Is there a way to change back to stock notification bar, or to change it in any aspect? An update.zip maybe? :/

Im currently using the Home Base rom. I was previously using some other roms, and I think it was in the Alien #4 rom that the carrier was displayed in the status bar at the top left at all times.
I don't want to download any apps like phono or change carrier name unless necessary. Is there some kind of mod to restore the carrier name to the status bar or do I just have to use a rom that has that mod?

Just a question, but...why would you WANT the carrier's name at the top left? They removed it because it looks nicer and offers you more room for any status bar messages that may appear.
I just got used to it in the original rom I guess
I did accidently restored the AT&T to the status bar by replacing SystemUI.apk file with one from a rom that had it.
Try using the file from this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1222426
Actually this is the file that I used to do this. Only use on 4.5.91 or it may cause stability issues if it works at all.
Recently flashed cm9.1 stable.. attempted to change notification bar toggles.. they simply don't change.
Tried fixing permissions, install was a full wipe..
Any ideas ?

I don't know how much more specific I can be.. I go into settings, change the toggles.. pull the drop down menu and there the same. No change is not saved..
Are you using the latest 9.1 stable ?
EDIT: I've discovered that when using any dpi beside the stock value.. the settings options are different also, you don't have as many toggles & options in status bar settings. Obviously a bug.. problem solved use dpi, set the options in settings and then revert back to custom dpi.
My widgetlocker is not showing the custom sliders on custom slider list. When i move the themes manually to the themes folder,it doesnt shows them on list.If i download them with browser and open with widgetlocker,it shows it's name on theme textbox, but shows the standart android slider.
What could be the problem?

Hi,
I'm just a newbe.
I have the original stock rom (Gingerbread 2.3.6) with root permissions in a Galaxy Mini 2 (GT-S6500).
I'd like to customize the original status bar and notification bar. For instance, I want to change then toggle buttons adding "Airplane mode", and stuff like that.
How can I do that? I tried to look for this in the web but I couldn't find something straight to follow. I got lost between various "deodexed" things.
Which are the steps I should follow?
Thank you,
Enryfantasy
this works for me
try the lidroid toggles, download and flash

works for me
On my Honor 7 and android 5.0, I had transparent notification icons. I updated to 6.0 a while ago, they're not transparent anymore (and they have colors). I want the old icons back, any way to get those?
No, on Marshmallow update you have to stick with those colorful icons only, but if you are rooted and want to remove the box like background from a icon, then follow these steps:
Download any Root Explorer from Play Store.
Navigate to /system/themes.
Delete file named icons.hwt.
You'll get rid of your icon backgrounds.

Or, you can always rollback to Lollipop if you don't want colored icons.
