I would go with chichitec. There was a deal going with them where you can get two batteries and a battery wall charger for $35 or close to $35.

Also there was a coupon code going around for 10% off.... Search the accessories threads for the code.

Wow, do you just go around quoting that the Evo 3d will be a brick if you do anything to modify it? you said the exact same thing in a different thread about the Ballistic HC case.
Seriously, if you don't like to modify your phone, fine, but please stop making flippant comments to those of us who like to accessorize it.

Fair enough, but why would you even say something like that at all if it wasn't intended to invoke anything other than a negative response?
I recommend Chichitec 2000 mah. battery. Fits under stock cover comes with 2 batteries and a wall charger. I never run out of juice and it costs $30 bucks at the most. Been using mine for about 5 months now and is still running good. Need to calibrate when first using it charge it up fully then fully drain for 3 times each battery then your good to go.

Well, the guy even tested it, and it came out to almost twice the original battery, at about 2900. That's definitely a plus. Problem is, it only tested at 81% of advertised... If the 1900 comes out to 81%, it'll be 1540 mAh, smaller than the OEM battery.
Hopefully someone grabs it and does a real test to see how it stacks up.
Got a set of Chichitech batteries for my 4G off Amazon a couple months ago: two batteries and a charger for $28.99. They are advertized as 1900 mah. Not sure if they are quite that but they definitely last longer than the stock Evo 4G battery so I was happy for about 14 bucks per battery. This looks too much like "early adopter ripoff" where people charge high fees for being the first out the door.

So i went to bestbuy today to see if i could find a case for my shiny new white amaze, and although i didnt find a case, i did get a seidio 1900 mah extended battery for the evo 3d... although its for the evo 3d, it fits perfectly inside the Amaze... and its the same thickness as well so it doesn't interfere or alter the way the backplate fits, i have'nt used it for a full day yet, but will report back with how much better/worse the battery life is with the seidio after i calibrate it/use it for a few days... for those of you who want the battery and go to bestbuy to grab one, ask the associate for the "Pt spare battery" for the Evo 3d, as it doesn't say seidio anywhere on the packaging for some reason, but it does say it on the back of the battery... it looks cool too..

How about compared with the OE battery though? I ask because each user's experiences varies, so I'm curious as to - holding all else constant - what the difference between the OE and Sedio are. Thanks!
dont really know, i havent used the OE battery for more than 3 hours on the first day before i switched to this... but what i can say is the OE battery was draining so rapidly that it pushed me to call my wife and tell her to bring one home with her, and since that point ive been extremely happy with its performance....

Wow $50 bucks for a battery... I use my anker from my sensation and i only paid $ 20 bucks for 2 and also came with a charging station... I've been getting about 22 hours with moderate use on the phone and I have bluetooth on and sync on all day and night. the Original battery i would get about 12 hours of use. btw 3.7v vs 3.8 does not hurt the phone or it's performance

I am on the fence, Now that i hear the sensation Anker battery works i can get 2 of those plus a charger for 29 or get the evo 3d battery for 49. guess the only difference is the evo battery is 3.8v like the Amaze and the sensation battery is 3.7v. any suggestions?
I don't know how you able to get that Good battery life. I hardly got half day via stock battery. Maybe i use a lot.
On Seidio i get close to 11 hrs on heavy use and on moderate use i came close to 18 hrs.

Ya read that a few times over the past couple of weeks, unfortunately it doesn't provide too much info.
clearly its anker in my opinion, great on the sensation and just as good on the amaze. Doesn't stay at 100% as long as it did on the sensation but overall same results (anker 1900 6 months use zero flaws)

I honestly think htc did something different with the software, the battery life on the amaze (with the anker battery) is horrible compared to the sensation, when i had the sensation i was easily getting 18 to 20+ hours, on the amaze i'll be lucky to get 12 hours. Doesn't really bother me as I can easily make it through the day.
I would stick to very reputable vendors for batteries. I learned the hard way on my last phone (HTC Nexus One) that the new phones have a chip in the battery that the phone interacts with to manage power. Not all the "discount" batteries have a fully functional chip and that causes issues. Also many of the replacement batteries didn't actually provide the rated capacity. Here is one thread on the capacity testing.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649770
Definitely worth researching replacement battery purchases.
Has anyone looked at Laza's 3240mah on Amazon? I wonder how well it will work. I purchased one for 9.99 and paid less than $15 after shipping. It came in today and I got it on the charger now. Looks like Amazon has it for 14.99+S&H now, but has anyone bought this before? If so, how is the life?
Cannot post link because of new account.
Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/Laza-3240mah-...3MP7F92W1P0LP&qid=1336612561&s=generic&sr=1-8
It seems kinda cheap looking but I could be wrong. May be worth it for that price tho!
For that price I will try another Ext. Battery.
those reviews look SO fake. if it drops down to 9.99 again, maybe i'll grab one ;D
No thanks. That thing will either stop holding charge within a couple months, or explode next to your head while its on the nightstand charging overnight....
The review on the bottom is fake. Companies that review their own product often spell "the" as "teh" in their posts to make you think its real because it contains a typo..... But i'll stick with the $25 extended battery I got from my local VZW store...
Well, one thing I noticed is that I cannot connect to 4G. Anybody have any idea why?

Here's an 1850mA for pretty cheap:

or this one but it does not fit the stock case:

Personnelly, I spent $10 and bought 4 spare batteries and a battery charger and I just replace on the go.
Most of these batteries they sell on Ebay are overrated in the actual mah capacity they claim. There is a way to check the mah with a meter and a small load and a timer but to me its too much trouble.
Some are good some are not. You are essentially buying a pig in a poke. They are cheap, not doubt about that.
Here is a lot I bought out of china. They sold these in a lot of 10 for $39.00 with free shipping. Took about two weeks for me to get them.
So, that's about $4.00 each. They seem fine.

As long as you don't charge them, they will have a long shelf life. Once you charge them then you should use them by cycling.
I only use 2 for now, rotating them out. If you play games or watch movies, the battery drains fast. I know its a pain to pop the back off and swap em but at least you can do it.
The new EVO 4G LTE, does not come with a removable battery. Once you run it down, it has to go on the charger. One feature I don't like about it. However, I think HTC is moving in that direction on all their future phones.
I like being able to change the battery. I used to listen with headset all day at work with my phone in my shirt pocket at the factory. I would have to swap out two to three batteries a day. I had a stack of them on another HTC phone I had.
.
Does anyone have an answer for my question?

I really hope your wrong. Although I wouldn't doubt it. Real stupid move. I'm gonna say it might really hurt them financially. This is one of the many reasons I've stayed away from that i-crap out there. I would have been one of the first on the waiting list to get the new evo 4g from sprint. I've been following that phone a long time. No quad core and lack of being able to replace a battery, no thanks.
I like extended batteries no matter how good the stock one is. My evo 3d stock battery is way better than when I had my evo 4g with stock battery. I'm rooted and runnin swagged out with the kernel it came with. I get 1-3 days of battery life with my stock evo3 battery. Can't wait till the end of the week for my new ext battery to get here. I'm really hoping I see 2-5 days or more. Not many phones will do that. Not even those precious i-devices those sheep love.

I'm going to guess and say they will fit just fine. I have the same charger and their pic shows it being flush with the top of the chatter. Plus it doesn't come with a extended battery back cover. Factory evo 3d batteries are 1730mah and those are 1900mah. Not much difference there. Its not like its a 2500-4000mah battery.

There is no being wrong about it. The phone is out. This is easy to prove.
I've played with it. The HTC rep at Radio Shack had one.
The battery life is tremendously good on the phone especially giving the size of the screen. However, like I say when its dead or almost there, it has to be on the charger. You cannot simple just swap in a fresh battery. Ain't happening on that phone. And I agree, big mistake for HTC - I reckon they're counting on the fact they've add enough bells and whistles to get you to overlook this.
I've always had an idea for a battery. Why can't they make a battery like a capacitor. Where it would charge up in like a nano second and discharge very slowly as needed on demand. That way, when you need to charge it, you'd just walk over the charger, zap it for 2 seconds and unplug it --- good to go for another few days.
Also what every happened to fuel cell powered cell phones? They told us that one fuel cell would power the phone for 20 to 30 years without ever charging. Science fiction I guess.
Even the new film type screens they're working on will require power. Even if you can get the screen as thin as a dollar bill and flexible, its still going to require a battery.
