I try to downgrade my spl, but i can't find a rom. The HTC site doesn's have them anymore... Can someone please help me? I want SPL 1.42.0000 so i can install HSPL.

The version of hspl that requires 1.42.0000 (hspl1, or just hspl) is nearly two years out of date. Use hspl3 or, if you currently have spl 3.03.0000 use Hspl4. See my sig for links.
Thanks for your help, but i want to install MAGLDR for my Android version. The post says this:
Android / WP7 / MAGLDR don't support HSPL3.03/OSPL3.03.
You need HSPL2.08 to run Android / WP7 / MAGLDR.

put phone in bootloader mode
run hspl4, choose 2.08.hspl
reboot into bootloader
flash radio 2.15.50
reboot into bootloader
flash magldr
restart phone
magldr should start
choose 'USB Flasher'
flash required CWM partition size
reboot into magldr
choose option 8 'AD Recovery'
CWM should boot (orange text)
((if you haven't yet done so, choose 'advanced - partition sd card' and set an EXT partition)) This step will format ALL your sd card, so copy off anything you want to save first.
choose 'flash zip from sd card' - 'choose zip from sd card'
reboot
thats it.

A wrong D600 rom is flashed into my D600, and now it stop at the first splash image and never go further.
I've tryed these below but none helps.
1. Reformat ROM by hold the left & right button then reset.
2. Enter bootloader and flash any rom that I've flashed before, but they all aborted at 2% and then reboot.
3. Dump a os.nb & a extrom.nb from a never flashed D600, and generate a nbh and flash, the result is the same as 2.
The SPL version of my D600 is 1.03.000, and I use the jumpspl to flash a rom before, but now I can not enter the system in the phone and can not run jumpspl anymore.
I thought the key point is that some number or value in these roms are not correct. I've tried both GENE10000 as Model ID, 11111111 as Country ID, 1.00.000.0 as Version, WWE as Language and GENE10000 as Model ID, SuperCID as Country ID, 1.00.000.0 as Version, CHS as Language.
I found an article (http://www.aray.cn/archives/1687 in Chinese) that said there is a list to modify the nbh by model and spl version, but I cannot find the list.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

plz, download any version of ROM as WWE, then connect your device with computer, enter BOOT LOADER, then just click the RUU.exe files, your device will formatted, think it will help you..

I've tried that, but it didn't solve the problem. RUU got an error code 270 at progress 2% and my phone then reboot.
I forgot to write that RUU report error code 270 when flashing any rom at progress 2%.
I also tried to flash via sd card
but an error message "invalid certificate" got when checking sd contents

Well, just put the rom in your sd card with the name GENEIMG.nbh at the top level
Reboot into the bootloader, it will start automaticlly
Your sd card must be fat32 fs type.

Thank you for sharing , but my phone didn't responded to it.
Anyway did you try to gene_cert_fix to fix certificate issue of rom before flashing
It is said that not all gene phone will act, but most do.
I havn't tried the gene_cert_fix.
I found one via google and I'll try it later.

My gene is not booting after the upgrade process
i.e after clicking the finish button the gene should reboot
but it didnt reboot
tried rebooting the phone manually

open up your battery and insert it again.go to boot loader mode and re start rom update utility and flash the rom u wish to.i supposed u have patched your spl well.the spl version should be 1.07.Oref.

the rom u wish u flash should be named ruu_signed.nbhif u are using spl locking tools in this post the ruu should be in the rom update utility folder outside the spl Updater (olipro & orekfro) folders.
do read the thread carefully again before u flash.

I was trying to set my raph to stock, cuz warranty.
But, after flashing stock SPL, it goes to bootloader write :
" Upgrade rom code error, please try again"
What was happend:
1)I forgot to flash back stock Radio, so... my Raphael now stay in bootloader. And write "Upgrade ROM code error, please try again".
2)I was tried to flash stoc SPL via SD card. maybe it is problem.
What was I try:
I tried to flash HardSPL, but it stuck on 0%
I tried to flash stock Radio, but it stuck on 0%
I tried to flash stock ROM , but it stuck on 0%
I tried to flash non-stoc ROM, and it writes "Invalid vendor ID" or somethink like that, its cuz I have stock SPL, right?

!! If you will try this way it is on your own risk !!
Here is how to solve this issue:
1) Download MTTY 1.42
2) Download ActiveSync Drivers
3) Download STOCK ROM for your phone(best is from you provider or seller web site)
4) Install drives and disable USB connection in ActiveSync and reboot your computer
5) Set your phone to bootloader and connect via USB
6) Open MTTY set connection to USB
7) Send command "set 16 0" in mtty (without the quotes)
8) Reboot your phone and set it again to bootloader
9) Allow USB connection in ActiveSync and run RUU with stock Rom and Radio
10) If flash is done, make hard-reset
11) You are done!
!!This comes with no gaurentee!!
I cant find way out of this issue
Maybe mtty can help, but I dont know what was write as commands.
A few members have run into that issue before.
Before MTTY, I recommend posting in the HardSPL thread to see if such a member can share some insights.

As far as I know, HardSPL and the stock SPL cannot be flashed via SD card. You must use the .exe file that you download with HardSPL. I believe that the first post of the HardSPL thread says something to that effect. Flashing the stock SPL should always be done LAST, so flash your stock ROM and Radio (if the ROM does not include the Radio). If your phone is stuck in bootloader, you should still be able to flash your device. See this thread for more information about flashing back to stock SPL.

Yea, I know it now too HardSPL and stock SPL only via cable.
Yea, Im able to flash, but it every time stuck on 0%
And if i try to flash ROM what isnt for my Rahp it write "invalid vendor id", its because I got stock SPL and I cant find way how to flash HardSPL - normal way isnt working for me.
I dont know if what i have in mind will fix it - or possibly make it worse! so i wont post it here (in case someone else mistakes it for propper advice!) but check your PM - and remember it comes with no gaurentee!

i know that i can SOFF it via a tool HTC has released but i also know that i don't really need it and i can use CM even with C-ON (am i right?)
most root guides i see are for 1.01 and not 0.43 so i prefer asking then killing the phone
You don't want to unlock the bootloader with HTC's tool! You can flash the Alpharev bootloader! That one allows everything, even downgrading.
REMEMBER: ROOTING WILL VOID WARRANTY AND YOU ACCEPT FULL RESPONSEBILITY!!
To root if you have S-OFF:
- First download any rooted rom (eg the 7.2 KANG rom) and CWM recovery (You want the S-OFF .img file): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1290841 Put the rooted ROM on your SD card. You'l need the recovery later.
- Download fastboot (I uploaded it for you to make it easier: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/33521967/fastboot.exe) Then put fastboot in a folder. Also put the CWM recovery image in the same folder as fastboot.exe. Then do Shift + Right click on the folder and chose "open command prompt here" then do

Now turn of your phone then press volume down + power at the same time. Navigate to recovery using the volume buttons. Then press the power button. Now the phone should boot in Clockworkmod recovery.
Now you can use the trackball of your phone to scroll down to install zip from SD card en click on the trackball to choose that option. Now select choose zip from SD card. Now you'll see the contents of your SD card. Scroll down the .zip file of the rooted ROM you downloaded and click on the trackball again. Now choose Yes - Install ............. (WARNING THIS WILL DELETE EVERYTHING ON THE PHONE!) after a succesfull install of the ROM you have a rooted device!

If you don't want S-OFF you can use that guide the unlocker. And if you use the S-ON CWM then you use FakeFlash, You have to rename the CWM zip package to update.zip, boot up in recovery, then select update.zip, you'll get CWM recovery.
But if you want S-OFF, what problems do you have with Alpharev? With S-OFF it's way easier, you don't need to downgrade ur ROM, you can just flash anything, like I said in my previous post.

A really great rom is the one for YOUR phone and not one for HTC legend. hahaha you need to pay attention and look at what your doing or you'll end up bricking your phone

Hello everybody,
I would like to share my problem on my htc desire 601 zara_ul.
I just did the unlock bootloader / recovery / and root steps but i'm facing another issues.
I tried to install the InsertCoin from this post :

And sometimes the Aroma installer goes until the end successfully, and sometimes my phone just reboots half the installation.
And when it ends successfully , when i reboot, i just can't boot , i'm still stuck on the green htc logo on the white background.
Does anybody have an idea of what i'm doing wrong and how i could have a functional phone asap ? ( can't find/undersand how to restore a ruu for this phone ...)
I have no access to my sd card because i have no devices to read it.
Just tell me if you need more informations , and sorry for the form of the text, french is my native language.

You need to flash boot.img from insertcoin rom *.zip.
Also you can mount you SD card as USB-Storage from your Recovery (if its CWM - Mount and Storage > Mount usb storage, if TWRP - Mount>Mount USB storage).

I tried to extract the boot.img from zip.
Then did a fastboot flash boot boot.img successfully
But when i did fastboot reboot it got stuck.
I got the same results.

Omg..You must flash firmware.zip from the Kit Kat OTA. InsertCoin worked ONLY on kit Kat firmware - hboot 2.22.0000

Tried to do that with the updater script but with no luck.
TWRP says md5 check fail.
And philz touch says Finding update, opening update, installing update , then installation aborted.
